Just found you. I really like the way you did the sound comparison with each speaker with different tracks. Just what I was looking for and didn’t find with other comparison reviews so thank you.
Reviewers always want to compare Bose speakers with a larger speaker instead of a comparable one. Maybe they think that will give the larger speaker a fair advantage over the Bose. I own both the Bose Soundlink Flex and the Bose Portable Speaker and both are excellent. I also own a Flip5 which I love dearly. The Flip 5 excellent for quantity and the Bose speakers are excellent for quality. I would choose quality over quantity any day. The Bose Portable Speaker does produce an extremely large amount of sound and I only need to play it at one third volume to fill my living room with quality sound and that sound comes with a hefty price tag, but fortunately I purchased it before the price increase. The Bose Flex was engineered for quality, not quantity and I can definitely live with that. Basically it's your decision as to what your preference is when it comes to choosing a speaker.
Awesome review. I just ordered the bose portable speaker. Based on your review I think that the bose variant looks extremely beautiful and luxurious when compared to the JBL variant. Also, the voice seems much smoother on Bose :)

It seems that you're in the room when listening to bose and the jbl sounds like you're listening in live. I think the jbl is good for outdoor and bose is good for indoor but booth of them have amazing sounds. For me i would choose the jbl.

@@barbar1an_ no no mane, if you know something about speakers then you would not argue, onyx just has a lot better balance and overall smoother sound, but xtreme is just louder. Trust me ive compared them, ground and sky 2 different things. Xtreme is just only good if you take speakers out with you.

Bose better over all...
To me, the Bose sounded clearer, and more even across the audio range from low to high.. where the JBL was a bit nasal and was more midrange-forward. Regarding the bass.. I felt they were about the same as far as low-end extension. IMHO, for clarity and portability, I like the Bose better..
bose has clear instruments but the voice sounds dull which i don't like
We also have consider that the bose is a 360 speaker, while the JBL is facing forward during the test.

Quality of sound vs quantity of sound. Just not going to be able to accurately compare Bose to JBL along a constant price point.

on my bose soundlink revolve yes, you get max volume again. So because the bose home speaker is an improved version of this i think yes

Bose has good sound output but Bose portable speakers are prone to Red flashing light that prevents the speaker from coming on. Be guided when buying Bose portable speakers. Am a victim as my Bose soundlink revolve stopped working after 3 months...
Very unfortunate to hear that. I had the Bose resolve for almost 3 years now and still work greatly. I only noticed connectivity issues but overall, is a great speaker

Hi, got the Bose portable home speaker in January. Like three months ago it just stopped charging for no reason. Doesn't come on and only shows a red light no matter how long I charge
you might have to try hard resetting the speaker or contact bose support if that doesn't work.

I have xtreme and my friend have a bose. Yes the jbl is louder and bassier. But hands down to the good quality of the bose.

SONOS MOVE VS BOSE PORTABLE
Bose and xtreme will defo sound differently. Bose is design to produce 360 degree sound compare to jbl which is only one sided only. Thats why if you would notice jbl sounds louder compare to bose. Soeaking of clarity and treble bose is way better compare to jbl. The only cons would say since jbl’s driver is outside and unprotected it could easily be damage by lot of factors, i used to have charged 3 haven’t dropped it or what then one time the bass sounds cracked and grounded I don’t know why. Compare to bose all protected inside the grill.
OMG I thought the Bose Home speaker sounds good, but against the JBL xTreme 2 it loosing a lot of range sound-effect.
Sound Test 1 and 3 are clear that JBL wins. At Sound Test 2 they are not as far away from the quality.
How about the 360° Range? is there a different if you're listning on a different standing-postion, cause the Bose got his 360°?

I actually thought that the Bose speaker smashed the JBL speaker. There was just way more detail. Bass isn’t everything, and the JBL sounds like it is being played down a tunnel. It also has a much smaller size, and the speakers are way smaller, while maintaining higher volume, better sounding, 360-degree audio IMO.
Listen from 10:45 and focus on the voices. The jbl sound like hes singing in a basket or something. The voice om the bose is alot cleaner + with 360° will be better from every angle arounf the speaker while the jbl will sound sliglty worse from behind the speaker

The JBL sounds too much stereo like and direct amplification however you can hear clearly the Bose 360 performance which is better than JBL here. Also better bass representation in Bose
