@@JLENDSSlol Ant had a great rookie season🤣🤣🤣 ion why tf this nigga putting him and scoot in the same conversation, scoot is having a awful season, Ant had like 30games and after that he was unstoppable
Personally, I wouldn't say I give up on him but I just lower my expectation on him as he's not as good as I thought he would be. Do I hope he proves me wrong? Absolutely.
He should look to get custom contact lenses for whatever eye condition he has. I used to play in sports goggles, those things really affect your space perception/peripheral vision
I think that Scoot Henderson is going to be great and people are too quick to rule him as a "bust". Though his rookie season hasn't been great he is still steadily improving. Scoot's main issues in his game are efficiency and turnovers. Both of which can be improved greatly with time. The point guard position is one of the hardest positions to be when you are a rookie. The PG needs to run the offense and make the play. Scoot leads rookies in assists per night and I think that will keep on improving throughout his sophomore season. Throughout the last games of the season Scoot has had many nights with above 10 assists and more. His guard skills will only improve which means more assists and less turnovers. His other main issue efficiency will also improve over the coming off season. His 3 point shot has started to take off and if he can fix his rim efficiency and mid range I think he could average over 20 points next season. Shooting is an easy thing to fix. I think Scoot could easily become a candidate for the MIP award next year.

@@thuggwaffle8825I agree having better teammates means usually more efficiency but with lesser teammates you usually see more volume. Chet vs victor for example.
The plus minus and win shares do not matter to me at all. Portland is tanking for at least for another year. They haven’t built anything helpful for him aside from having a solid center like Ayton. It’s pretty easy to see just about everything in his game improve next year. I’m hyped!
@@zacht2806 No the training is fine. Putting a bunch of kids fresh out of high school into a professional league just wasn’t as easy as people thought it would be.
It had to be very humbling for that young man after all the hype and build up and anticipation, to finally get to the league and realize that he actually is not,. NBA ready
Truth is the ignite players are playing against way better competition than college players but with far less pressure to actually win. This is why guys that are injured their first year aren't true rookies because the adjustment to having people twice your age living and dying with your performance is a huge one
Next season is going to be the real test. The team is going to be better, they are hopefully going to have a really good rookie added, and he’s gonna have a complete off-season to improve. He hasn’t looked terrible this year, despite what people are saying, but has been shaky. And he’s also looked good at times. On top of everything he’s been injured. Pretty much a push.
I still think he can be really good but the “generational prospect” and next freak athlete PG tag many ppl put on him was never realistic his upside is more like a Baron Davis level point guard and it will take time to develop which is fine. Brandon Miller is and imo probably always will be the better player of the two but it’s no reason to hate on Scoot
Rookies in the NBA don’t go from having “historically bad performances” to then developing into some of the best players in the league. Rookies are bad usually, but this is a historic levels of bad and doesn’t bode well for the future imo.
I knew he wont live up to the expectation😂 but im biased anyway, i never rlly like seeing small guard that rely heavily on athleticism with bad shooting split can make it far… but I still think he can be an efficient 15-18 ppg scorer with 7 apg as long as he perfected his finishing around the rim which gonna make him a good starter pg on a good team… so he wont be a bad player but definitely the expectation is too high for him
He might even be an all star if he improve his midrange consistency and 3pt, lets just see how long it will take for him to be that consistent shooter, either he become a roleplayer or he become an all star in his 4/5th year
I think his floor is probably like a Baron Davis or Rod Strickland type, like a fringe all star that’s definitely solidly in a rotation somewhere for a while. And he still has a high ceiling, despite this season. Many players have had underwhelming rookie seasons, and have busted out in their second or third or even fourth years. It happens all the time. His shooting is underwhelming right now, but he does have a really good eye for open shots and coming off screens. And he has really good form/rhythm physically when he’s putting up shots, even though they’re not going in right now. He can put it together if you combine above average shooting with his ability to penetrate and beat guys off the dribble, that’s a deadly combo. He has the athleticism and physical build to be a Hall of Famer or perennial all star. I’m not at all saying he’s going to be a Hall of Famer, but he has something that 90% of guys in the NBA do not have.
I was surprised he was drafted in the lottery with his Ignite shooting splits/lack of elite size. Still plenty of time but the ceiling seems significantly lower than the Thompson twins, Miller or-rather obviously, Wemby.
First thing that hits me is he is too muscular, and second too narcissistic. But give him a year or more as most casual fans have no patience. Would you trade him for Josh Giddey?
Some of the things he said about being the best ever before the season. But he put on too much muscle but I like him and Portland should really improve. @@younggoose7315

Dude is just not it and had he gone to college probably wouldn't of been a lottery pick I understand dame wanted out and you had a potential franchise pg available but in hindsight passing on brandon miller was so dumb scoot had too many flaws to be drafted that high miller was a much safer pick I guess after portland fires chauncy scoot won't too far behind him..
