    He had a house in lettermullan Connemara. I often have my tea and sandwiches beside it by the beach..Peter o’Toole often spoke of the party’s he went too in Houston’s house back in the day

    Lovely to hear Huston talking. My only memory of Moby Dick is Gregory Peck going up and down on the whale's back. I'll have to re-watch it.

      Did you watch it? It is one of my favorites, but you have to like sea stories and Melville to get the full effect. And the opening scene with Orson Welles is probably the best single-take scene ever acted or filmed.

      Yup, I remember the face and the voice. Funny how he "forgot" about Moby Dick being filmed in Ireland. ha ha
