The main issue with trading is the ascending priority, whoever trades your LAST is the one who gets priority. So people who are quick to trade are punished because their trades get overwritten by people who are requesting to trade after you. Also annoying for the seller because they just get spammed with requests to the point where they can't even accept a trade because the pop ups keep opening and closing. They need to make it so only one person can trade, and after that you get a message "this person already had a pending trade request" and it can show how many others request to trade so you know if your item is being sold for too cheap. Also you can get a real idea of how many people want the item, instead of just seeing the same two people spamming trade on you over and over.
Incredible game. Hasn't been a game that has captured my attention or got me hooked this quickly in many years. Paid early access needs to happen soon. Ill gladly pay the price of a triple A game for this game in its current state if I can play it now. So much potential for cross platform play, guilds, quests, more maps, weapons, monsters, raids. 10/10
One of the things that caught my attention to this game, apart from the whole hardcore PvPvE Tolkien-like fantasy idea, was the trade system and i have exact same opinion as the guy in 2:47. When i saw that thing on some youtube video I was like, finally some oldschool style game with whole that nostalgic atmosphere and something more demanding and i just felt in love with this game xD
i can see why you want the trade system to stay. but we need some efficiency. eventually i would like to see an auction house. lets be honest, we arent 12-13 anymore and time matters. its taking people lots of time in trade chat the way it is. excited regardless for the release.
I would like to see player shops like in Maplestory or something. Get a stash tab with items for sale, put items in the stash and attach a price tag, then create a description for a marketboard page separate from the trade auction house. Create an API for the player shops and have a third party website set up like PoE where you can search items by what rolls they have, get the name of the player shop, go in-game and buy the item from their shop.
I'd rather the trade system stay as is with a few QoL improvements such as sorting by quality etc. An auction house would be flooded with trade bots like Diablo was on release and would ruin the game imo. Making it easy to obtain items doesn't necessarily mean the game will be better either.

It's a win win, they can use the new funds to manage the game while the developers prepare it seasonal sales, marketing, and for consoles, etc. The game markets itself.

I hope they address the buffing meta. I definitely think applying buffs is half as effective as they would be on yourself. A cleric can benefit from that entire 10+ weapon damage from divine strike but putting it on a barbarian becomes a bit much. Lowering it to say 5+ weapon damage when applied to others would be ideal. Same idea for everything else. Another example could be haste. When applied to others, it could be half the duration. Although I do think invisibility should not be applied to other players and it should be countered by the wizards light orb skill just like it does with rouge's hide ability. You can see how the team game currently revolves around clerics. They even show it when they state that they are all used to playing with cleric and admit its rough to play without one.

For instance so you can set rings that have knowledge on them and + phys. Nothing else. That would keep the same trade system but make it more filtered. So people can trade for what they are looking for specifically.
i hope they allow for a more varied kit (perk/skill wise) on fighter, even kinda hope they steer away from the "jack of all trades" approach and allow a bit more specialized gameplay im attracted to the class for the "martial artist" playstyle: varied weapon selection and the melee blocking/riposting playstyle of the shields/spears and longsword and access to pavise, i think the class has a LOT of potential but right now half the perks/skills make me think "what the hell why would you ever take that", but then you look at rogue or barb perk line and its mostly cool things that can synergize with each other.
I think they should go instead for a New class instead called the Swordman or something like that, being the specialized melee fighter without any ranged weapon except maybe throwing knives.
I think a lot of people also forget they haven’t even implemented the level up skill tree system. It seems pretty core to the game and I’m sure it will change things quite a bit.

trade chat is horrible, even if u get nostalgia out of it. the time you have to spend in trade chat if you wanna gear your char is way to much. dont get me wrong i dont hate the trade system at all but we need some better filter options, like filter for stats or something else but the way it is right now is just a waste of time. imo. no hate edit: i was all hyped up aswell when i saw the trade chat for the first time but after playing in PT4 for 2 days i was like: ok this i not the way to go.

@@MezPT We have many anti cheat tactics to prevent effective cheating. While we won't be able to stop every cheater, there are ways to mitigate the damage cheaters can do. Thankfully our game naturally makes cheating a little bit difficult, that is why the most popular cheat the last playtest was disconnecting users, instead of actually killing users with hacks.

well the only problem with that is hackers make game companies the most money, take ubisoft for example, they ban in massive waves so hackers can still make the game company tons of money while also pretending to ban them.

That caltrops skill was doing some form of stun, but it's honestly so bad compared to the other q/e skills. Or maybe it's just that rupture/weakpoint/hide are so integral to rogue that it's hard to drop them.
My only change suggestion, let us use our Steam names as our character names, or give us in game IDs and allow us to name our characters anything we want. don't pull that WoW Bullshit where only one person in the entire world can be named "Matt"
It actually also means it is not public information yet. We try many ideas in internal testing and then realize it sounds great on paper, but is not good at all when it comes to actual gameplay. We don't want to say something is coming and then it gets cancelled which is why it is best for us to say "we don't know" until it is officially confirmed. Some people completely forget this entire project is barely even a year old, we have huge plans but it just so happens that the game caught a ton of traction very early on. It is awesome people are loving the current state, but that doesn't mean we are going to drop our plans of making what we believe will be a much better game than the current version.

I think being able to sort by rolls may help, if not then yeah an AH would be best

That's what makes being a cleric rewarding tho. And you need to know how to manage your heals and buffs.
