Today we are riding the NEW RG3 (Road Glide 3) to see my thoughts on this 3 wheeled motorcycle. I don't typically ride trike but with this one being so rare we had to test her out.

You lean into the turn a bit because the physical force wants to move you in the opposite direction. We have a 23 Freewheeler and love it. The RG3 is actually a Freewheeler with a fairing, and the RG tank. Very nice trike, and lots of fun, specially if you have physical problems and even age. In my 70’s and we still want to get out and go.

I love my new RG3!!! Just turned 101 miles. Breaking him in. I rode a sportster and so did my husband George. He’s riding in heaven now thanks to COVID. I have TBI from 2 accidents not my fault and yes I wear a helmet. So I became a passenger in 2016. He died 2021 had to rehome our bikes. We always made fun of trikes but I went to Harley ride a TriGlide in parking lot salesman knew my story showed me pics of this I ordered and got George for my birthday

it does look good. i prefer the FXRT fairing but i could ride this just to save time and money instead of doing a custom one. i like the trunk too except cant put a top box on it the way it opens. would have to get the triglide but it doesnt have the sharknose. later on i bet they release a sharknose front with the triglide rear. good vid

I believe the reason some people scoff at trikes is because they haven't ridden them. It's still riding a motorcycle and except for being able to go fast in the twisties, you get all the same experience. I have a 2018 Tri Glide and it's the ultimate in cruising/touring comfort, especially with a passenger. For my purposes, the additional storage of the Tri Glide is a significant factor but I actually prefer the look of the Freewheeler. I still haven't made up my mind whether I like the RG3 look better than the FW.

I looked at one at Blackwolf Harley. I have a 2020 Triglide and it has me spoiled. I do not care for the trunk on the rg3 and the way it opens. No way to put a tour pack on for really long-distance riding. No lowers either that is kinda of a killer for me. I ride 10 months out of the year and those lowers and my highway pegs are a must. if they would have put the tri glide rear on the rg3 I would be all over it.
I'm with you on the storage. I like the overall sleek look of the FW and the RG3 better than the Tri Glide but the TG is more practical for what I do which is basically touring. Like you, I want my highway pegs and TBH it's nice to have more protection if it rains or I run through puddles. You can't have everything, I guess.
I think they might one day. Someone should customize one like that
The Road Glide fairing has always been the Ugly duckling with 2 bug eyed headlights!. On a trike even worse, looks top heavy and stupid.
