Remember when Penguin was the little shy kid who wouldn't even scream? Not any more! She'll even run out to the band for high fives. I think she's in charge of the Percussion this year- at least she's the only senior, and if so, I think the responsibility is bringing her out of her shell. ..Joe

I 'll give it a thumbs up just because its been so long since we've seen the wind club. Yes, while most of us long time admirers of the Orange Devils love the percussion section, its past speaks for itself, this new group is making itself known. I was disappointed that the video did not cover the rest of the group. :-( But really, little "penguin' has certainly lost her 1st year shyness....she now feels right at home. Regardless.....Arigatou for the video.
At 2:37 I miss how Tippi's mallets were flying fast over the xylophone at this part and sounded incredible. Why they stopped doing that... and I guess Tippi really set a special kind of standard for the 'cute gong girl' and for the cute gong girl to pass it down to her juniors :) And thanks to 114th everyone noticed the percussion section! But still, Tachibana is the best :)
Are you right, Bing Bing. This part is very dificult to play without wrong notes and only pople like Tippi was able to perform without problems. In this part for every note that Piguin plays, Tippi played 4 and later in this part Penguin mutes with no note played when Tuppi continued with their descending stair of 'semiquavers'. You only need to wacht the Tippi performances to discover that may be the mallet is their 'main' or 'favorite' instrument. Their delicate way of playing maces demostrates their (sure) 'classical training'. I can't find the link but it's funny to wacht the 'only' (?) time I saw Tippi playing 'rock drum'. I realiced that she played 'ahead of the tempo', as a punk player, giving to the band a touch more wild (more than usually). May be good for one song but not for a full performance. Tomare was the right choice, as beautifull as calmed player.
Antonio GARCIA ROMAN I play no instruments but i watch all videos of Tachibana's performances. Last year's performance played winter games with this particular xylophone part as well, thus the question why this year didn't do that but 2019 classes are fine with that. We are really giving Tippi far too much credits, but she shined way much that she captured all hearts. Komare's calmness sure was the best to lead her team, same goes to the rest of the team. Im glad the current batch of percussionists follow their graduated seniors and have so much fun! Look at how they looked at each other, Tachibana's percussion section is fun to watch :)
@@buzaldrin8086 Thanks for the link! Yes, I know this new musical proyect & I hope they find a good path to continue the spirit that they got in Tachibana. A good jazz band with a kind of coreography reminding the old times will we welcome (of course according the point of view or a fan like me!)...😌 Of course a gift to us to take the opportunity to follow at these talented musicians after the pass from Tachibana.

Do you know that kind of 'miso soup' that eat 'our' girls? I ask this because I detect that in this VERY COLD day, they played as ever, with their wild joy. I bet you that all of them they finished the performance sweating (with only 2 songs!). I also think that they are a 'super charged' players because they perform 'Sing, Sing Sing' as there where no tomorrow. No matter if they played the same song a billion of times, the performance remain plain of energy and joy. By the way, it seems that, apart of 'our orange drummers' was a boy playing the bass brass... 😎 Vamos Tachibanaaaa!!!!

And then nearly burst out laughing 😂 It was interesting to see that she got to the Kettle drums and set to play with only about one and a half seconds to spare before the "An, tu, thri" count was called. (😅)

以前、橘のOGが言ってましたが、奇声を上げると気分が良いとの事です。女子の場合、男子と違いリフレッシュするんでしょうね。実際見てると、思いっきり奇声を上げてます(笑) そして上げた後のノリノリの演奏も見事です。

普通なら中々ペンギン達は映像に映らない事が多いので、パーカスの特集みたいに見れるのは嬉しい。
ステージの演奏などでは、カラーガードやパーカス隊のみの演奏が見れますが、其の他の演奏では管楽器のメンバーが中心になるのか、撮る側も其処にカメラが向けられてしまう。
この学校は吹奏楽の名門なんですか？

私もそう思います、悲しいですね、橘も独自性でやってきたと思います。他行も独自性でやって欲しい。下手でも独自でやってるのは格好いいと思う。
