It’s not a rat rod , it’s a survivor ❗️🇺🇸 It also needs a tune up, oil change and fix the idle, either you left the choke pulled out or you have a bad vacuum leak but less than 200 bucks will make this car right. Oh , if you keep it change the clutch too, have fun❗️🇺🇸
Hello, I'm just curious how much are you selling it for? I've got one I think it's the same kinda car an I'm having lots of trouble keeping it running. I've did so much to it an I can't still figure out what is causing it not to stay running. I've got a new voltage regulator an new rebuilt generator new carburetor new radiator new spark plugs new spark plug wires an when I let it run it goes dead an I have to charge my battery up again. After so many charges the battery is finally toast. I just can't figure it out are even know where to look for the problem. So if you know the answer I sure would highly thank you for it. Again what is your price for your old car? Thanks so much for your time reading my message. Sincerely Billy
Hi" Bill What I would do to test the reason why the battery does not retain a charge, I would start the car and while the car is running disconnect the positive cable of the battery to see if it will run off of the electrical system, then take a volt ohmmeter if the engine continues to run and test the voltage returning to the battery, if the voltage is not present during the time the car is retained running then there's a problem with the voltage regulator delivering the current back to the battery, hope this is helpful. 😀
Hey Bill, you have a short somewhere if your battery is losing charge that quick. Either you or a pro need to check the electrical system and find out where the short is and when you do I think you’ll find the car will run a lot better. It’s an old car and the systems aren’t that hard to diagnose so jump in and I’ll bet it will be something simple. Good luck.
Once again, you are dead wrong, ! It’s a 235! If it’s a stick it has the dipper system. Powerglide have full pressure. 1952 was the last year for the 216. You are making a fool out of yourself!
Theres enough room in that engine bay to put a modern V8 engine with all the ECU eye candy *-* 347 hp in that car would be marvellous, also fuel economy would be better then what this is getting i bet
I had a red one just like this.....sold it to a guy who drove it from Washington State to New Jersey with no problems!! Wow!!
Planning to post a video on a 53 HTop today hopefully. Needs a lot more than yours seems too! Thanks for the Video!
Thanks for showing us your cool old car! 😀
