Natalie so glad your doing the Quilting 101. This is a much needed education for everyone but newbies have no place to see the basics !!! Great job! Please keep doing them!!!
Thank you for the new tutorial Natalie! I liked your tip on releasing the blade and keeping all the pieces in order. I know a couple of times I wondered if I got the washer in the right place.
Thank you Natalie! A perfect lesson so necessary for a quilter wanna-be like me. I watch the Missouri Star Company videos and those posted by two other quilting families. I love every one you make and one of these days I am going to make my first quilt. My mother, grandmother and aunts made such beautiful quilts and those given as gifts to me, I cherish. Now that they have all passed away and are no longer here with us the desire to carry on the tradition is alive and well within me. Thank you so much for sharing your experience, knowledge, talent and enthusiasm. Not only do I love learning from you, your sister and your Mom; I always feel a little less homesick for my family matriarchs while listening to the three of you have fun together and enjoy the process of teaching your subscribers. 💖 Natalie you look so adorable in your pretty yellow blouse. I can't help but wonder if you sew clothes too. I also just love the show that you three ladies are on together. I love the quilts you make and the diversity in finished looks...every single quilt turns out beautifully!
So glad you’re back to giving us tutorials ! You’re a wealth of information! I wish I had your quilting brain! Love it when you, Misty and your mom do the triple plays!!!! Love, love, love MSQC!!!! Keep up the great work losing weight! You look wonderful!
Thanks for the tips on blade replacement. More importantly, you look fantastic. I was worried about you for awhile, but it seems things are looking up for you. You're blessed to have so much family and support.
Thanks Natalie. Great information You look adorable. I love the gingham shirt. You need to tell us where you shop. Don't tell anyone, but you are my favorite at MSQC and BLOCK 🐞
This was great. I learned a lot. Thank you Natalie. You are doing so well. I've been trying to lose weight as well. You've been more successful then I. I've lost 25 pounds. Thanks for inspiring me to sew, & lose weight to be more healthy. 🚶🏊🚴👼🦞🏞️🐟🌄🐳🫐🍎🥗⛵🏕️ Living in Maine, & hoping to visit Missouri Star Quilting Company ✴️ one day. 💙💜🧡❤️💛💚💖😄
Thank you Natalie! I am new to quilting (learning from you all mainly!) and really had no idea what the difference was between cutters and what the different ones are used for. Thanks again for teaching me 😊
Thank you, Natalie! I need to check out the wavy and pinking blades. This is a great reminder to keep the other hand away from blades-I've nicked myself a few times
Thank you Natalie & MSQC! You're wonderful! I've learned so much from MSQC in my short time as a quilter. Thank you for that & all of your encouragement. My dream is to visit y'all at MSQC - or maybe you'll visit Florida again! Now that would be the cat’s meow!❤
Wow! I never realized there were so many different rotary cutters. Thank you for all the information. You are looking wonderful! Thanks again for thr information. I do have a question. On thr heavy duty cutters, for denim toe materials, do they require thicker blades? What makes them heavy duty?
Good morning Mrs. Natalie this video was great I didn't think about closing the blade I bet that makes it dull. I learned some things today thank you. I was wondering and a hoping would you be doing a video on maybe Wednesdays we have one on Mondays and Fridays it would be soooo awesome to have one of you on Wednesdays. I know you ladies are very busy with all you do I can tell you there would be a lot of people in Tn watching 👀. Can't wait to come out to Missouri we're trying for September fingers crossed
It was helpful for me to see other options to the 45. I've had the same kind since 1996. Lol I did come across a blade that didn't work with my cutter. It had three holes that had to be used with a cutter that had accommodations for those holes. Thankfully they were easily returned.
I have that small yellow (I think it's an olfa, may well be a knockoff) and I think it might be destined for the bin. Every time i open it to cut the blade sinks so far down towards the handle it's pretty much useless. Any tips? Have played with how tight it's screwed on, how i'm holding it etc, just at a loss. Discovered playing with my really tiny 18mm one today that it really needs to be held upright and really excels in freeform cutting. Love my 45 mm olfa but my current favourite is my 21mm clover, great for small piecing.
I love my Olfa ergonomic rotary cutter, it can also be used for right or left handed people. I just wish it came in red. 😆 Yes, be careful of your fingers. I cut the tip of my finger off and had to go to the ER to get it cauterized to stop it from bleeding.
I had to keep pressure on the side tip of my finger, & drive myself to the ED as well. The doc just asked 1 questiin: "was it a new blade?"..a fellow quiltmaker, toi! Then she applied the small amount of chemical cautery substance needed... I YELPED....not knowing the immediate closing of the blood vessels would HURT ! Retired RN... hmmm.gotta learn something daily... that education is still with me, 14 years later.
Both of my rotary cutters loosen up while being used. I am constantly tightening the screw. Does anyone else have this problem? I have both Olfa and Fiskar cutters and they both do it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Okay gorgeous. It’s no secret…you know your quilting stuff! And it’s no secret you’ve “downsized” considerably. The secret is how? If my question crosses the “too personal line” or just plain ole “none of your business”, please forgive me, but I can’t help myself. Inquiring minds just want to know. Was it a much deserved miracle…lol…or did you have to work at it…and if so…how?!?

Your videos are so nice. And by the way you are looking so fantastic! You’re shrinking 😅 🎉👏👏
When you cut up to your ruler, are you straight up and down or on an angle? I wish you would have cut with some.
You look great
Do you sell the blade savers? Did not realize Jenny was a southpaw...yahooooo👍👍👍things aren't designed for lefties so it's a learning curve for us
I know this is off topic, but…I love your top, could you share where to find it or what brand it is?

I use the pinking blade on the edge of yardage I’m going to wash. Keeps the fraying to a minimum
Hi
Yay!! Natalie! I am amazed with your weight loss... want to share the secret to your success? I love all your videos.
