- Hey everyone back with more Scrap Mechanic Survival! Today Kosmo and I decided to head back into a warehouse to loot it for more soil and supplies but ended up finding a secret tunnel! We decided to explore this tunnel to see if anything exciting lies deep within the walls of the warehouse!

Last time I went into the warehouse with dev commands I took apart one of those cranes. There are two motors in the main beam (one for each direction) and if you put batteries in there the crane actually moves. I mean it's not that useful but still kinda cool
Interesting so we'd have to blow up the crane very precisely to get at the motors

they killed them the first time and then the tile was still loaded so it didnt spawn more i think
The crane only moves horizontally. The engines are hidden in the cranes.
Edit: there are TWO encryptors in each warehouse. The one in the loot room is for seeing the connections and the other one in the room with the orange sign is for taking warehouses apart.

Sad, isn't it? This game is so much fun and has so much potential but between the SLOW updates and simple QOL improvements such as this; it leaves ample to be desired.
Still love the game. Just wish they'd give it the tlc it deserves.

based on designs of warehouse. you supposed to reach to treasure room, turn off warehouse protection (this haven't implement yet), then resume explore back, find hidden loots behind cracked wall, and grab stuffs that couldn't be pick up before. the trash rooftop boss (haven't implement yet too) is optional.
I wonder how they'll really make that work. Seems like if you can take blocks from warehouses, that'd make grinding for stone and metal pointless.
First: The component kits in the wall caves are marked as story placeholders
Second: There's ascript to put batteries into the engines in cranes but it's unenabled
Third: Tere are two encryptos, actually one that you found and anoter at the treasure room behind orange-lit wall. The one you found is to unenable ability to grab/place blocks and sceond for blocking the connections

Hey kAN, the cranes in the warehouse are functional. When survival first came out I entered one in dev mode. There is an electric motor inside each nacelle of the crane sides, and the reason they don't do anything besides light up, is all the movable creations in the warehouse spawn with their motors on the lowest power. using dev mode to open them up and turn up the power they all move and function, including the one that takes you across the gap to the loot room.

When I saw they knocked it off the wall I was hoping they would do that.

You know Kan, if you hate Tapebots, there's a way you can get through the warehouses without having to deal with them (mostly).
Scrapman discovered ages ago that if there's blocks between you and the bots AND you're not in a seat that they won't agro you. So you can make a seatless mini-tank and just roll right past them, although making a tank that's big enough for both of you, but small enough to fit through the doors would be fairly challenging.
kan mentioned in an earlier episode that you can just run though with a cube that you hit with a hammer

The problem is I think is hard to get everyone online at the same time oftenly. But still would be cool.

You can dislodge most things in warehouse with explosives (tho some stuff already is disconnected like the woc crates) and then if you get them into the elevator and back outside you can pick it up.
Possible 'spoilers' (small stuff) related to those cracked concrete spots below:
- Ground floor mostly has these sort of "cave like" back area's
- Floors between ground floor and final floor mostly have more detailed back areas (clean walls, sometimes with with lights and stairs and signage and stuff)
- Final floor always (?) has the detailed back area's, but also always has a bunch of shortcuts that u can open by blowing up cracked concrete (skip from downstairs the big loot room directly to elevator, etc)
All of the back area's have small amounts of loot like those component kits, but often also a few of the green loot-chests, i was told final floor can have gold loot-chests but never seen that myself. Theres also a bunch of stuff hidden in ceilings aswell.
I brought 3 full chests of explosives to a warehouse with my kids, and we blew up the majority of the warehouse walls, floors etc. Yes, each level is a separate "box" with an indestructible floor, walls and ceiling. Those vents you crawl in on the "loot" floor, actually has huge space around them. With sign on etc. So try and blow a hole around the vent's and go in :)
If you want to have a lot of fun, play around the the explosive bots. They can destroy so much of the warehouse and eventually blow themselves up. If one of you hang back a bit for revival, the other person can jump around in front of the bot and let it shoot left and right. We had a hilarious run doing this. One of the bots blew major holes in the warehouse floor. And the explosions don't hurt as much as you might think unless they hit you in the face.

There is stuff in the file cabinets now. Mostly it is junk... paper stacks, mugs, toilet paper, but there is also glow sticks, paint, spuds... The blue cabinets by the stairs into the office have lots of stuff and are well worth checking.
Just do poles with spaces if 4 blocks in between and 4 tall. It works for me and I saved so much material.
The trick to fighting tape bots is strafing and counter-strafing to dodge their shots. Once you get good with it, it is really easy to fight them.

in my opinion, having a bot that makes lots of damage is a good thing, it makes exploring the warehouses a real challenge

Using the /decrypt command I discovered that not only are there indeed motors but they’re also wired to the buttons. They are buried in the main crossbeam, and in fact I’m fairly certain they’re creative motors, meaning they don’t need batteries. I remember that in my attempts to make it work I discovered that it’s wired incorrectly, which causes the buttons to do nothing. If it worked, it’d actually be rideable.
There’s one in the final storage room of every warehouse for a reason!
idea- make a mobile base with a craft bot chests and a refinery and maybe a cook bot
pick the encripter up on your lift and take it out of the warehouse

I think player collision is a sphere or capsule. That's why you can't stand on other people to help each other. Sphere/capsule collision is good for climbing stairs though, so it's a necessary tradeoff for this kind of game.

That secret tunnel is like finding an easter egg in Among Us.
Make a tank that shoots explosives. With a spud turret on top and in the front of the armor. Pls make it look like the M48A3 PATTON cause they are really cool looking.
the motor in the cranes is inside of it. you have to blow a hole in it to access the motors

I usually don't leave stuff on the roof. If you later want something you left there you have to fly up. I usually make a big ball and drop it off the roof then weld it to the floor. When you want something, it's right there.
Nope, you can do it with 2 toilets😉( or any seat).......ive raided warehouse tops without even going in or having a flyer

I have seen things spawn in the filing cabinets, although very rarely.
the cranes in warehouses just move back and four. You need to disable encryptors in-game files to make them work. Then just put batteries in engines and pres button and that work.
You can both take a storage vehicle rather its full of chest to drop loot into or a flatbed like the one in this video and clear out the bottom of the warehouse from all the bots, bring your vehicles to the edge of the roof. Clear out the wearhouse as u make ur way up, go to roof and throw all of the loot off the roof to clear inventory. Take all the blocks from the roof like the shed like tints that look like a shed for a car. Take all the pipe pcs that are the post for them, or remove the bottom pcs that connect it to roof and weld them all together (I think there's 3 or 4 sheds) and throw them off the roof to the vehicle, Take ramps and throw them over the edge of roof and ESP grab the satellite type pcs on the roof and throw every thing to the ground level by vehicles.
It would be cool if u could steal the encrypting device and wire it to your own base, making it where it's not destroyable since that's what it does to the warehouse. Cut wires to work normally and hook wires up when there is a raid to keep ur base secure

Its not coded to actually disable encryption, to do it only way is dev mode
You can reach a engine in that tethered area, you just need /decrypt and some other things
Idea take the encryptor out of ware house and see if you can pic it up. If so you might get to destroy warehouse without explosives
Encryptors are just decorative currently
if you take the encryption block out of the warehouse ( hit it with a hammer to the roof then off the roof , then you can pickup most things in the warehouse unless they changed it. If you take the block home its supposed to do something and it also cant be destroyed by you or bots .

It doesn't do anything
There are 2 encryptors in the warehouse. One blue and one orange. One in each room blow up both and you can then take things from the warehouse

Make a very steady flyer with a gyroscope and turret system and very steady hover then you can fly above bosses and shoot a ton of spuds
The warehouse ramps used to be indestructible, not sure if they changed it
They were never indestructible. They changed the hay and totebot behavier to attack 7 and above durability parts. Farmbots were always able to destroy them.
I think the small explosives are better for the tunnel since it's a smaller explosion
I want to see everything get uncovered once the update allows people to pick up stuff
there's a dev command to disable the encryptors already. change one value in a line of code and gain full dev access with cheats and stuff

On rooftop, from those metal blocks i made big slap side of roof edge. Where i put all those ramp and other peaces and dropped down at once. Me with in seat too (if happened have one). :)

Personally I agree with kan on the damage outputs, they are Stupidly overpowered. If you die while soloing a warehouse you might as well Quito’s aren’t getting your stuff back. It also doesn’t help that you don’t keep potato ammo on death.
There is a thing in the loot room too
kan, their are 2 encryptor blocks, one for hiding wires, the other for unbreakable status. the other is behind the flat wall in the other of those 2 rooms. (opposite of the loot chests)
they used to actually "work" but i think the devs patched it so that removing them doesn't do anything now. (i tore them out early when survival was first released, but havent checked back since then)

What scrap man would do is build the ramps together and then just knock it off the roof to later be put in chests to save having to carry all the ramp pieces down
hopefully the cranes work in the warehouse overhaul
I've never used a dev command. The only things I have successfully exploded free in a warehouse are the encryptors, fan blades, and hubs. You can hammer the dead cow crates out the elevator as well. Everything else I have ever tried to explode free has been destroyed in the attempt.

if you destroy the wall il the loot room (its the mirror to the encryptor), you will find the protector which prevent to destroy but it also doesn't work

They should make it so you can block tape bot shots with right click with hammer
The wall where the two pillars don’t touch the floor at 30:00 might have something be hide it if you blow it up
Kan should build a vehicle small enough to fit in the elevator and with a bunch of chest, that way he wouldn't have to go all the way out to the truck every time he gets a full inventory
until it gets blown up .....
