I work close to the factory in Windsor, these cars look great in person. Hopefully - there is a v8 model in the works, because the 6 may be a deal breaker for me and many others
Ask the designers what the hell is wrong with them? That's yet another butt ugly Charger. All they had to do is take the Challenger platform and do what some shops did and create body panels that give tribute to the 69 Charger, a really beautiful car.
Has everything to do with Trump's plan, believe me. I'm an engineer for Toyota Engineering, and literally the day after the election, the Japanese and American bigwigs we're meeting to discuss the future plan. It's really about regulation. Once it's removed, that ICE mix goes way up and the BEV goes to the backburner for production. We are still constructiing our EV lines, although the drop dead dates have all moved back at Toyota until '27-'28. I'm sure Stellantis is doing similar changes as well.
I want the electric if it ever comes out. I have a gen 1 hemi with zoomies. I have a 440 in another toy. I have a newer challenger. I'm old I want quiet and fast.😊 Everything has issues during testing.thats why they do it.
Or a guy could just buy a Mustang Dark Horse or loaded GT for less money. After the BS Dodge pulled these last few years, I have no attachment to the brand anymore.
That'll never happen unfortunately, the car's already wider than the Challenger and has 325s standard. Although I think the 'coke bottle' styling will translate better in real life just judging by some angles people got pictures of vs the actual promotional footage
The inline six version basically makes it a BMW. Even with a V8 option, if they can make the Six Pack engine reliable it’s gonna be amazing. Basically they’re making an American 5 series
According to the latest counts, an estimated 346,3091 EVs were sold in Q3 2024, a 5% increase from Q2. The EV share of sales in Q3 hit 8.9%, the highest level recorded and an increase from 7.8% in Q3 2023. You might want to check your sources
Almost unsellable. But they'll move more of those than the ridiculous EV's. Of course, the day after Trump won, literally, Stellantis was looking for a way to put a Hemi in these things.
Right On Brother !! When all my gas stations in my neighborhood turn to electric, I'll be the 1st one in the dealership to buy a Daytona. Until then, give me a fully loaded T/A 392,and that t F is that !!! I.C.E. or Nada !!!
That SST motor is a no go for me, they're having a lot of problems, overheating, blown head gasket and the one I drove for 2 weeks showed 21 psi of oil pressure at 70 mph. Also, not a fan of turbos, don't like the lag and they will fail with a price of $8-10k to repair. give me cubic inches and natural aspiration.
What they need to do is rebrand this as the hornet and or make this a Dodge Stealth. Then bring back Dodge Challenger and charger in classic formations like the ram 1500 classic with magnum or more efficient hemi's
Customers are already talking about how eagerly they are looking forward to NOT buying these things. A 6cyl is for entry-level cars. A V8 goes in the performance cars. The idea they believed they would be able to move these turbo-turds is endlessly amusing.
Entry level cars? The bmw G80 M3,m2,M4? The caddy ct4 V? The lotus emira?? Nissan gtr? Ford gt??? Even Ferraris new hypercar is using a V6,6s aren't for just entry level cars, they can be used for any application and still be considered a performance car.
@@carboydorifutoparty3976 Cope harder. The BMW and Caddy are utter trash cars. The Nissan is a jukebox on wheels, essentially removing driver participation. V8's and V12's go in serious cars. 6-poppers go in lesser cars. Only those of you can't afford better make excuses.
@@scottysgarage4393 that's pretty dumb when literally some of those cars I listed are faster and just as engaging as V8s. Basing drivers participation based on how many cylinders it has is the dumbest thing to say when many, many forums of motorsports run 6 cylinders or at best, the some that are dominated by 4 bangers. Does this same logic apply to wrc? F1? Or even with the fact that ford's literally ran the gt with its TTV6 for almost 6-8 years now being used in their gt race car not considered a serious car? Actually, how bout porsche, porsche literally being one of the most track focused brands has not only ford, but chevy building cars like the GTD and the new ZR1 C8 to beat porsches gt3 when that car alone has a na 6 cylinder like the rest of their sportscars and is killing American built cars with V8s on the track with s/c's and turbos with way more power than the porsches 6 just to go against it and even destroyed dodges V10 viper also. Your logic lost sense the moment u said that when there's multiple fields with cars winning with these engines showing otherwise. Even some of the most sought after cars in the tuner world have 6s or 4s so having 8-12 cylinders is completely irrelevant and comes down to people's opinion and depends on the car/brand anyway. Again, 6 cylinders are not and will never be just for "entry level" cars, cause at best, your V8s and V12s would be a laughing stock if that were the case when we have cars like porsches and bmws and a long list of other competitive 6 cylinder-4 cylinder cars/engines exist.

That lower air dam is ugly. The area of the lower air dam should not be larger than the light structure above. It looks bulky and stupid. EVs look much better.
For all you guys who want a V8, why not buy the 2023 cars? Also, I think that EV will sell despite what the comments say. Why? I think they will sell to a different market!
Everyone gets to have an opinion, even when you are wrong. The EV market is dead, at least for 5 years or so. That wheel design looks like the original Chrysler emblem, wasn’t it a star?
