  • Mt Juliet, known as the City Between the Lakes, is located on the east side of Nashville between Old Hickory Lake and Percy Priest Lake. Not only is it convenient to Nashville, it also has plenty of shopping and dining options locally as well. With highly rated schools, modern conveniences, and proximity to outdoor activities, Mt Juliet is a great option for families.

Moved to Mt. Juliet in 1974 as a small child with my parents. Live here today. Mt. Juliet has be ruined. I would NOT recommend Mt. Juliet as a place to live.
    1. the city was poorly planned out. For example, like the video said, there's no "town center".
    2. traffic is absolutely horrible and getting worse with each passing day. You will rarely exceed 20 to 25 miles an hour when getting from Point A to Point B. You will never have "clean air" in front of you while driving. That is, you will ALWAYS be stuck behind someone while driving. Traffic is always bumper-to-bumper
    3. when you're running errands, you can book it. You will always encounter at least one roadway shutdown where traffic is blocked off temporarily so some construction project can be worked on.
    4. The lakes. We don't go near the lakes on the weekends. Too crowded. Monday through Friday the lakes are fine. But weekends? The lakes are WAY overcrowded and you have to deal with plenty of rude, inexperienced, obnoxious boaters.
5.IRRESPONSIBLE GROWTH. The projects the commissioners are approving are unbelievable. I'm convinced there are some serious kickback payments being made by these out-of-state "developers" to the commissioners.
TOO MANY PEOPLE always always always ruin everything. Mt. Juliet (and Wilson County for that matter) now has too many people. It's the entire southeast. The entire southeast is being overrun and ruined by blue state refugees fleeing those sh*thole blue states. Lots of conservatives are escaping Liberal-Land to move here, but so are a bunch of blue-minded useful idiots, and those idiots will always vote to empower gov't more and more. It's a historical fact. The more gov't you have, the more expensive everything is and the less of everything you have.
My hope is to leave Mt. Juliet as soon as I am able. Mt. Juliet is a nightmare.

Hi, are those new homes allowed to rent out? Is it possible to buy and rent out now, then move to there a couple of years later? Thanks!
