Currently reading 11/22/63. I'm really enjoying it. I remember that day very well. I was10 years old. They sent us home from school but didn't tell us why. My friend and I heard some high school kids talking about it as we were walking home. No one today could probably understand what a shock it was.
About to finish my first read through of LOTR. I’m enjoying it a lot but had to take a few breaks here and there. I can only handle Tolkien describing rocks and grass for so long.
@@civoreb Classic Fantasy starts with Tolkien for sure.He is the grandfather of the genre we know today. Sure, there is ancient Fantasy aswel Ghilgamesh,Homer books etc.

At least it was a relatively considerate virus since it messed up your life for only 24 hours. Great to hear that Pillars of the Earth is standing up well on the reread. I look forward to you and Madison chatting about King!
I just started. I don't have an opinion yet, besides the language. It was written in a different time. I'm a slow reader, so will probably take me 2-3 months.
I’ve been watching your channel for years, but I did not finish wheel of Time until this year, so I am one of those ones that goes back and watches the spoiler filled reviews of wheel of time, I love them, thank you for doing them
I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Shogun. I had some struggles feeling engaged in the middle of the book, but it had one of my favorite endings that balanced that out! It has very readable prose, so you could probably breeze through it if you connect to it. Salem’s Lot is such a great slow burn!
I too am reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King as a tribute to the 60th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination. I am half way through and it is probably one of the best King books I have read so far. Glad to hear you are feeling better, Mike. Keep doing what you're doing and we'll keep watching and hitting that thumbs up button.
Love this time of the year. Something exciting about it. On page 200 in Pillars!! Love the story!! You could be drawn and quartered during this time period-no joke. I love it 😂 Falling asleep to someone reading...how perfect is that ❤. I plan to dive into the Expanse series in 24- really excited. I depend on you to provide me new series. I don't always like your recommendations, but it's fun to try new things. Baileys in the coffee is the way to roll. 🎉 Cheers y'all!
MIKE!! A few months ago you asked who we might recommend you interview (as in other content providers). There are 2 I thought of that I'd love to see. The first is Cameron Chaney of Library Macabre and Amy McCaw of Amy McCaw. They are both Buffy fans and independent authors. Each have had a few books published besides having their own channels. I hear a lot about Discworld being a collection of standalones that you can read in any order. I agree to some extent, but I think you should read the mini-arcs in pub order. Imagine Jay Kristoff writes his own version of Needful Things 😄
I trust Sony more than any other. They know what they doing and they are the only ones to make spider man movies good. They keep marvel from making them woke trash and that’s important. Ghostbusters was great too. Uncharted is one of my all time fav games ever and I say the live adaptation was great so you’re wrong there haha
We don't need a Salem's Lot remake. the original is fine the way it is. Hollywood is LAZY remakes and reboots or franchises is all they know how to do.
I almost did not Start reading empire of the vampire because of the very 1st Review in goodreads where she describes all sorts of horrible things that happened to every single female character in the book But seeing your review and several other good reads reviews I decided to read it and I discovered she basically lied About the books content cause I'm halfway through it and I've seen almost none of the things she claims are in there
I’ve been planning to start a UA-cam channel, I’d love to do a Stephen King Palaver because I’m a massive King fan! I can let you know when I start my channel!
Oh, man. Thanks for the answer, that sounds reasonable enough. He is kind of going deep on those characters more than he usually does.@@mikesbookreviews
Live Action and by the producer of Venom and Morbius movie. I think the project is doomed, maybe the name itself will sell the movie but im sure it will be trash.
Zelda cannot and will not ever work as a movie. Especially as a live action. The animated Mario movie worked (from what I've heard, haven't seen it yet) but Mario also has next to no plot and is pretty absurd compared to Zelda. I hate to say it but I hope it stays in development hell and never gets released.
Nintendo letting Sony take on a Zelda film? Isn't that company one of their biggest gaming competitors, ie Playstation? Sony: heh heh. We have the rights to Zelda. Now, our plan to ruin its influence can come to pass. Heh heh.

Didn't get a whole lot of reading done this week, just came back from puerto rico vaca but I am about to wrap up Chuck Wendig's Black River Orchard.
I think you'd like that book. Imagine Jay Kristoff writes his own version of Needful Things 😄
Hey I got that same shirt
My man
It's The Lies of Locke Lamora for me. And I think I like it slightly more than you do 😉
I trust Sony more than any other. They know what they doing and they are the only ones to make spider man movies good. They keep marvel from making them woke trash and that’s important. Ghostbusters was great too. Uncharted is one of my all time fav games ever and I say the live adaptation was great so you’re wrong there haha
I’d really like to hear your opinion on invincible
Mike have you heard of Jim Butcher The Cinder Spire series he got two books in it .
Where can I find this specific edition of Pillars of the earth?
How about them Texans Mike!
CJ is so fun to watch.
We don't need a Salem's Lot remake. the original is fine the way it is. Hollywood is LAZY remakes and reboots or franchises is all they know how to do.
It’s never had a movie made. Only 2 TV miniseries.
Im reading 1984 and having a hard time with it.
I hope they cast Link a little older at least a guy in his 20s. I really don't want a little kid as the main character. JMO
Also, I’m so not looking forward to a live action Zelda movie. Animated would be wonderful. And will Link talk? Hmmm…
Don’t eat out in San Antonio. You’ll know the true meaning of food poisoning.
Mike, are you protesting Holly? Genuinely wondering.
Nope. Just not really interested in a 6th Holly story.
Oh, man. Thanks for the answer, that sounds reasonable enough. He is kind of going deep on those characters more than he usually does.@@mikesbookreviews
Where did you get that Stark shirt?
Mike it’s 4am how you doin
I hope that was only a red flag!
Heh heh.
