That's what I miss most from old South Park, kids acted like actual kids worried about issues typical of their age like affording a new video game or defending themselves from bullies while being mostly ignorant about what's going on in the world, most of the show humor came from the fact that kids often ended up being involved in some of the current events by accident and looking at it through a kids simple mind they clowned on current affairs, policy or other real world stuff. The show was still very grounded on real world issue but it had a surreal point of view on stuff which felt like a break from reality. Nowadays South Park kids act like miniature adults focused on stuff such as political correctness and social media end everything feels so forced and didascalic, it just feels like "yeat another commentary on current stuff" and we already have too much of it.
