I guess its all about box design and tune. Im running only 800 watts and 40hz onwards was brutal (effects breathing), never had much flex. Increased power and the lows didn't get lowder, just bottomed out woofers. Just changed my tune from 40 to 26hz, now the windshield goes up and down hahaha. Similar amounts when this guy was playing Queen. I don't care about flex so I settled my tune to 34hz
My homie had 1 12" sundown v2 i set up for him on a 3k watt taramp and it flexed just like that. Front windshield flex was crazy and no extra batteries or alternator yet.
This is the most clean set up. Simple and effective. Think I might do this along with the infinite baffle I have right now. Switch from kicker to sundown thoes 12s look nice

Im running about 4000w with a 100ah agm in the back and 0 guage. Voltage drops to 13 volts but as soon as the bass stops im back to 14.4 with stock 110 amp alt
This build is the reason I did my build….I did a 148 I think once on a sfb 8k. Except my overhead light and rear view fell. The overhead actually shattered on the inside
Jacob, what's your thoughts on this situation. I've got a small Trunk ,and I I can't build my box to specs because picked for space ,can I reduce the size of my box and just invert subs and if I do what should I do to the port ,reduce it too or make it a little bigger????
Only thing wrong is your subs is facing the cabin .. in those type of trunk model cars and subs with how your box is tuned u want that thing firing towards the trunk the subs will make more acoustic energy thus more bass and more flex .. the pressure of the subs hitting the back trunk bumper area give u more flex my bd2 audiopipe make as much flex as this with no extra batteries or anything
I just started driving for Uber a month ago and had to take my 12 inch sub out for fear of not having enough trunk space for airport rides. And I have a 2014 Corolla. If you still drive for Lyft like it says on your back window what do you do if you get a airport ride?
Just came back again to say it's hard as hell to put decent size subs In this car with enough airspace and front facing subs/port. I WILL find a way to do it with two 15s tho
Get out the grinder and saws all and get to cutting out the metal around the trunk from the inside then, once it’s flushed do deadener on both sides of that part to avoid crazy noises then measure and build.
@@TheSimulatorSmith thanks bro However this is my daily driver and only vehicle, I'm not trying to make any permanent changes or cuts to the car itself at this moment But I do think I have a plan, after measuring over and over again I have come up with a box design I believe will fit but it will definitely have to be assembled inside the car.. this actually in my head is the hardest part. I know how I will be able to fit all the pieces inside but I don't know how I'm going to manage to screw some of them together. Like the 'lid'/top piece of mdf. I need to screw down vertically unto the 'walls' of the box, but there's no way because the trunklid/read deck will be blocking me How do other people get around this issue with built in boxes? Do they cutout/remove their rear deck so they can screw from above? Or do they just avoid box designs that will require you to scre like that... with a basic understanding I am able to design boxes but idk if I can come up with something that'll fit and doesn't require vertically ran screws lol 😅
@@RandoManFPV yes to get around a big box they literally cut a lot of the rear out I’m lucky with my car I can get the tuning I want and over sized specs in my car. In my experience if you want big bass get a bass car and put slightly less than what you want, however for me anymore I daily drive my bass vehicles lol so a trunk wall is the most practical in a daily driven bass car. With getting past the screw parti have no idea how one would do that I’m not perfect with box building myself.
I wanna try out those big ports. But I think labyrinth designs hit lows better oh well it’s fun to experiment I’m 60% done building a new box today finish it tomorrow hopefully it sounds good subs are gettn heavier these days :) Sungate fosdown sytem
Workingclass Person since you build subwoofer enclosures I would definitely recommend these ports. They are fun to use. These ports make it real easy to adjust tuning for testing the enclosures efficiency and bandwidth.
Those are the punch pro series... I run all power series mids and highs on all punch class ab amps... I dont like the pro mids and supertweets... I like the way the power series sound better.

I would love a 150 db. But I know that DB or more would require a big time setup. I would probably be working with 2- 6 cubic feet air space . I'm going to get a custom box for 2 12 inch subs. The xmax on my 2 x8v3 is 19 mm it bottoms out alot. So that's why I wanted to upgrade to sundown x 12 or zv5 12. I was thinking of doing 4 in total x8v3. But I'm thinking I won't be happy with the bandwidth. I'm new to all this. I just want a head turner without sacrificing alot of space.
The best sound in a car is one 15 IB and two 12s in an enclosed 4th order box if you have a trunk with a deep spare tire well for the 15 IB because you got to cut a hole through it and make a baffle around it to mount the 15 in IB. Then you can sit the box over it.
@@superior3384the only way you can shake the ground like you want it will take an 18 in infinite baffle where the spare tire is. You'll need an 18 with high QTS. I like to cover mid bass with 12s in a box and the lows with an IB sub at the same time because you'll be hitting deep booming bass with the 18 in IB and be getting loud with the boxed 12s. This is the best sound you'll get.

Untop of all that you've heard them play in set up which I love to hear your feed back and comparison. I want to go from my current two Fi 15" sp4 plus. To fi Omega 15s But I'm been quite curious of the Psi audio platform 5 15s. On sheet both Psi & Fi Omegas have some crazy specs. So I can really use your insight and expertise, cause I no more less what to expect from Fi Omegas but with the platform 5 I have no idea other than seeing them on your channel or Exo. Other than that i would be the first in my island to have Some PSI subs imported. So what do u think bro? Thank you in advance. That’s a 45ah I have the same one in my trunk. Gonna switch to Cmax. And that’s an 8” port. The 8” bigass ports flares to 12”.

Untop of all that you've heard them play in set up which I love to hear your feed back and comparison. I want to go from my current two Fi 15" sp4 plus. To fi Omega 15s But I'm been quite curious of the Psi audio platform 5 15s. On sheet both Psi & Fi Omegas have some crazy specs. So I can really use your insight and expertise, cause I no more less what to expect from Fi Omegas but with the platform 5 I have no idea other than seeing them on your channel or Exo. Other than that i would be the first in my island to have Some PSI subs imported. So what do u think bro? Thank you in advance. I haven't heard either subs in person yet sadly as their BEAST subs but I know for sure the upgrade will be good ONLY if assuming your power range is over 5k clamped watts per sub as the Fi sp4s are known to be optimal for 3-5k watts and omegas 6-8k watts.
