I would love a new virtua tennis, that game was amazing. I loved it on the Dreamcast personally but I also, always remember the 2 player arcade unit. Was like this cool sloped design to it!
Dreamcast was just my machine personally, I did a game room tour and I mention starting my collection again. When I left the UK, I live in America now btw I sold it all and just instant regret. I’ve got some good ones and tbh because of your comment I just ordered virtua tennis lol. My combo back then was virtua tennis, also quake but then throw in Shenmue, Crazy taxi (the soundtrack was just too good) and a little bit of power stone.....that was a console. Even the VMU memory cards were kick ass. Hate to ask too but hit subscribe if you haven’t already and if you don’t want to I appreciate the support man, appreciate you checking out the video and appreciate you starting a conversation, that’s what UA-cam is all about.....alright, where’s the next virtua tennis....I say a petition needs to start lol
Nice review - Patch dropped early this morning in the UK (I guess it was just within 24 hours of launch so still counted as a 'day one' patch :-)). Fixed a few bugs and annoyances, seemed to add a few extra in match notifications too and maybe a small reduction in frame rate drops and stutters in handheld mode (the choice of venue affects this so I can't be 100% sure). There are still a few rough edges (did you experience the terrible canned crowd applause that plays at the end of a match that loops continuously until you press A to continue? It keeps happening to me and is annoying if you genuinely want to read your stats and watch the match highlights). I'm enjoying it handheld though and this is a game that really benefits from something like the Hori Split pad pro controllers. One issue I do have is that the visibility of the aiming cursor and shot info is harder to see on the smaller screen though - an option to change colour of the circle would help here I think. As per my comment on your previous video, I also picked up another version (PC)... across the two I put in around 5 hours and despite the fact the PC version is much smoother (locked to 60 on my set up) and cleaner, 3 of those hours were handheld on switch.. I just liked it as a portable option. Based on that, the score seems fair for what we've got here I think.

Bugs wise for audio it’s just the crowd generally are repetitive throughout, and also very quiet. It’s like one dude claps while everyone else yawns and falls asleep. Yeah I saw the patch, fortunately it’s nothing too game changing in my opinion. I understand we get an extra playable character in the patch too and they added in some extra stats too. They put a ton of effort into the first game and that makes me confident in this one getting those issues out eventually!

Is it better on switch compared to PS4? It feels broken on PS4, too often it will not respond when I hit a ball ( character doesn’t even move ) , the game feels broken , got it on sale recently.
Alright so I bought it last night. The performance is terrible. It is so frustrating when your player doesn't go for the ball which happens often. Or when you get aced by the AI which aced me an entire game in a row before I just put it down. What sucks is I really enjoy the game. I wasn't sure if I would like a tennis game but I do. Does everyone else have the performance problem? Do you think they'll patch it? The worst is if you play a AI with better statistics it makes it harder by making your timing harder. If I try to go to the outside line it makes my gadge red and goes out but keeping it green means keeping the ball in play and they easily return it. Any suggestions?
@@zachpowell8653 I would but I tried my friends steam deck and it bricked on him. Plus I hate the position of the analog sticks, they're both at the top of the console. Can't change them out with different joy con as I can with my switch. I also don't have a spare 600 bucks just laying around. 👍
has anyone noticed that the ball is very slow with some matches then super fast with others... my ball speed is slow and my appointment usually is super fast i don't understand that??? you can go to settings and adjust the game speeds but it doesnt seem to make a difference...

If you want to play the best tennis game don't waste your time. You can still play Top Spin 4 online on ps3 and xbox 360 in 2020! Player Match, the online exhibition mode still works!

I like to put effort into the music!
Can't believe I made the mistake of listening to this review. The game is a buggy mess. The frame rate drops that regularly occur on the switch is ridiculous. Your characters movements feel awkward all the time. So much is wrong with this game and so little seems right. Huge let down tbh. I expected better gameplay at the very least after how you talk about it but wow.
I think the mistake many will make is expecting an arcade experience with this one and that’s not the case. Frame rate wise it’s pretty locked in at 30, occasional drop but then the cutscenes were bad as mentioned at time of review. The day one patch did cut out some of the frame rate issues too so confirm you’ve ran the update!
@@SwitchCorner honestly it seems less than 30 all the time lol. Like it legit just seems unplayable through most serves at the moment. Hope it Improves for the price it's marked as.
@@swizze9156 These guys are great at patching AO Tennis, they took the first one from a mess and really turned it around so I'm sure they are working on updates and fixes for this one. Hopefully you can end up enjoying it like me!

WTF? This game is unacceptable. Serbia players Issac Matveyev, Senay Yonas, Chariton Vinogradov? Who the fu.. are those players? Also, they put a bunch of irrelevant players and players like Novak Djokovic, Rodger Federer must be downloaded additionally. Mario Tennis Aces is a better game than this.
I don’t think a roster makes a game unacceptable, it’s down to the gameplay, yeah for sure they could get other players but it’s license issues I’m sure and I can guarantee this ain’t a huge budget. Fortunately the community creator is great and you will find characters and locations in there for nearly everyone!

How come this game looks good and there's a career mode. FIFIA excludes Career mode, don't use cry engine, Which Crysis Remastered use on the Switch.
