as an ex-Muslim from Turkey, I'd say that the situation hasn't changed much except politically. Turkish society has always been a divided one and glorifying the post-AKP era as a secular paradise would be inaccurate, to say the least, BUT in terms of politics and the political landscape, it has gotten a lot more Islamized than before, so talks of religion and Allah and stuff has become widespread. Other than that, people are becoming non-religious in masses now more than ever before and I do believe that after we get over this government we'll be better off as a whole :)

If folk don't want to go vegan then 2 or 3 things can improve your health. Cow Dairy free, refined sugar free and gluten free. Ex vegan here . Couldn't do it with my various health issues. Need good quality protein. Was protein deficient when was pregnant as vegan. Not everyone can be vegan

talking about strange dating practices when i was in the Mormon church they would have dances where they would have single men and women, there would also be load of older married couples chaperoning the whole thing. there would be all the awkward singles mainly dancing in front of each other, no real touching, no kissing and me i would be sitting there been board out my mind. then there was group dating where couples would just go out in groups of singles. there would be also be people trying to show how pius they where a lot and watching that everybody was keeping the commandments. My mum is a Muslim convert still and she changed her name to a Muslim when she converted and so did a few of her white convert pals. We also changed our daughters name slightly lucky we could do that ( it actually sounds almost the same and its just the end part thats different spelling ) to make it not a Muslim name anymore ( it's now French but unbelievably means the same as her original name)because she is young and my mum has had some hassle for having a Muslim name on paper( job offers etc ) so with us not being Muslim now it makes sense to just have a name folk are not "suspicious" about.
