Not even going to read all the haters' comments but growing up on the Gulf Coast, I find the knocking off of all that rust very relaxing and comforting. I remember one summer my Dad had me do the same to the mower deck on his Cub Cadet and it was so rewarding when I got it cleaned up. Loved this video.
It was great very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very great and to tuff restoration 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Don't think I have ever seen one this bad rebuilt. 99 guys out of 100 would have walked away where they found it. Great work!
Greg Alan Edwards agreed
rebulid air compressor this size cost more then buy new one unit.... Unless got sentimental value attached,
arif khamar You are right. I just liked the fact that he did it. But economically it wouldn’t work
@@GregAlanEdwardsEmmanuelRidge yeah..... Love to see people spend money that laying around home, and time to do this job....
arif khamar speak for yourself
You are totally right.
What
year very clever amazing to bring something back to life like this I'm Nigel from Lincolnshire Holbeach
If they are so much talented on restoring things like that they should work on top industry or factory
Fascinating. Beautiful work. It teaches me patience. I applied it to detailing my van and other tasks that I don’t normally enjoy. Now I enjoy being patient. Thank you for that. You must have genius aptitude for machines and how they work.
I was a bit worried there until the pressure tank went back to continue rusting. It looked like it had been resting in the ocean for a while. Nice job on the restore and rebuild.
Very good for a minute I thought he was going to reuse the rusted out tank that would have been a disaster waiting to happen
Exactly. I went in with an open mind like ok maybe this guy is going to show me something I've never seen before but a good laugh when I saw the switch
I think it's the old tank in fact ...
my first thought, too when I started watching the video
I’ve seen clips were people repair rusty tanks
Talk about crazy
I was thinking the same thing! I've seen many restoration videos, and some guys do amazing things, but for this tank, I was like, oh no, I'm not going anywhere near that!
VERY BEATIFUL LOVE VIDEO THIS VIDEO
Svaka cast za upornost , volju i znanje!
If that’s the original pressure tank I would be concerned about it’s ability to hold pressure safely given the amount of rust.
They changed it at 12:51
In the wise words of AvE, we dont fuck with pressure vessels
Svaka čast na komentaru
Nice work and all but definitely a lot of new parts involved
No kidding. It's like that with automotive too. All of these "car restorations" use mostly new parts.
Rusty tank go BOOM
The comment section just taught me that people always will find something to complain about....it is a restoration channel. We are here to watch this man RESTORING, we dont give a single f about details!!!!!!
Yes exactly
12:51 Best restoration....
jjajajajajajajajajajajja
there's no way to restore that piece of rust
Gont i see ,but why they clean it N vs Vidio it ,😂
24:51 Was the second best
Lol
AE đỉnh ra phết. Khả năng tìm cái sịp hồng phục hồi khéo lại nhiều view :))
Replacement more than a restoration.
Still, what you salvaged was put to good use. Nice work.
I wonder if these guys can restore my wife back to her full glory.
just throw the old away, like the tank, and get a new one.
I appreciate how you didn't try to turn this into a show piece, but instead returned it to a good usable condition.👍
That old tank can be a bomb. The cleaning task at the beginning reminds me of Woody Woodpecker.
Boom!
For all those asking why did he not restore the tank it is very simple, compressors work by building pressure inside the tank, having even partially rusted tank would make it a time bomb just waiting to explode.
At least he did'nt find an Iphone inside
Amazing restoration 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 14:02 some coconut milk + some curry powder: a tasty recipe.
Fantastic machine ☺☺☺👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏
I have never trust a rusted air tank ever
He got a new or used one.
If you have ever seen one explode you wouldn't touch that tank let alone renovate it.
@@davidjohngilbert6295 Ok, but did you watch it? He clearly swapped out the tank for another, was not stated if it was new or from another used compressor.
@@steinbauge4591 when I saw the amount of rust on the tank I went to the finish and saw that tank and realised something was not right and went back and watched again, thought it a bit strange that the replacement tank was identical.
@@davidjohngilbert6295 Old tank was all rust, went to pieces when he touched it. No way he used that.
Super film😁
Ottimo lavoro
After he came out with the "new" tank I started to wonder if that was how he did the whole restoration. Take about one that is a wreck, clean up the pieces a little, then pull out all new stuff! 😂
You just discribed restoration...
He was showing that the original tank was beyond restoration.
Saludos!
Very beautiful love video...this video
Loved watching this. Thanks, guys
after the great success of my mechanics we have a new champ with the motto "I'll buy a new one "
I'm making fun of you, dont like my comment.
Ah! As I thought: motor restoration, tank replacement. For it to be a full restoration, you need to keep the original tank! Nicely done! Looks good to go!!
David Hall : you NEVER mess with a compromised pressure tank. That would be a deathwish. He did the right thing by replacing it
BBOOOOOOMMMM
Lmao give him a break
Very well done

Well I thought that was an absolutely fantastic restoration. He saved what he could and replaced what was Unsalvageable. Obviously the main tank was all ways going to be replaced but it was fun watching how much rust had built up. Personally I thought the bit when he shoved the two wires in the live plug socket was hilarious. WELL DONE I THROUGHLY ENJOYED WATCHING THIS.

I end up watching at 12:57 when he replace the tank with a new one, nothing is impossible 🤙
Oh come on, how had he should do that? I think it was fine how he made it. This Tank has to hold much Air Pressure, when it explodes its really Dangerous. You should not restore in such bad Conditions😐
@@trabantfahrer6016 Yup, repairing a tank like that would have been the equivalent of building a bomb.
Tu lo restauras muy bien
brilliant work
This one's so satisfying. I'm a fan of air compressors because I'm a geek and also a DIYer/hoping to be a future mechanic. Funny this was on my feed today because my gaskets for my compressor are supposed to get delivered today.
Stay away from automotive theres no money in it. Go the diesel mechanic route. You won't regret it trust me.
@@notavailable7379 i totally agree 100%
Im a lv panel beater and there is no money in it
@@danielreilly1302 thats why i chose diesel yet it still isnt that great. We need to get out there and make our own money. Im about to start saving for my first rental property. To hell with being a slave.
“Nothing is impossible”
Replaced tank because restoration impossible
hahaha just like that, wtf just buy a new 1
Better solution? For a tank designed for X pressure with Z thickness but having now a thickness up to 10% of Z? Between other things...
@@DiGiovanni1111 This is a safety concern. The last thing you want is for one of these things to explode with 110PSI in it. Replacing it was smart.

Safety first my guy
Very nice ur vdio sir tnk u for sharing me
You have very high skills in repair and recovery..I am impressed with your skill in a job..congratulations again
The guy did a great job. Why all the negative comments?
Why you ask? How dangerous is a pressure vessel accident?
Those comments usually come from the keyboard experts, the ones that don't read or pay attention to what is being show.
Air compressors rust from the inside out , , is a exploding tank bad ... 🤔
Slimy, yet satisfying

Usa otro tanque etc

I really like the part where he knocked the rust off. It was hella satisfying
he played it like a drum
It's not because this is a air compressor and every piece of rust coming off is loosening the structural rigidity of the steel.

That is, at least, a legitimately left-outside rusty piece of junk, unlike some of these kind of channels where they intentionally bury or muddy up something first
There are hundreds of brand new axes and knives soaking in buckets with saltwater right now, waiting to be restored, that are offended by your comment ;)
