I am so happy to see this video as I have been struggling with doing a bezel for a large Swarovski pear shaped crystal. My crystal is 40x27 mm. Please advise how to figure out how many 11 size delicas I need for the first peyote row. Much appreciated!

Hi Johna it might take a little trial and error to figure out the number of size 11 Delicas you will need, usually for a larger stone like that I use larger beads for my bezel. My best suggestion is to try nearly doubling the number of Delicas to start (make sure you still have an odd number) and if this is not big enough you can consider increasing to nearly triple the number used here since your stone is almost three times bigger than the stone used in this video. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply! I did several trials and errors and ended up using 83 beads for the first round. Your instructions and tips are so helpful!

I like your teaching style, but this would have been more helpful if you had used matte beads instead of shiny, light-colored ones because I had a hard time seeing where you inserted the needle at certain junctures. And also needed to know how many beads for each round beyond the initial one. I'm not able to detect some crucial pieces of info when beginning or ending the later rounds and I think it's because of the aforementioned two reasons. I went through this twice and still failed to do it successfully, even though I've bezeled plenty of round crystals.

    Ok. So. Here’s my question.
When are all of you big companies going to be able to publicly admit that all of your “new crystal lines” are actually Swarovski Crystals, repackaged?? We aren’t stupid💅🏽
I’m assuming everyone’s hands are tied. That maybe you have to keep your mouths closed in order to keep selling them. But at this point, we all know what’s up. Whether it’s you guys doing this or Dreamtime Creations doing the “Dreamtime Crystal”, or the *new* “Serinity Crystal” from Bluestreak…they are all made in Austria…they are all Swarovski Crystals. Repackaged under a different name.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m grateful that we can still get them😌
But it’s just getting…ridiculous. BlueStreak has been so bold to say that their Serinity Crystals, made in Austria, are *identical* in quality to the world’s leading crystal brand, which are also made in Austria. Worded exactly like that, which is hilarious😅🤣 Identical. Not similar. Identical. And leaving out the Swarovski name.
I dunno. Crazy times. But we aren’t idiots…these are not Swarovski alternatives. They are Swarovski Crystals. And the only reason they “aren’t” is because they’ve been repackaged under a new name😉
Side note: the two people at Swarovski who led all the stupid new changes have been fired. So I’ve been told to “wait two years and see what happens”.
    Let us hope.

      Hi Mark,
Thanks for your comment! We are a small family business and we started out mainly selling Swarovski; however in 2021 we were notified that we will be barred from buying new Swarovski after September 2021. We still have some Swarovski items in stock which we are allowed to sell but we cannot restock them so they are final sale. Due to this development, we have been forced to find alternative sources for crystals.
Our Krakovski line is not Swarovski under another name, we are not hiding anything lol. We wish we could still get Swarovski but we are not this lucky. I don't know what other companies are doing but I do know that due to these changes at Swarovski new companies have sprung up almost overnight to take over this market including in Austria and Czech Republic so it is possible that these new crystal brands aren't Swarovski either. But I can only speculate about that. If they are selling Swarovski under a different name, they are probably barred from using the name or else face legal action. So I don't think anyone is going to admit it because they don't want to get sued.
What I can tell you is that our Krakovski line isn't Swarovski, these crystals are sourced from Poland, Germany, China and other manufacturers but not in Austria and we do not claim that they are the same quality you can expect from Swarovski. :)

If Swarovski has had them all sign legal agreements, they could get into a lot of hot water making any public statements of this sort. The ridiculousness is 100% the result of Swarovski with their constant family infighting and inability to figure out what they're actually doing. Since they're a huge company with tons of power and resources they could sue any one of these "big companies" you mentioned into oblivion. It's just not worth the risk for Eureka or anyone else. Everyone is playing by Swarovski's rules.
