What a shame that most of us teenyboppers in the early 60s were listening to the fluff of pop music (we loved it then, and we love it still) but were relatively unaware of the talents of these two wonderful entertainers. I was fortunately aware of Joe and Eddie and thank goodness for that!
Goosebumps! This is part of what I love about UA-cam. Been a fan since jr high mid 60s, never got see them live, so I'm grateful for the opportunity. (Once also in the 60s I saw a concert that sounds odd but they made it work: Dave Brubeck opening for Peter, Paul, and Mary, with one collaborative effort between them. (Peter Yarrow: "Since it's a combination of folk and jazz, should we call it 'fazz'? If it's a combination of jazz and folk, dare we call it 'jolk'?"
Thanks so much for posting this! Video of Joe & Eddie performing live is so scarce! I’ve watched this several times since I found it a few weeks ago. This is one of my favorites of their songs, too! And I also love Danny Kaye! ❤️
Big fan of Danny Kaye also. I know it was their slot, but having seen him duet with Louis Armstrong on "When The Saints, etc" it would have been cool to have him join them.
Love Joe and Eddie!! So underplayed and underrated. Beautiful men and great talents!
Fantastic. Thanks Rhiannon Giddens for putting me onto this song.
My parents played this all the time and over time I grew to love it
Listened to them since the 60’s. Still speechless every time they sing!

I also really enjoy their music, thanks for the comment.
How does this not have more views yet?! I don’t get it!!
Wow!!!! Such a great arrangement and they sing it like they own it! Keep posting these.
I mean this is insanely amazing. Period.
Why hasn't this great music been made available on CDs for a non-vinyl generation?. These guys are superb.
It is unfortunate, they were great. I have all of their music in LP, would be great to have CD's. Thanks for the comment.
This is great! I am so glad that you have this on UA-cam. Superb singing. I watch this video often. Thank you for posting this. 😀
I have this episode on VHS. In my opinion, this was the best part of the whole hour.

@@colombecote I love that one too!

So I discoverd my own door . . . into jazz music. Music with swing, harmony, rhythm, drive and a message. Next came Louis Armstrong. :)
Are you familiar with Lambert, Hendricks And Ross? I'm guessing you would like them also.
Just terrific!
Wow! Another wonderful recommendation from Rhiannon Giddens!
So, so good
