- How to plumbing and heating. how to replace a leaking or broken Under Floor Heating manifold from start to finish.
Isolating the manifold separately can save a lot of time so in this video I show you how to put isolation valves in then swap out a 3 port UFH manifold for a replacement Snug Underfloor Heating manifold.

I do need to do more of these “How To” videos…. What do you think??
Drop me a message below telling me what you would like to see
That would be great. Always hungry to improve my limited DIY knowledge.. I learned a lot already from your videos.
@@daveoconnor5084 yea, I mean I still wouldn't recommend doing something like this yourself to be honest a lot can go wrong regardless of how easy mark made it look. But that might just be me.
Yes I think it would be very helpful especially with the younger ones coming into the trade 👍👍
@@deano6017 I agree. I only do simple jobs really. But you can still pick up little gems of info when Mark does more complex plumbing.
Plus 1 to that with regards to how to’s aimed at the engineers coming into the industry or apprentices etc, ,assume u wouldn’t be able to do wiring fault finding due to the risk factor , would something like showing different heating system designs, ie, gravity to fully pumped , what a primatic hot water cylinders is etc ,,from how and when to do a combined cold feed and vent, , easy way to find a blocked cold feed on an air sep or H system, what kind of basic tools u need , ,including name of fittings , etc , plus my favourite for newbies was what is the difference between a pipe and a tube, lol , sorry I’m waffling away , all the best , stay safe and well , gary
Wonderful work. Watching from Brazil! Best regards
Wow… Brazil!!!!….. thanks buddy 👍🏼👍🏼
Nice job Mark. Less stress with the help of a good company. Have a good week

Hey mark just wanted to say I’ve watched ever one of your videos took me couple months tho. Absolutely loved every single one of them and has made me want to do my apprenticeship in plumbing here New Zealand and I have just started that as well learnt so much off your videos and hope to get to use some of the tips one day cheers mark keep up the great work
Thanks mate, really Appreciate the support
Hi what a brill layout and you are so skilled nice to see good workmanship
Thanks buddy
Hi mark, yet another fantastic informative video , really do enjoy the diverse subjects that u cover in plumbing and heating , also hope u don’t mind me adding and not trying to embarrass u in any way , but was on the tools as a heating engineer for over 30 x years , along with doing reports / inspections for corgi then later gas safe , watching u work can clearly see how much pride and care u take on each and every job , ensuring that every job is done to an excellent level , ur a credit to the industry my friend , never forget doing a massive house and annex that combined had around 60 x zones with manifolds everywhere , lol, took ages attaching a hose to each loop to fill/ flush it out along with the long process of then balancing / flow rating each zone , thks again and really do enjoy how well u explain each job in detail and keeping it interesting at the same time , stay safe and well
Thanks buddy… really do appreciate your comment Gary….. Thankyou
Hi Mark, a great how to film, I have not done much ufh work, but I’m sure I could swap a manifold.
This film is fantastic for a reference and I am always happy to learn, increasing my knowledge or learn a new technique.
Any “how to” film is fine by me, thanks.
Hope you are enjoying your holiday, rained constantly for the last two days for me here.

Thanks Mark, fantastic video. Sorry if this is a dumb question ( I don’t do underfloor heating), would you always have to change the inserts, nuts and slit olive’s when changing a manifold ?.
It’s good practice to 👍🏼👍🏼
@@MJTiffPlumbing cheers Mark 👍
Nice how to video are you going to do any more how to videos ?

Those pipe cutters look handy , where did you get them
Plumbase I think 👌🏼👌🏼👍🏼
What are your thoughts on the installation and use of Discrete Heat's water based Thermaskirt heating system? Have you installed a system?
Not looked at it so can’t really comment but I struggle to see how it will work to be honest
What should Flow temperature be for UFH on tiled floor and concrete sub floor?
Depends but around 35/40degrees
Hi mark, I see you done a video a year or so ago about the vanolarm alarm systems, just curious if your still using it and if you thought it was any good, Had my van done this weekend so am actively looking for an alarm system but want something that is worth the money. Cheers bud
Yep still using it, it has its faults but as a rule it’s a great deterrent …. Would 100% buy another one
