I really appreciate this tutorial quite a bit, because it shows how to fix “mistakes”. It shows challenging issues with this technique, and not that she can do it perfectly the first time. This is what people doing the camo technique for the first time needs to watch. This will prepare me for what to expect and how to fix it. Thank you for sharing!
Sherry 7 I actually made all the colors for this cake except the black. I buy Wilton’s fondant and you can find it at Walmart or Michaels. They have the other colors available as well
This is so helpful and I appreciate you so much for showing us what we can do in case things don't go well!! You're really good at what u do I admire u ♡♡♡♡
I appreciate this very much. My twin cousins birthdays are literally tomorrow and I’m making a four layered camouflage cake for them as their being shipped off for military training after graduation this year.
I didnt add anything to them, for some reason the fondant was very stiff but its best to kneed it until it gets smooth so it can stick to the other pieces when making the camouflage pattern
Good evening, I absolutely love your videos :) How long should I chill the cake before I cover it with fondant ? And should I chill the cake in the fridge ?
ChefBrianna Renee Thank you so much for watching!! I recommend chilling the cake in the freezer until the icing is firm to the touch. This should take about 20 mins. That way when you cover with fondant you dont have to worry about any mishaps with the icing underneath Once it’s covered in fondant the cake can go in the refrigerator as you decorate. Hope this helps!!

Hai there I have a question, what to add to fondant before making the balls?
I didnt add anything to them, for some reason the fondant was very stiff but its best to kneed it until it gets smooth so it can stick to the other pieces when making the camouflage pattern

You’re welcome 😊
I enjoyed the video. Thank you please after freezing the cake before putting the foundant how do I prevent condensation
I apply fondant while frozen then once applied it goes in the refrigerator overnight to “thaw” and a majority of the condensation subsides
@@CakeQueenTanya ok . Thank you . Can I still apply the method to 14 inch sqaure cake
Yes
gonna try this technique for my son coming bday..

That was exactly what I needed ! Thank you so much :) I really appreciate the response
Can I ask what colours you used? X
Brown, black, bright green, dark green
Lovely
Can you also mention the colours used and their name and company
I used Wilton fondant for this cake which was Pre-colored. To make the light green I just added some white fondant to the dark green.
Did you dye the fondant or purchase It with that color already? If so can you please leave the purchasing details in the comment .. thank you
All colors were pre-made - this is Wilton’s colored Fondant
@@CakeQueenTanya this is a wonderful tutorial. Thanks!!!
