Her English has vastly improved now, kudos to her. Can you imagine hearing a Japanese lyrics song a few times & then try to sing it in 1 take flawlessly, nigh on impossible for me. This was the video that open the door to the J-Rock scene for me in 2020. This was when they were first starting and they also did a video for their song "Oiran" in the same set. Singer Mayu does not speak much English (especially then) so there is alot of "Engrish" going on. But her great rock voice makes up for it. In Japan they pronounce R like and L. Actually they were on Marty Friedman's show (Rock Fujiyama) and he was going over how to pronounce the letters with Mayu. Also drummer Tamu was a few months pregnant in this video.
Actually, you’re correct! Iron Maiden’s duel guitar is the best but then again there’s Lovebites who can duel just as good as Maiden! Also Japanese have a hard time pronouncing the R’s, it’s replaced with a T sound! Furthermore, guitarist Saki’s nickname is Chaki, or Chucky

Do you think you might want to do a reaction video to Devil Driver clouds over California John? I think you might have heard of them. The lead singer is Dez Fafara formerly of Coal Chamber

The Trooper was the first video Nemophila uploaded to their channel over 2 years ago (2,817,962 views since Feb 8, 2020!!😳). Aces High was covered by the band about a year ago (980,510 views since May 14, 2021) and you can tell Mayu's improvement singing in English.
Remember that Mayu didn't speak any English at all so she is just copying without understanding the word. Ive tried to do it with Japanese. Its near impossible. Remembering the sounds is way easier than remembering a word or phrase. Even now in concert even though she has been learning since then she still needs to read phrases for long sentences.

Of course I will. I saw Coal Chamber live a couple times many, MANY years ago. But, I'm not familiar with Devil Driver's stuff at all.

I think they're VERY good at it, but best in the world is a tough one. But, we all simply love what we love. These ladies are awesome.
