I really appreciate the beginner level stuff. I'm only 28, with a mechanical engineering degree, I work on embedded devices all day, and pretty dang good with logical programming, but all the JavaScript, API, and IoT stuff is totally alien to me!
Great tutorial. I just started learning Node-RED and this was a great tutorial for my use case. I have some APIs at work for which I'm going to use a Raspberry Pi and Node-RED to display a status dashboard. This was very timely for me.
Lots of useful information, thanks! I had used a node from OpenWeatherMap, which was simple, but not as flexible as the http request. I had to convert units with additional nodes.
Awesome content, really useful. I am working with esp32's so for me it would probably be node-red to esp32 via mqtt or have node-red post to esp32 http client. Still learning this web/network stuff.
I've been muddling through with Node Red for years but learned so much from this brilliant tutorial - thank you. I came here because I am trying to use a panasonic-comfort-cloud node. The iPhone app can seemingly check the a/c unit as often as it wants but my NodeRed flow keeps getting 'Too Many Requests' errors. Even though it's set to inject once every hour. I can't find any documentation for the API but I've read that supplying a 'User Agent' might help. Any ideas?
Hi, could you please give me advise? I did everything as you showed us, but when I clicked inject, I got response: “ Self Signed Certificate in chain”. Any advice will be helpful 🙏🏻. Thank you for your videos 🎉
WOW moment watching the video! I'm not interested in IoT or Groove, but this video is very useful to programming. I wonder if Node-Red can generate JavaScript code from the flow created to use it as regular component of a website ? Thank you!
