Interesting vid. So, I have I guess been brow-beaten in maybe the wrong direction with the "flashing". I was under the understanding that flashing will kill the use of the Appleplay plug, WHIM bs, etc. Also, doesn't this void the Harley warranty? I was looking at this system and then boom, you post it. I am probably going to go this route with my RGS. My wife's RG3 will probably get this as well when she wants. She's still focused on the sound of her bike rather than the sound from the stereo. Maybe I will convince her down the road on this upgrade as well. Thanks again for being one step ahead on the planning of my wife's ordered RG3 or should I say thanks for being the guinea pig on these upgrades. Oh BTW, we must be from the same litter. I have the exact same floor covering in my garage. My brotha . ROFL Stay safe!! 🙃
Flashing the system is done at the dealership. It doesn’t void any warranty. They have a flash specifically for Wild Boar Audio in their system. Can’t go wrong with it!! Order 2 and getter done!!!
@@donniewieburg Oh wow, very cool. See ya learn something new everyday. I will do for the RGS, but she's very picky about what goes on her bike. However, she usually says that she doesn't need it, then I get it and boom...now she wants it as well. The story of my life and the adventures of my wife's motorcycle evolution. ROFL

Nice job on the install side. You may want to research the difference between neo magents and ferrite magnets though before you go talking trash on the factory units. They may not sound as good or be as loud as what you bought but it was more so due to weight. Neo is stroner than ferrite per ounce
I kinda agree...those stock speakers are super crap Ola, neo magnets are the way to go on these bikes to reduce weight. They cost a little more but are just as good as big ol clunky magnets.
Donnie, I added Polk speakers to replace the stock and it's louder but my bass sounds horrible. Do I need to flash the radio to make it better?
Yes you need to flash the system. Are you running an amp? If so, which one?

@@coachsamlouie oh yeah you do. If you upgrade speakers to the point of them being superior to the output, you need an amp. Make sure your amp and speakers have the same ohm output. And get the system flashed.

@@donniewieburg Hi Donnie I had another question since the trike world is new to me. What air pressure are you running in the front and rear as I’ve heard different things with some people running 22 etc. in the rear anyway thank you.

Have this kit myself on my road glide. Probably the worst $1k I’ve spent on this bike so far. This is rebranded Chinese junk, and after a year of having my soundstream Reserve on 45/50 volume setting just to even hear anything close to loud, I’m taking it out and buying a quality setup. The amp is junk. Throw it on a dyno and watch the fall off and inefficiency. Speakers in this kit are simply a cheap mid-range speaker with no component for the higher frequencies. 4 ohm so it will never be as loud as 2ohm speakers. Wish I had learned more about audio and specs before dropping the money on this kit.
The soundstream radio probably the best unit for your bike. A good quality amp and speakers finish up the system. I looked at wild boar and decided on a different setup. I've read that longevity and quality were sub par.
Btw, 4ohm vs 2ohm...in my opinion 2ohm will be a little louder but 4ohm will sound better. It's important to match amp with speaker along with wattage.
