That's true. But i expected the loudness of the original Xtreme from the Xtreme 2 . The Xtreme 2 is a Boombox for outdoors and outdoors you need a good amount of loudness. The Xtreme 2 sounds really nice though but even the smaller vifa helskinki plays as loud as the old Xtreme while having no distortion and a nice amount of bass. We live in 2018 now and the Vifa helsinki came out in 2015. Jbl could've beaten the Helsinki easily as it has a advantage of a larger size and as a bigger company, it can invest more to make the speaker better. If you like the Xtreme 2 for its sound and don't really need the loudness, it's good but for loudness it rather dissapoints.

Xtreme 2 might not have the amazing clarity but it produces sounds of all genres and types. I am not audio or music genius but most songs are played well over xtreme 2 which you cannot say about bose. Eg: million reasons by gaga is so much better on bose. No tears left to cry is so much better on xtreme 2. Million reasons by gaga isn’t bad on xtreme 2. It’s pretty great. No tears left to cry is pathetic on bose. Overall because of wider range of music and sound quality too, I am going for xtreme 2.

Let's be honest I have put on my headphones. And listen to jbl more Clarity with the midrange and treble and good bass. The bose has get good bass but listen carefully the sounds a bit low on mids. And highs the jbl extreme 2 Sounds more better. I would have To put the equlizer app on the bose speaker to try and wake up the treble and the midrange but its A personal choice at the end of the day. With that said, the JBL is louder by far, but I definitely hear a better overall balance and I even heard one of the instruments while the Bose was on, that I didn't even notice when the JBL was playing. I have the Bose actually 2 of them, and I have 2 JBL charge 4 speakers. I Use the JBL mostly outside for some reason they sound better outside, and the Bose sit on the shelves inside. The Bose sound better reflecting off of a wall, but I feel like the Bose was bested in this against the extreme. The JBL sounds perfect here.
This video doesn’t do justice to the Bose trust me. The Bose sounds so clean when heard in person, it performs really well when played on volume too. But jbl has a more bass on it for sure.
