There's three games left from this year's lineup that I'm definitely getting. Those being TLoZ: Echoes of Wisdom, DQ III and Mario & Luigi Brothership! I'll have to wait until my birthday in December to get into DQ as my missus is buying it for me but I'll 100% be getting into Brothership day one 😀 The Mario & Luigi series is up there with my favourites of all time so to have a new game after all this time is a dream come true! I need to make sure I play & beat Paper Jam before the new one releases, as I'm yet to experience that one.
That's an excellent trio of games for sure! I'm not planning to get Echoes of Wisdom right away, but I think my preference for Zelda games is more containable, smaller experiences. Even games like Twilight Princess and Wind Waker seem so much more appealing to me than the MASSIVE adventures of BotW and TotK right now. I'll get around to picking it up someday! Mario & Luigi Brothership looks fantastic, though. I'm a bit behind on the M&L series, but I was there day 1 with Superstar Saga on GBA and absolutely adored that game. I'm glad the series is still going strong!! And you KNOW I'll be there day 1 for Dragon Quest III :)
I almost included it in this list but Avowed just slightly beat it out to make it in my Top 5. The game seems to be getting a lot of criticism from fans for not looking like a traditional Dragon Age, but I’m personally really liking the style they’re going for. Not as serious with more humor, but still an emphasis on story involving a lot of characters. The combat mechanics look great as well! Definitely something on my radar that I hope to play this fall. @@RE-LOOIE Don't take into consideration that kind of fan. Really. Dragon Age as a franchise has never had a "traditional Dragon Age feel". The Veilguard will be the fourth game, from 4 completely different games in terms of storytelling, protagonist, gameplay and aesthetic. And the games have been evolving to become progressively more action oriented and less "tactical". So the only real probable outcome for The Veilguard was to have more action than Inquisition. And yet, the vast amount of building potential from that skill tree and the fact that you can tailor your party before each mission to best tackle each challenge grants it the strategic depth that even Inquisition lacked. So don't fall for people wanting BG4 from The Veilguard. It'll probably be a strong contender to Game Of The Year.

It was clear to me, especially from Origins to DA2, that the series didn’t have a singular identity, so I was almost more confused why fans were so upset Vanguard didn’t seem to retain that “identity” in recent trailers 😅 Regardless, it sounds like there’s a Dragon Age game for everyone (tactical vs more action-oriented). Some great games here! I think we pretty much agree in almost all of the most anticipated, especially that DQ game! As for games that i really still want to check out, Sand Land is definitely high on that list! Plus some indie games ive heard a lot about like 1000xResist. I also really wanna get to Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom, which i think you might also really enjoy! Give it a look 😅👀

Great picks Rusty, glad to see another hyped for some DQIII HD-2D! We have been truly spoiled this year with great games and many upcoming bangers. This may come as a shock but I am anticipating many rpg's later this year. Me personally im looking forward to Visions of Mana, DQIII HD-2D, Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven, Metaphor: ReFantazio and Ys X: Nordics. As for some games I still need to grab on sale and play sometime soonish... Dragon's Dogma 2, Sand Land, Stellar Blade and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

I heard Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and Grand Blue Fantasy: Relink are good. Y's 10 and Suikoden 1 & 2 collection are supposed to come out this year.

Astro Bot just looks outstanding so many youtubers said Sony state of play was a joke they had nothing. But Sony had the only first party game that I care about. 2025 it's MH Wilds so far. Just got Tales of arise playing it after God of War the best game I have ever played.

I’ve seen quite a bit of criticism of PlayStation this year for their lack of games, but they’ve had Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Helldivers 2, Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade so far! Not a ton of the true first games I know folks want, but some really solid titles nonetheless. Astro Bot really is shaping up to be a great standout title for them for sure! Happy to hear you enjoyed God of War!

You should take a look at Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Launches this fall!
