So Joker's whole plan was to make batman basically forgive Chill so that the thing that pisses him off the most is Joker? Man thats extra
Well...joker is a yandere afterall sooo he wants to be *the only one*
Cool
@@DISGUYR8HERE He's a reverse yandere
@@sonicman9910 whats..whats the defenition of that?
Joker wants bats to be his only arch-enemy thats why yandere
@@DISGUYR8HERE If we're taking Yandere at its origins, it's someone violently jealous towards their romantic partner. If we take that definition, then it's arguable that Joker is a reverse yandere because he's violently jealous towards his enemy.
With all the craziness going on in DC, a quiet story where neither the world, nor the multiverse, nor even Gotham City is in peril is refreshing. Just three members of the Bat Family, three clowns, and a story about forgiveness and moving on. That moment Batman forgave Joe Chill and held his hand? May go down in Bat history like holding Jason’s body, the bat through the window, Bane breaking the Bat, etc.
Or not, because this story went over like a lead balloon.
@Mach What does that have to do with this?
That’s def one of the things that’s been rly annoying me is when every DC comics storyline revolves around some major “end of the world” type stuff. Like it needs to be balanced with more grounded storylines
maybe this story can enlighten the industry and realize that there's more to good tale than high stakes and universal scale
No it won’t. It’s dumb and this isn’t even canon
The crazy thing is, is while Barbara was lashing out on Jason bout killing the Clown Joker, He says” When was the last time you missed barbara?” Because she is considered the most accurate throwing batarangs in bat family.
Thanks, i didn't understand why het said that
She tryna act all innocent
Part of her knew what was the right thing to do. Another part of her wanted him to die.
Typical female 😆
Can we just appreciate his Joker laugh?
He does it very well, not quite Hamill well, but easily my second fav to put a voice to Joker. Kudos to Benny!
preach
Criminal: Jack Nicholson
Comedian: Mark Hamill
Clown: John Dimaggio
Facts let my guy do a cartoon voice
No we can't we can only fear it cause we all know Hamill is the criminal and Benny's one of the others but which one the right one?
The "you really are MY Robin!" Hits really damn hard

“Im Batman, I knew the jokers name one week after we met” most Batman line ever even got I’m Batman in it
after all this time, Batman still hasn't made Joker vaccine available for all gotham population
Maybe he's scared the joker would just make an improved version?
Maybe the Joker keeps modifying the formula frequently so Batman has to constantly make new antidotes for the Venom. It seems something the Joker would do.
The toxin is always evolving and changing
It's always changing. The stuff he mixes up in a janitor's closet is going to be of a different make than what he'd acquire from a lab. And he CAN make it with cleaning products. He's done it before
The joker toxin isn’t a virus or bacteria, it’s a chemical compound. It’s impossible to inoculate against toxic chemicals. You can build a tolerance, taking minuscule amounts over extended periods… But… I don’t imagine that would be healthy lol.
Bruce would never compel the people of Gotham to dose themselves with the J Toxin. That would be an amazing story though… especially if Joker tampered with it and transformed most of Gotham into Jokers…
THAT WOULD BE DOOOPPPEEEEEE
Imagine this in an animated movie, it would fit great in the “under the red hood” universe and use the original actors and animation. They need to make this happen
Agreed
Please no
But with jason faboks artstyle animated! Not DC cheap animation cutting corners for supposedly smooth animation! I want the high budget animation
I desperately need it
Isn't this after joker wars?
Dude, The entire monologue from 35:45 to 37:26, has now been cemented in my mind as Jokers greatest plot. Its extra, its complicated, its obsessive, and it encapsulates the Joker perfectly, truly one of the greatest villain moments ever written.
I think this story had a bit of Joker's envy towards Joe Chill, where he's never been the number one pain in this life, and wanted that spot for himself. But yeah, it's a story of healing for the Bat family, not a villain story for the Joker
"He used the world's worst tape so it falls to the ground"
C'mon Jason, all the gadgets you have and you can't make your own TAPE?
If Batman made a dam- shark repellant, how come you can't make a TAPE?
Still love Red Hood though XD
I don't even know why he even wrote it on paper. Just text it like most people these days because at least you'll know if you've been left on read lol
Odd. I just assumed that Barbara had read it and let it fall to the ground before going to her work-out sessions.
He should have used bat-tape.
Man, what a story, but I do agree I feel like all the joker's should have had more screentime and interactions with one another
nah the jokers interacted enough based on that first scene alone. That was enough to showcase they have a plan.
The only thing about this Story that kinda kills it is Batman knowing the Joker's identity at the end and isn't able to mention it to protect the Joker's wife and son, it's always been one of the biggest mysteries for Batman to work out the identity of the Joker, especially after the end of Death of the Family where Bruce was bluffing about knowing that and Joker killing himself (or trying to) rather than learning the truth - after all, Joker says "If I'm going to have an origin story, I'd prefer it be multiple choice," which perfectly captures just how even his own identity isn't important to him, almost like it's his Kryptonite - having Batman knowing this name, but being legally unable to mention it just feels like it's one step away from the revelation to the greatest unknown in comic book history, and like the mysteries of Pulp Fiction and Groundhog Day, maybe it's better that we never know.
I know right, also can you imagine how messed up that is that they lied to him about his wife and unborn child dying in a fire?!
@@MadmanHelldiver either way, knowing the truth of EITHER would have driven Joker insane. He’s obviously not stable no
Matter what the situation is.
Can't agree at all that that aspect "kinda kills it" at all. I can SEE where you're coming from but I would say that this story is just a single interpretation of the killing joke continuation.
It's get more fucked up when you remember that Bruce also canonically told the Joker his identity shortly after he captured him for the first time as well. Revealed in Death of the Family, where Leatherface Joker (Seriously what in fucking hell DC?) had the murderous dinner party with the Batfam.
Besides, why doesn't he just tell the Joker who he is? He still wouldn't know about his wife and child being alive.
Let's be honest, Barbara did more damage to Jason during this arc than Joker ever could.
I mean, Jason's letter was rather creepy, and he came on rather strong when she wasn't interested, so...
@@Kpengie the janitor tho
@@gal4xyislost What about him?
@@Kpengie he swept up the note
@@Kpengie hardly creepy for a man to confess his feelings to the woman he loves just to give it one last try
The only joker who really lost was the criminal joker. Clown joker got his wish to drive Red Hood into killing him and comedian joker got to become Batman’s #1 after making him forgive Joe Chills; whereas, criminal joker was never able to pull off his plan to make Joe a joker or kill Batman and Joe after that failed.
I feel like using the gun to break the glass so that the shark could eat Gaggy was way more elaborate than just shooting him.
He needed a way to kill someone that couldn't be considered murder by batman
@@apollosun1301 so, bit late to the party here.
1) Thats definetly still gonna be considerred murder, its like shooting a button to blow a person up. You're still killing someone intentionally.
2) Jason murders Joker a few minutes later, Batman seems unfased.
His neighbors probably think he’s crazy, I mean imagine hearing your neighbor laughing like a psychopath
1:43 i love how benny actually laughs as he explains the laughter getting louder
Jason is able to kill Joker because unlike others in the bat family he knows the limit of which criminals to kill and which to not.
Dick Grayson killed the Joker in the actual canon dc continuity years ago. He's the only one who has done it in canon
I disagree, he doesn't have the right to kill the Joker, to me it's a failure of the justice system that allows the Joker to escape.
I think Jason killing a man who's tied up in a chair should never be condoned because it sets a standard that certain individuals have the right to determine whether someone deserves to live, rather than society making that choice.
@@MadmanHelldiver but that's the thing there isn't a person in Gotham who thinks joker should live. But the system keeps failing them.
@@kyraptor2521 exactly, it's part of what makes the moral dilemma, the Justice system is what Batman stands behind.
It routinely fails the people, but to abandon it is to take the same side as the Joker.
A Joker. Jason killed *A* Joker. And probably not the one who beat him with a crowbar. The entire plan was to bump off the Criminal and the Clown. The Comedian must have fed the Clown some juicy lines. The Clown likes to laugh at the suffering of others. The Comedian knew he wouldn't be able to resist taunting Jason. BANG.
Wait, so...if Batman already knew The Joker's true identity already a week after they first met, then why would he ask the Mobius Chair what is Joker's true identity?
Exactly my question
The official explanation is that "he was testing it" but he later tells gl that it said there are three.
It’s because the comics are stupid lol. Basically it’s whatever the writer wants to do for each panel
How the heck can you dislike anything Benny and his crew put out its epic content and they do a bit of everything for all genres of comics
Jason's revenge was the most deserving thing that ever happened in all of comics.
Prove me wrong.
Sure, what right does Jason have to dictate who lives and who dies?
Sure. How do we know this was the right Joker? Later the Comedian claims he did it. If true, Jason shot the wrong man, breaking his promise to Batman for nothing. If I was the Comedian, I would totally set the Clown up for that. It's a pretty funny joke.
@@MadmanHelldiver Maybe the fact he was tortured for months without end
@@redtomato3943 by your logic holocaust victims should be able to walk through Berlin, killing any German they find and be justified in doing so.
The lesson Batman is teaching is to be the best version of ourselves, to uphold justice as determined by society. Jason doesn't have the right to kill, no one does, *that's the point*
@@MadmanHelldiver it’s not that I find him morally correct or anything, and I don’t even support him murdering joker, it’s just that I can understand that if it was me in his shoes, I would’ve killed the joker in a heartbeat, plus, do you think a holocaust victim would be compassionate if hitler was tied to a chair, and they had a gun, with no one to stop them?
Knowing the Joker's identity from the first week doesn't mesh very well with him asking the chair who the Joker is.
he did it because he wanted to know if the morbius chair also know it
tbf he also asked the chair who killed his parents
Love your channel Benny! Keep it up! Favorite comic right here
Man your amazing at your voice overs and the way you tell the story it captivated me!
Joker is my favourite of all! I loved how he done all of that just to be Batman’s greatest pain lol
I have been watching your videos for 6 years now and i love it more and more! Keep it up man!
6 years...?? Tf
You know, the cop killing the joker wouldn’t be charged as a criminal, neither would a civilian, self defence is self defence
I've always thought that would be a fitting way for the Joker to finally die.
He wouldn't get the last laugh, and he would die knowing he failed to break Batman's moral code.
@@DoratTheKiller ngl it would be a great comic, the joker shot to near death by a nobody and watching the jokers mind as he goes through memories and thinks about all the ways it could have ended and the joker dies with a frown and a sense of loss.
And if it was the real world the guy that shot him will be kept anonymous and will get a high five from the police, take an easy W in a self defence open carry case even in New York and spend the rest of his life in whiteness protection in Florida, Iowa, Denver or Arizona hiding from the joker gang
Of course in the DC universe he’d be sent to Arkham and forced to join the suicide squad or something the poor bastard
@@nathansteele4358 Well the idea of J is he is the rising chaos that shadows the order.
The existence of Batman who uses fear to better the world makes a unfearing evil that laughs at it's face for trying.
The rebel against The fear, The Laughter against The Stoic, The chaos against The Order.
Roles may change and conflicts may occur else where or in another time but a battle against opposites with only 1 remaining alive is an old tale. If the hero falls the villan will make the status quo and vice versa.
As long as Batman exist and as long as Arkham exist, as they are now, the Joker will exist.
I think the story perfectly sets up what and who joker is. The idea is that the joker is a manifestation of chaos, he's unpredictable, insane, and he can be anyone. The thing that is most interesting about joker is that we know so little even though we see so much. Once you give him a true identity it takes away from his "chaos" because then we can start questioning why he does what he does and come to reasonable conclusions. With the joker having no identity, we are always left guessing, its chaotic. I think he kills the other jokers because they still have a sense of what they wanna be and we can see it, one wants to become an image a symbol, the other wants to just cause pain. The third and final one however, we dont know what he wants which brings us back to the fact that he IS chaos, there is no meaning or reason behind him.
I started crying when Bruce Wayne read the letters from the man that kill his parents.
This was never meant to be a joker story, he's involved to be the catalyst for Batmans pain. This is a story that highlights the difference between doing the right thing and landing somewhere in that grey area. There's so much rich character development here and I was personally very pleased to see red hood shoot and kill the joker. Jason said he'd do it and he did and nothing was going to stop him. He has to walk that path not because he wants to but because he has to know where it ends and if redemption can be found after walking such a bloody path. If Batman can forgive joe chill then there may be some hope for Jason someday. It's a brilliant story.
Thanks Comicstorian! I appreciate the Hell out of all your content.👏🏻🤟🏼
I love these so much. Watching them on the couch is bomb.
I really like how built up into a full joker laugh when he started saying louder and louder and then broke down into a joker laugh
About time these three videos came together
They should of pulled the trigger on redhood becoming the new joker. Everything was there seting it up. Imagine if joker injected him when he was knocked out. Errrrrghhh such a missed opertunnity. We could of had an out of control Jason Todd losing his mind and becoming joker, alll while fighting the jokerization. Taking/searching nonstop antidotes like batman did in prior stories.
Nah man Todd deserves better
@@sensei1.02 we had many jokers in many media. We need a joker that hits hard on our current events

SPOILERS
I question I have had since I read the run, at the end batman says he has know who the true identity of the joker is all along, but if that’s the case why did he bother asking the mobius chair what the jokers true name/identity was if he already knew it. I was thinking it was to test the chair ( asking it something he already knew the answer to) but that just seems like a lazy writing. Have I missed something ?
yeah that was my question too!
he asked to prove the mobius chair worked
I just got the Hardcover today and read it, Here's what I think about your question and this is just my opinion not fact but, I think Batman asked the Chair to 100% confirm his suspicions, but the chair gave him an answer he didn't expect which was that there were 3 Jokers.
We have to also remember that Batman in this Comic is probably in his late 30's or early 40's, in the continuity which is usually updated to modern standards Batman has only known Joker for 20 years not 77 years, yes he's met all these Jokers over the Years but in our time we've known Batman and Joker for 77 Years, Batman in Comics has only known Joker for 20 years at the most, he never knew there were three until he asked the mobius chair, but that doesn't rule out that he hasn't at least figured out ONE Joker's Identity, and asked the chair to confirm his suspicions.
@@CAPEDCRUSADER3900 wait also why didnt he hu just ask the mobius chair the name location way to defeat etc etc thinking etc also why couldnt he save his parents like he tried once but only once only h if he was really desperate cant he just like wait 1 year before the murder to stop whatever cause to mudrfe the mud mr murder to happen in the first place or just block the bullet properly like hmmmm :0.:0:p...
Also the way to prevent the joker from being born etc why and how sk so he can have more info and prep etc like cant he hust just prevent him from being born as the joker by preventing whatver circumstances made them that way
Batman saving joe chill will always hit different

I really like this story because of the way it’s expressed. I know people don’t like this story but I do a lot.
Leave it to Geoff Johns to make Jason Todd stop killing, even if just temporarily.
22:13 Jason really didn't make his helmet strong enough to withstand a crowbar? You'd think a bitch would learn-
Back with another one, Mr Benny, great work. Hope you and those close to you are doing well
First time here definitely love this, you just gain a new follower.
I love the comedian the crime joker and the clown joker amazing as well but they seem a bit more calm than the comedian I truly love to see the amazing voice acting that you do on all your characters thank you
Soo good the impersonations really made the video 10/10
I love you Dubs to this comic. Specially Jokers voice that laugh
Keep up the amazing content
Great job! I love this comic.
Your Joker laugh is phenomenal!!!
Thank You Benny Much Love For Everything You've Done Rest In Peace Brother❤
The clues tell me the Criminal Joker is the original. The clown he created then took over
Yeah, even his appearance is a dead giveaway that he's the original
I think it was the comedian cause he’s the one with the origin story. He prolly just picked an older man
The older man is the original joker because there needs to be many joker just like cinema. Every joker define a decade
I think this too, personally I also like to think the criminals Joker is actually the joker we saw from the joker movie as he does seem to be older than the two other ones as well as he seems to be in pain when he laughs. He laughed after Jason mentioned killing his comrade and it could be that it was involuntary compulsion from grief/anger. The comedian is obviously the origin from the killing joke as he had a wife that was expecting in his backstory.
@@johnpodziewski4219 Yeah I also think that he's the OG one, later taking someone older and putting his place during some moments of the classic era while he plans some big plan to attack Batman, like for example The Killing Joke with James and Barbara
This man is a goat at comics explained
The way you talked in the image of the joker when Batman said "what do you want" followed by the jokers response was amazing. Gave this scene and the entire story life. You have a talent.

Love the artwork of this comic. I would love to see Barbara, Jason, Dick, Tim and Stephanie all come to life in live action. I'm afraid we're never gonna get to see it done right though. Sure, we have a Batgirl movie on the way, but they chose to cast an actress that looks nothing like Barbara Gordon, so she really isn't coming to life. It's just a chick in Batgirl cosplay.
This is the first time I've seen all the episodes of it come out
Love the voice over made me bricked up
Ahhh a great ending......but they brought something back in me the question something I didn’t want come back the identity of the joker 🃏.
One of my favorite comics. 👍👍👏👏
There is one thing I don't understand:
If Batman has known Jokers Identity since their first encounter, why did he ask the Mobius Chair about his Identity?
That joker laugh impression was actually pretty good at the beginning
So these jokers are...
Criminal: Heath Ledger
Clown: Mark Hamill
Comedian: Mark Hamill
Nope, sorta.
Criminal: Heath Ledger, ok.
Clown: Cesar Romero.
Comedian: Jack Nicholson.
Joke: Jared Leto.
Tragedy (The Opposite of Comedy): Joaquin Phoenix.
THE Joker? There's only ever been ONE: Mark Hamill!
A good story with beautiful artwork. Not an all time bat classic but it was a damn fun read
Hm. Red hood with a joker smile (21:50) is actually way more menacing than the usual - and a incredibly cool design considering why Jason uses the moniker.
man I really hope we get more Jason Todd and Barbara Gordon romance story. Dick and Starfire are already great together.
Batman: Three Jokers was one of the best Batman stories of 2020s! Geoff and Jason were fantastic storytellers!
In terms of live action jokers, Jack Nicholson is the criminal, Cesar Romero is the comedian, and Heath Ledger is the clown
Heath Ledger was the criminal, Mark Hamil was the clown, and Jack Nicholson was the comedian. You obviously don’t know anything about the three jokers.
@@Theendisnearasuouknowit I dunno...Hamill and Nicholson seem to be playing the same Joker. Sure, the TAS version was sillier like the Clown, but then there's the Arkham Asylum Joker. Free of the restraints of Saturday morning cartoons, he goes wild.
It's been more than 2 weeks since you uploaded a justice league odyssey video
Im happy the Comedian one didn't die, because he's my favorite of any joker ever haha
That ending! "I've known who the joker is since two weeks after I met him". Sheesh

This giving me goosebumps 😅
One of the best reads since Joker War
Joker's motivation here kinda reminds me of Gotham, where Jeremiah tried to recreate the Wayne murders with Jim and Lee because he can't stand the thought that a random thug is much more important to Bruce's origin story than he is
There needs to be an Arkham Game with this storyline, it reminds me alot of the mood of Arkham Knight
I think this is the only time I remember Joker acknowledging that Bruce Wayne is batman and I love it, only took notice to it just so he could be Batman’s worst pain
Barbara calling jim dad makes me think Gordon's brain is off
Yes FINALLY
I love the full story series
38:04 ahahahahaha "he used the world's worst tape" 🤣👌
Love it!!!
I just copped Three jokers #1 all 5 variants. deff don't even wanna open them up at all. Thanks for the story!
It makes a lot of sense for the comedian to be the original joker because of the killing joke story telling the most canon and accepted origin for the joker, He was the original red hood making Jason taking up his old name fit well plus the comedian is also the one that crippled Barbara.
And also, when you think about Batman talking about how he knows The Joker's identity while showing who I believe is Mrs.Fleck meaning Joker is really Arthur Fleck from the flashback in the killing joke, It all adds up nicely and would conclude the story in a logical sense
Even when logic was never Joker's strong suit, I'm purely just speculating as a Batman fan
Red Hood was right to kill Joker
the writing abused a little with barbara being all female power, specially over Jason who seemed just like an angry confused little boy (he usually isn't really like that). Other than that, it's a pretty decent comic book. Same level of Black Mirror, imo.
Black Labels I still prefer Azzarello & Bermejo Comic Books, they're the best.
Idc what you say, I love this one.
We need a movie with 3 jokers
Good Job🤘🏼😎👍🏼
Benny Thank you ❤
Awesome comic 😁👍.
What makes NO sense is that The Three Jokers Story acknowledges the Killing Joke Origin, in which Batman CLEARLY states "All these years and still DON'T know him" "I don't know him, anymore than he knows me" but then Batman says he knew who Joker was a week after he showed up. Not only is this story Paradoxical or Circular, but its is completely contradictive of its own exposition. Of course the simple fact that there are 3 Jokers makes absolutely no sense in of itself, especially if you want to take into consideration Harley Quinn or Dionisis.
This "story" was nothing but marketing hype and BAD writing. There are some things that DC really doesn't need to follow Marvel's (Disney's) lead on and this type of "writing" is a HUGE one.
