@@georgeshelton6281 I am a michael jackson fan myself, and Im not offended at all. South park is and always was a show that wants to provoke themes. It never wanted to impose an opinion. I mean look at all the politically incorrect things they say :D It wants you to think about its persons and themes and problems it points towards to. In this episode specifically I often think about: "Did they really do/show this? Are they nuts XD" but I personally think, that MJ would like this kind of humor and would laugh a few times about this. Though he really would dislike all the rumors spread about here, because he was the worlds most misunderstood person ever. Thats not to say you should like him or something, but there are so many stupid rumors about him, that are obviously not true. And MJ would know, that all the americans would believe that many things told in this episode are true. I think its quite american, to have all these fake informations invoked all over the country. But I dont want to point the fingers on americans because even my mother said today, that MJ would have had an operation for the colour of his skin to become white which obviously is false if you think about for just a few seconds XD Its a really sad and misunderstood, maybe sometimes even quite strange person, but I really enjoy his music :)

Even if this is satire, I think that this is probably one of the most respectful representations of Michaen Jackson in popular media, he was a guy that didn't have the chance to enjoy his childhood and was heavily traumatized, only approached by people who wanted to take advantage on him.
Yes! The episode covered it really well even in a joking manner. They threw in comedic jokes ofc but nothing too malicious or evil. Some scenes were quite heart warming at times.

In Southpark they portray him as father who leaves his son behind and would rather play than raise him. This is, like most south park satire, is hilarious, but... I always feel/felt so bad for him. His dad did some serious damage. I don't think he m0lested kids, but like... He wasn't appropriate with them. He felt safer around children, & felt happy reliving a childhood he never got, & the mental illness is obvious. Yet I still think he was simply very misguided with those kids, but not malicious or abusive. Cory has come out and stated all kinds of stuff re: abuse to kids in Hollywood, way before times up, etc, but he's always firmly been on Michael's side & defended him. If he had no problem calling out Hollywood, I think he would've done the same with Michael had it been true.
Yes, Michael Jackson was one of the most fascinating people in history. The logical part of his brain was mature beyond imagination, while the emotional was severely stunted from lack of normal growth and childhood abuse. I also agree it was societally inappropriate, but then again the ones who haven't lied about abuse (I firmly believe he is innocent) all say Michael helped them out tremendously. Corey, Culkin, Barnes, Bhatti, the Cascios, Lewis, Spence, etc. So it's all very complicated, but bottom line to me is I think he had a tremendously good heart and did what he could to help children, and the evil in this world took advantage of it and destroyed him. Very sad.
