I kinda disagree with the comedy personally. People didn’t like Thor L&T’s comedy because the movie kept throwing jokes over scenes that were meant to be dark and over a storyline that was meant to be darker She hulk is a full on comedy which isn’t meant to be serious. 2 different styles
Yes but isn't She Hulk's comics like this? Many people are saying that solely based on the trailers and clips that they are doing justice to her true character such as her personality and how she breaks the 4th wall.
I disagree with Wong being that serious of a character. There's been comedic elements with his character in both Doctor Strange and Shang-Chi films. He definitely would fit this show.
indeed - Wong has become, for us geeks, the most relatable - deadly serious when he needs to be, yet putting humor in as we do because that's often a good way to maintain sanity in light of the crazy that the world throws at us. The very essence of a "well-rounded" character.
My top 3 favorite shows are Moon Knight, Hawkeye and Wandavision I hope this show is going to be good I've been excited for it since the trailer besides people hating it for the CGI can't wait!
I enjoyed the first episode, had some good humor and am excited to see more of the slice of life aspect of being a superhero and one that doesnt necessarily want to be one. The only thing that felt out of place to me was her talk with hulk when he was trying to help her. think Jens speech about her experience as a woman is very valid & important and needs to be said but I think in context, her saying it to hulk specifically and saying that she can control her anger better and “infinitely” more than him doesn’t land as well as it couldve. Bruce has experienced a lot as a result of being a hulk. Such as the loss he’s gone through, the past 10+ years of fighting between two beings internally, fighting for the sake of humanity and saving the universe, losing the woman he loved and a friend in Tony Stark, and all the mental issues & suicidal thoughts he’s experienced throughout all of this because hes a hulk. Hulk is coming from a place of trying to help not only another hulk but it’s own his own family. Also she was about to hulk out and beat the crap out of the 4 dudes at the bar so his training is needed to help her. I think her having that speech should have been with another person.
from how I've understood and processed everything so far it looks like they're really establishing how much She Hulk still has much to learn and grow, which of course is why Bruce's help is necessary and perhaps they will both grow in their experiences; although the speech shouldnt have been told to bruce, i think its also part of proving the point that she still needs to learn more about controlling her own anger because at that moment she WAS getting mad already. I was kind of expecting feminazi cringe but now ive seen that its really mostly men missing the point, esp since the episode did prove that Jen will need more of Bruce's help.
It's a little funny how some folks (not Warren) will criticize Marvel shows for being sort of monolithic and then turn around and criticize them for having different styles with different tones for different audiences (also not Warren). The genres of Loki, WandaVision, and Moon Knight were on entirely different ends of the spectrum (heavier fare) from Hawkeye, Ms Marvel and from what She-Hulk promises to be (much lighter).
Some people will always complain about feminism even if it's just for showing a woman outside of the kitchen though. Personally I'm not bothered with female themes as long as it isn't preachy. Politics in a show is not a bad thing but it needs both subtlety and complexity.
Regarding inconsistent fourth wall breaks I remember this happening in a game on RPG that I've been playing so I know that the main character well one of the main characters would fourth wall break sometimes in the story the other characters didn't know about what was going on and then towards the end when you're about to go to the final battle the Mage in the group would say "oh wait something's weird I sense someone's watching us" and then she basically says to you the player to make sure they're all still alive. And also the final boss would fourth wall break because he was aware pretty much everything. Anyway the point I'm making is it depends on how they go about that inconsistency because in that game that I was talking about it works perfectly.
I'm a huge Marvel fan and literally watch everything but honestly I'm getting vibes that I won't hate this show but I won't recommend it either. I felt this way about Ms. Marvel as well which is strange as it was the first time I was semi-bored. I was just kind of there watching because it's a Marvel story. Like Ms. Marvel it seems like I only need to watch the last episode and be perfectly fine continuing on the MCU movies.
When I watch this, I'm going to love it, enjoy it, and say it's a good MCU show, just like all the rest. And I don't care what people think or say about it, either the movies or shows. The MCU is great just the way it is, whether they like it or not. Can't wait!!

That is how comedy works. Some jokes or joke styles do not work for certain people. John mulaney is a comedian with a giant fanbase and there are still people who hate his comedy. That’s called taste. And the consistency of fourth wall breaks have never mattered before, people heard Deadpool break the fourth wall in one scene and then blatantly not hear it in others. That’s just how fourth wall breaks work in comedy, you are already suspending your disbelief that these characters exist and now you’re thrown through a loop cuz they’re talking directly to you. Deadpool has done it and no one complained, so why is she hulk any different
ok, re: Wong...he's the centerpiece of the MCU right now because he carries both. Yes, he's deadly serious...but "Hunka Hulka Burning Fudge", and the very dry humor of his 2 appearances in Shang-Chi. Benedict Wong is just incredibly flexible and has managed to make the character a solid, well-rounded thing capable of being whatever the story needs while never being a blank slate that has nothing to himself. So yeah, I don't think doing comedy here is out of the ordinary, nor will it distract from when he needs to get deeply serious in the future. For us geeks, he is, well, us. He is how WE relate, taking the serious seriously, yet finding every single chance we can to inject humor into the world just to preserve our sanity.

I feel like marvel let critics see the first four episodes because they were saving the real good stuff for episodes 5-9 i seen in one review dare devil wasn’t introduced yet I feel like that second half will be more serious and more action hopefully
How many ways does the She-Hulk Disney Plus Show set up the events of the Thunderbolts movie in the MCU since we're seeing the Abomination and lesser known Marvel Villians in this show?
Ppl try to judge the MCU movies like they were normal films when they're not! You have to like super heroes and you have to like extended fighting sequences and most importantly you have to be okay with the fact that it's almost impossible to make a good movie with those qualities and stay within those Disney right and expectations is crazy
I disagree, The Hero's Journey (marvel story template) has been around for THOUSANDS of years rings true with the human condition and has been used to tell stories and teach lessons in SO many different cultures, even WAY before they all new about each other enough to share stories cross culture. Seems strange that this method of story telling was used in so many different parts of the world while being isolated. So I think that "super-heroes" are more widely liked than any other art form.
Preach man block out the haters I'm personally hyped but who knows if I will or will not like it that's for sharing a different side of opinions (that I haven't seen yet) good to know and y'all do you.
Warren how do you get to watch these things early???? So I have to make a UA-cam and talk about literally everything marvel then I'll get to watch these episodes like you?????
If you say your a fan of she hulk and don't like the feminist side/jokes in it then you have not read the comics. She has mad many jokes about calling a "woman to help the boys" out, or "call a little girl to do a man's job".
Now I need a little bit of an explanation when you said the fourth wall breaking was inconsistent what exactly did you mean was that like the timing of it was a little bit weird or was it like ultimate Spider-Man where it just happened suddenly and you didn't really understand why? Although not to diss ultimate Spider-Man it was well executed for that one as well
I certainly enjoy your opinions., But if Marvel is sending you pre-screening permission, if the show is bad as l suspect it is, will you be honest and say it ? Because could decide no more for you. Lol
@@samdowd1444 From what I've heard about, they could be setting up Scar, and also Bruce is not completely sure he handled Hulk, so there's a high chance he could come back and he'll be alright. Then again , gonna have to wait and see.
Wow that's not a good review Phase 4 has failed with aiming for right people. For me I had a kid and mom in the cinema talking throughout the whole Doctor strange 2 was too much but for me it didn't go for the r rated movie it needed to be.
A little word of advice from a fan... when you do your spoiler free reviews, maybe you should try to stick to YOUR opinion on what YOU saw and not focus on whether or not the rest of us are will like the episodes or not. We are here for your thoughts. 😁 ( woof woof)
Oh no lol Cosmic usually loves MCU content wayyyy more than other marvel fans/reviewers so if he feels this way about the show you know it must be not that good lol my standards for the show leading in are extremely low now which is too bad cause the concept of a shehulk show is awesome! Glad DC is trying to focus more on quality over quantity and marvel should probably do the same tbh 😅
@@Magdalena8008s exactly what I meant, if you listened, he said that based on the first four episode alone he thought it was worse than half of the main official MCU shows so far and that he was unsure how good the rest of the episodes will turn out based on his experience with the first four episodes especially due to the show’s unique style of laying out the overall plot of the story.
@@andreweleccion4941 and the fact that DC are planning a 10 year plan which fans have to wait and some are fed with DC, Ezra Miller has even made fans angry. The fact that they want release the flash movie people won’t enjoy it because of what he’s doing
@@carlxd467 I think it’s a good thing, would you rather have 2 Amazing DC movies a year or 4 meh DC movies a year? I personally prefer quality over quantity. The flash movie was part of the old administration and to make it up to standards, they have delayed the movie, are doing ALOT of reshoots, and redirecting the plot. I’d rather them take their time to make the movie great than too just rush and release it how it was. Plus I’m sure many people apart of the developing process of some these marvel projects like the VFX artists would appreciate it too as many have spoken out saying they are given unrealistic deadlines causing drops in quality and poor working conditions.
I just don't think Marvel is good enough to bring me back to disney after all the "wokeness" these past few years. The more I learn about properly raising a child and how to be a good adult the more i see how much Disney gets wrong when trying to make good and innocent stories and how much they actually groom people into a false perspective of how to be happy and healthy in love, intentional or not. Their stories sell "sex" and romance to children who's brains aren't ready to understand this, creates false standards as to what Love and romance really are and becuase these kids grow up to become teens/adults with a distorted view of relationships they falter and end up having sex too young, birthing children while still in school and don't understand the proper dynamic of relationships, especially young girls. They end up looking for a partner who will do anything for them not knowing that that is precisely what kills attraction and ultimately self-sabotaging their relationships if not properly corrected. tldr: Disney stories are bad for child development and ruins families
I really didn't like Love and Thunder, but it wasn't because it was comedic. It was because it was rapid fire jokes and none of them were funny to me. It was like a really bad stand-up comic with ADHD.
@@jamesj4238 the trailer is supposed to give us an idea of what the show is about. If you aren't excited then, you might not get excited by the real thing.
there wasn't "some" feminism in the show. there was a ton in episode 1. I was very open to feminism as its She Hulk. I was 2 min in the show and we got it right out the door. And so far the men were portraited as horrible. I am very open to woman empowerment. I have a daughter and I am excited for her growing up in a world were woman are portered smart, strong, Independent, and on equal gowns with all these super powers. But you dont have to put down men for it. And if someone thinks they didn't do this was not truly paying attention to the show. I have been trying to hang on to the MCU but its become so hard now. It sounds like you did not really like the show hahahahah and this makes me happy. not because I want the show to fail but because it felt honest and I appreciate you for that
If you were only in for 2 minutes then no wonder you didn't like it, you should have watched the whole episode and seen how it established how important it was for Jen to listen to Bruce's advice :/ I honestly expected it to be the usual cringe feminism but most of it was pretty valid and they were not putting men down at all??
@@simpflores7561 I watched the entire episode. What I meant to say is 2 minutes in we already got the hit with the “male macho I can do it better” lawyer. I am very open to this stuff. I have a daughter I want to grow up in a world where female leads are represented correctly but this show was super cringe. We must have watched different shows if you don’t think they were man bashing.
@@thefinalanomaly people like the lawyer guy and catcallers exist and the show will obv show people like them since its gonna be about she hulk's perspective and experience, but I do think the opening with the former was a strong start and hopefully this more obvious depictions will become subtle and not be brought up in a very obvious manner in future episodes
@@simpflores7561 there was a lot more in this first episode then just this scene. At the start you had the male layer that insisted it “would land better coming from him” this could have been a female assistant or they/them. No. It had to be a male. Then she saves Bruce when in the comics he saved her. Then she wakes up at a bar and it’s “harassed” by men. Then after her blood heals Bruce. She says “so I am better” and he says “different” and she says “different better “ then when there training she moves like a monkey and says “man” “man” and then tells him how she handles her anger because she is cat called (this is fair) but then adds how a “man” has to explain how to do her job. Why not a college or co worker, or woman. Nope had to be a “man” then they finish with at the end still having the male layer say “don’t mess this up” all this in 30 somthing minutes?
@@thefinalanomaly also I suppose the cringe you felt is valid since I too cringed at She hulk's speech but it wasnt entirely invalid, although it was very much uncalled for but then I saw it as part of a flaw of her personality (since shes a lawyer, shed doubtlessly grow very overconfident and proud of herself) plus she was getting mad and Bruce was putting her in a position that challenged her ego so I thought her seemingly insensitive rant was kind of realistic and they did fight over it (also sorry if im kind of incoherent english isnt my first language) ig what im trying to say is its not as bad as I expected and Jen really comes off as proud and flawed, and I hope the show will hold her accountable and develop her character naturally edit: deleted my 2nd comment bc i realized it was redundant mb
Yeah, that's the thing. The movies were played more safer, they were created in a way that almost anyone could enjoy. But the shows aren't like that. They are more daring and experimental and are towards more specific kinds of audience. And it clearly shows, as every person I meet says something wildly different about each show. Some love Wanda vision and hate moon knight, some love both. Some hate both and love what if and Hawkeye. Some love Loki and hate WV and vice verse. And some love Ms. Marvel and hate Loki. So, I think Marvel succeeded in doing what they set out to do. They reached their target audience. I personally loved all of them and appreciated them for what they are instead of what I wanted them to be.
We have been with mcu since iron man the first. We have had a lot of lovable female superheroes. And i was really anticipating shehulk. But this show was just garbage. Now mcu loyal fans (most of them) are just sick of the woke agenda they propagate.
Dude they literally messed up Abomination, the way he talks, his jokes and stuff if that doesn't disappoint you then either you don't know the character from the comics which i know you do or you're just trying to deny marvel's failures which I saw many times from many marvel fans
I kinda disagree with the comedy personally. People didn’t like Thor L&T’s comedy because the movie kept throwing jokes over scenes that were meant to be dark and over a storyline that was meant to be darker
She hulk is a full on comedy which isn’t meant to be serious. 2 different styles
Yes but isn't She Hulk's comics like this? Many people are saying that solely based on the trailers and clips that they are doing justice to her true character such as her personality and how she breaks the 4th wall.

I feel like marvel let critics see the first four episodes because they were saving the real good stuff for episodes 5-9 i seen in one review dare devil wasn’t introduced yet I feel like that second half will be more serious and more action hopefully
Probably not, maybe though
How many ways does the She-Hulk Disney Plus Show set up the events of the Thunderbolts movie in the MCU since we're seeing the Abomination and lesser known Marvel Villians in this show?
I've heard 2 people now say the post credits scenes are just jokes and then try to explain it without bringing up peacemaker
Ppl try to judge the MCU movies like they were normal films when they're not! You have to like super heroes and you have to like extended fighting sequences and most importantly you have to be okay with the fact that it's almost impossible to make a good movie with those qualities and stay within those Disney right and expectations is crazy
You just got to do better senator
I disagree, The Hero's Journey (marvel story template) has been around for THOUSANDS of years rings true with the human condition and has been used to tell stories and teach lessons in SO many different cultures, even WAY before they all new about each other enough to share stories cross culture. Seems strange that this method of story telling was used in so many different parts of the world while being isolated. So I think that "super-heroes" are more widely liked than any other art form.
XDDDDDD so you need to agree with Scorsese it is a rollercoaster ride
How did you know what was a post credit scene but you didn't know when the episode ended
Although not to diss ultimate Spider-Man it was well executed for that one as well
Rick and morty vibes with the post credits, haaayyy
I'm looking forward to it
How is the graphics and CGI of she hulk in the actual series bro??!
as per your reviews i can say it's a 7 out of 10
I think this show is going to be great I think. Because of the fact we get to see Abomination again 😃
Am the 1,000 viewer..yesssssss
Worst episode in a TV series from Marvel, ever. I don't understand how some reviewers are "really loving" this show. I mean grow a pair.
It's just mindless fun like all superhero movies/TV just enjoy the ride it ain't meant to be deep
Only Chad's care about "woke'ness" in shows. All the Chad's loved Top Gun 2 and that shit was basically a join the military commercial.
I'm hoping there's a watch party!
He was probably disappointed that there weren't any cameos lmao🤣
I haven't been waiting for this series, I don't know what to expect, but I think I won't like it
I certainly enjoy your opinions., But if Marvel is sending you pre-screening permission, if the show is bad as l suspect it is, will you be honest and say it ? Because could decide no more for you. Lol
tbh i dont care about she hulk (NOT bc shes a women, as i prefer hulk) my question is HOW GOOD IS HULK/PROFESSER HULK/BRUCE BANNER IN THIS?!?
Do you mean good as in character?
@@alechardine5014 yh
@@samdowd1444 From what I've heard about, they could be setting up Scar, and also Bruce is not completely sure he handled Hulk, so there's a high chance he could come back and he'll be alright. Then again , gonna have to wait and see.
Sees new video from Warren, doesn't hesitate to click the link.
Wow that's not a good review
Phase 4 has failed with aiming for right people.
For me I had a kid and mom in the cinema talking throughout the whole Doctor strange 2 was too much but for me it didn't go for the r rated movie it needed to be.
What do you think is the best thing about each of these episodes?
How are you seeing 2-4 already?
Are they giving us the first 2 episodes since there are 9 like they did with Wandavision?
Unfortunately no . Only one episode will drop tomorrow morning
@@brucelau2023 😭 well I'll be up at 12 to watch it
A little word of advice from a fan... when you do your spoiler free reviews, maybe you should try to stick to YOUR opinion on what YOU saw and not focus on whether or not the rest of us are will like the episodes or not. We are here for your thoughts. 😁 ( woof woof)
Exactly!
He's not hesitant on it. Did you even listen? He said he likes it and a few of the episodes were meh. That's it.
How do you not like What If????
Woof woof brotha
Didn’t you already drop this?
No

God, I hope this show is better than Thor LT. That movie was massively disappointing.
Stop hating on Hawkeye
IS THIS ON DISNEY ➕️?
Hawkeye is one of my favorites. I thought moon knight wasn’t very good at all.
I really didn't like Love and Thunder, but it wasn't because it was comedic. It was because it was rapid fire jokes and none of them were funny to me. It was like a really bad stand-up comic with ADHD.
There indeed is always good and bad Warren I'm honestly going with a 50,50 chance when watching due to the cgi we saw in the early trailer.
But the trailer is different from the show
@@jamesj4238 the trailer is supposed to give us an idea of what the show is about. If you aren't excited then, you might not get excited by the real thing.
@@jamesj4238 I know but who knows maybe the cgi didn't change in the actual show or it could have either way could happen.

A comedy show will never be as funny as sitcoms like Cheers, Fraser, Seinfeld or Friends and etc...
She looks like Fiona from Shrek!
there wasn't "some" feminism in the show. there was a ton in episode 1.
@@thefinalanomaly also I suppose the cringe you felt is valid since I too cringed at She hulk's speech but it wasnt entirely invalid, although it was very much uncalled for but then I saw it as part of a flaw of her personality (since shes a lawyer, shed doubtlessly grow very overconfident and proud of herself) plus she was getting mad and Bruce was putting her in a position that challenged her ego so I thought her seemingly insensitive rant was kind of realistic and they did fight over it (also sorry if im kind of incoherent english isnt my first language)
ig what im trying to say is its not as bad as I expected and Jen really comes off as proud and flawed, and I hope the show will hold her accountable and develop her character naturally
edit: deleted my 2nd comment bc i realized it was redundant mb
Agreed..
..what if is terrible
Why don't you like what if?? @warren
Nice
Interesting how peoples opinions can vary so much. For example, I think Wanda Vision is one of the weaker MCU shows of the bunch
I liked WandaVision but disliked the ending
@@nataliajimenez1870 don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it overall but just felt that shows like Loki and moonknight were much better
Ok
Woof woof
Smh your wrong bro! This show is the best so far man smh

Being a big MCU fan. I am looking 👀 forward to seeing She Hulk. MCU rocks 🎥 🙌 😍 😄 😳 🪨.
I'm going into this with no expectations except to enjoy the story and see where it takes the MCU.
I love when women critics today are saying it's too outdated feminism stuff they tried to push in the show, and that it hurts it more than aids it.
No one is saying that weirdo
