Bogart is so charming! What a tough guy!
Is it just me or did people just seem more real back then? More human.
@@Digital_Blondie people who are themselves, and are comfortable in their own skin, there's a charm about them, it's a gift.
@@sohara.... I agree. But something important has changed. People were forced to interact much more intimately and not through a medium. You can see that the music back then was all love songs about falling in love or having hearts broken. Now they sing about money or God knows what.
I think the same, they looked more normal too.
People were more modest and down to earth.
Thank you so much for posting this.
Thanks for watching

Great video. Wonderful couple...very admirable.
Yes they are!
Most actors are type casted. But Bogart has played in so many different roles, like the film noirs, then opposite type roles, ex. the African Queen, the Cane Mutiny. Amazing ability. He smoked heavenly all his life and died early of cancer. A great life. A great actor.
When actors knew how too actually act.
Truelove you can see it in there eyes.
Bogie is star for ever ... I wish they were both alive and could read these nice comments
Both were a great acting team! had the pleasure of meeting thier son Stephen Humphrey Bogart dead ringer for his dad! Here's looking like your dad Kid! Be safe everybody!🙂👍👏🙏
A dead ringer? Sorry, but I see very little of the son in the father. 🤷🏻♂️
@@fifthbusiness1678 You have your right to your opinion. Be safe!
Legends no doubt, it's both amazing and sad, there's Bogie sitting with his very small children and a cigarette in his hand and not too many years later he dies of esophageal cancer. Wow... so hard to think about but worth mentioning because I think Bogie's spirit would want us to pay attention to this cautionary warning. If you are a smoker, take care of your health and your children's health too.
My dad smoked 40-50 Cigarettes per day. He passed at 60 years of age. Like Bogie you rarely saw him without one.
@@charleshammer2928Yes, you can see Edward R. Murrow also with the cigarette in his hand. Back then, when you were an adult, the cigarette was stapled to your hand. Pity. Bacall was also a smoker/drinker. Yet she lived to a very old age.
True and in those days, cigarettes REALLY stunk as those of us past a certain age can attest. Nicotine-stained fingers too. Yuk
Some people can smoke their whole lives no cancer and someone never exposed to smoke can develop cancer. Luck of the draw, how do you want to live. Doesn't help with the extra additional chemicals and all but I don't think vape nicotine is the answer quite the opposite
oh wow, that was cool. thanks for the post. I'm a big fan of both and never saw that interview.
Very interesting clip, enjoyed very much.
Thanks for watching
Bogie was a cool charmed dude,, seemed a little tired in that interview already,,, and his wife L. B. Was go getter ,,, a very strong woman . Too bad he passed so soon back then…
Just fantastic.
I had the pleasant experience a few years ago of visiting that home, now owned by a different family of course, where as it turned out Bogie died from rapidly spreading throat cancer less than 3 yrs after this interview with Edward R Murrow. His last film was The Harder They Fall.
Amazing! Just amazing!
My teenage guilty pleasure on weekends was staying up past midnight watching black and white films - anything with Bogart.
They had so much chemistry that it's easy to forget that Bogart was 25 years older than Bacall.
Wow what beautiful children I didn't know they had children, the boy has her beautiful eyes , that was a beautiful time in America when people loved movie stars and respect them and the other way around too
His charisma and her beauty are mesmerising. What a talent power couple they were.
What a fascinating gorgeous couple 💗💗💗 they were in love you can tell! I also love hearing all the old Hollywood 20th century names of actors deceased now.
There is nothing like this anymore sadly 💜
What a class and 💘
Great Duo : Capricorn and Virgo. I love these.
That’s right! 🩶 This interview is a gem.. thanks for uploading. 💎
wonderful
my legends♥️🔥
I loved the African Queen!
there will never be another Bogie Movie stars of thios era had so much class that is missing today except for perhaps 2 or three
Bacall placed the whistle with Bogie in his casket. 💔
These snapshots are always fascinating.
Their son looks like a mixture between them both bogart and becall.
I seriously wonder why lol
I have seen Steven Bogart interviewed as an adult, he looks quite a bit like his dad.
That's the idea
Love his movie critique sow ,,, PBS?
Thank you for uploading. I love them so so much xxx
Your welcome. Thanks for watching
I read on wikipedia that in 1954 -55 Bogart couldn't eat and I think the cancer started around that time. He became a father when he was 50 years old and he died at 57.
Wonderful interview and glimpse into their home. I enjoyed seeing that Steve Bogart as a boy.
Two of my favorites, heres looking at you two, kids--R.I.P.
so sad that they only had three years left together.heartbreaking as they obviously loved each other very much.
The Barefoot Contessa was an incredible picture
