don't stress about your panning, practice makes perfect.
A few little tips for ya that might help are :
1 if that's a new pan grab some 60 / 80 Grit sand paper and ruff up the bottom a little bit. it will stop the heavy's from sliding around.
    2. don't be afraid to wash out the larger gravel and sand, any gold should be at the bottom of your pan and if you use the riffles on the pan you can't go wrong.
    3. Practice. Keep some of your tailing's like black sand fine gravel and lead shot's , use this to practice at home and you will find out fast just how aggressive you can get with that style of pan.
well good luck with your prospecting and may you find lot's of Yellow .

I am new to this and using lead is great advise. That's what I've been practicing with and its a great way to test yourself to get an idea what you're doing. Found heaps of bullet slugs and old shot pellets with the detector so have been using those after I hammered the flat and cut them up into different sizes.

Hi buddy, try to keep the pan full of water when you tip it back to shake it (stratifying) and maybe tap the bottom on a rock to settle the heavies quickly, and as someone else said, practice. I would suggest that you catch what you are panning out in another container and do it again slower. If you don’t find any gold in that pan, then you are doing it right. A lead shot (panning partner) chucked into each pan can also help, if it’s still in the pan at the end, you have your panning spot on. Good luck and enjoy

If you haven't seen already , Look up PVC Ram pump . Easy to build and you can make them in different sizes , No electricity , No gas and No bucketing water . Great for river sluice but may not work for all rivers . You could do a video on parts list and build.

Hydrolic ram pumps use flowing water to pressurize a air/ water chamber with check valves so pulling numbers out of air 4 gallons of speeding water falling a foot pumps one gallon of water up 3 feet. Is the binyap pump a paddlewheel with loops of hose on it that dips up half a cercomfrsce of water with each rotation and as it spiral inwards can pump the water susprizing heights

So basically you're swapping all the riffles and low and high pressure points of various gold catching devices for two riffles at the very end and hoping that gravity will separate the gold by the time it travels two feet of tubing whilst our forefathers thought 40 foot long tom races were insufficient (and were proven right by how much gold is in their tailings)? I am not sold on this design. I run a homemade system myself, it's a 10 inch PVC trommel dropping at two points, one to a boil box and 10 foot of sluice for fines and one to a 6 footer. I'm looking to increase that length for a longer shallower run to catch the flour gold that I'm dropping. I mean sure you'll recover gold with this but you will with a cut in half water bottle too.

@@dualadumbration1309 Those 'gold croc' or other branded Chinese mass produced 'fluid bed's are just a boiler box. That's the first element of a proper gold recovery system, not the only element. I wince every time I see people using them, you're losing SO much gold. A boiler box is something you have after your feeder or trommel and before your sluices and mats, etc. It's absolutely not enough to be worth running on it's jack as you'll be blowing so much gold out.

Ya rub some sand in for a while cleans it also really take your time a more water enough to cover give your swirl some air time Tap the front of green times and then now wait for it lift and pull back use that air time on your pull back tip it back recenter wash and repeat till you have about 2 table spoons put in a big peanut butter jar

I would say, don’t stratify with
the pan in the water. That is
causing a lot of splashing and
    shifting of water. Stratify above
the water with some water in
the pan and then lower the
    pan into the water.

    • @anagramconfirmed1717
      @anagramconfirmed1717 2 роки тому

Anne Dunn thanks Anne, I never made it with the intention of making more, but if there was or is a market for them I would be happy to make more, the only thing is, would people pay around $200 for it? I made it with stuff I had hoarded over the years from building site bins. To buy all materials needed to make this thing would cost around $40-$50 and then my time to put it together, because as much as I like to help people out, that unfortunately doesn’t pay the bills, but if anyone were to really want one I would be happy to meet with them and show how to put it all together

I neglect to mention in the video that I’m also there for the coins and relics, that’s why I classify the material. The creek is at the end of the main storm water system of the town I live in, it’s rich in relics

The hole I chose on the day just wasn’t a good one, although what I don’t mention on the video is that the pan is actually full of lead, so the hole I chose was full of heavies, just not the right ones.
