  • From Vishwaguru to NaitikGuru: The Ethical Dilemma of Global Leadership
In the rich tapestry of world history, nations rise and fall, each imprinting its philosophical and cultural nuances on the global psyche. The U.K. of the 19th century and the U.S. of the 20th stand out as two monumental 'Vishwagurus', or world-teachers, each bearing a legacy of global influence but also grappling with the moral conundrum of what it means to be a true 'NaitikGuru'.
The British Empire: The 19th Century Vishwaguru
**Colonial Expansion**: The sun famously never set on the British Empire. With colonies spanning continents, the U.K. showcased unparalleled naval prowess and administrative acumen.
**Cultural Diffusion**: English became the lingua franca of business and diplomacy. British literature, art, and education took roots in distant lands.
**Economic Domination**: The Industrial Revolution, centered in Britain, changed the global economic landscape, giving rise to modern capitalism.
However, the Empire's vast reach wasn't devoid of its shadows:
**Colonial Exploitation**: The economic benefits were often one-sided, leading to exploitation of the colonies.
**Cultural Imperialism**: Native traditions were sometimes suppressed in favor of British customs.
**Famines and Displacement**: Policies led to tragedies like the Irish and Bengal famines.
*The American Century: The 20th Century Vishwaguru*
**Economic and Technological Surge**: Post World War II, the U.S. became a beacon of innovation and economic resurgence. Europe's rebuilding, aided by the Marshall Plan, bore testimony to this.
**The Clarion Call of Democracy**: America's voice echoed in global corridors, preaching democracy and human rights, further amplified by institutions like the U.N.
**Cultural Magnetism**: Hollywood, Rock & Roll, and Silicon Valley - America's cultural exports were second to none.
Yet, America too had its moral quandaries:
**Dancing with Dictators**: The Cold War saw the U.S. sometimes back autocratic regimes, sacrificing ideals for strategic gain.
**The Scars of War**: Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan - wars that questioned America's moral compass due to civilian casualties and controversial justifications.
**The Puppeteer Elites**: Behind the scenes, a nexus of political and economic elites influenced policies, often sidelining ethics.
    *The Quest for the NaitikGuru*
Both the U.K. and the U.S., in their respective eras, bequeathed the world with philosophical wisdom. Yet, the essence of a NaitikGuru - a beacon of moral and ethical guidance - often seemed elusive. The true challenge for any global leader, past or future, is to strike a harmonious chord between power and principle. For in this balance, lies the essence of true leadership.

Both the U.K. and the U.S., in their respective eras, bequeathed the world with philosophical wisdom (Democracy, Human Rights, etc.).
Yet, the essence of a NaitikGuru - a beacon of moral and ethical guidance - often seemed elusive (Iraq War, Syria, Vietnam, Afghanistan).
The true challenge for any global leader, past or future, is to strike a harmonious chord between power and principle. For in this balance, lies the essence of true leadership.
Hopefully, India will become a Naitik Leader in times to come. What happened in G20 was indeed, Naitik.

Even after this G-20 , his focus was more on how much Indian government spent and how it was unnecessary and how the indigenous problems of the country was hidden rather than focusing on it's successful completion and highest number of declarations signed.
He was constantly sharing news articles in Telegram group of ₹4200 Cr. Spent and arguing it to be waste of money .

But, after making it here it feels like I am disconnected from where I want to be which is India. Don't get me wrong I am very fortunate for the experience I got here, but I want to work for my country in the near future. I don't want to crack no exam, I don't want to chase some fancy title or be anyones boss. I just want to do my job for the country that has given me so much, my family, culture, values, and love. I am also tired of the polarity these days, where people feel the need to subscribe to an idea so emotionally that there is no critical discourse that we truly need.

Edited: I mean Bhutan is known for the peace but in India's case it can't only rely merely on the peace & ethics but with ethics we have to show our power also. Like Bhagwan Shri Ram also known for naitikta but at the end they had to show their strength also. Otherwise others take our naitikta for granted. India's G20 is like the beginning of Ashwamedh Yagya, in which who ever trying to stop us we will teach a good ethical lessons to them in our way. For any global event, cities go through these beautification processes be it sports or political events. Some of it is permanent and some not.
Should we really be so critical of our own intentions to make events successful?
It is certainly our duty to lift the living standards of our people and this is going to be a long process and we should not lose focus on that.

Gandhi's principles of non-violence might struggle in a situation like the Russia-Ukraine conflict, where there is a significant power imbalance. Non-violence is more challenging to apply effectively between parties with such stark differences in power.

A clearly neutral perspective. By the way, I guess you misundertood the word vishwaguru. India is trying to project itself as the guru of the world as it was before in terms of knowledge and ideas! Not a leader.
However, I am strongly of the opinion that India doesn't need to project itself as the vishwaguru. Let the world project us like that. We must do what we must in the best way possible and keep hustling. We don't need to pretend and project in the first place.

Well interesting but with India's rise we can see the from these ex colonials and imperilaists indulging in extreme Hinduphobia against India, so peace and love is good but as what Alexander the not Great faced when trying to conquer india was Kshatriya power to make him turn around and run. So yes peace backed by muscle power as spoken in the Gita will make India a real superpower .

How can we become a Vishwaguru as long as we have fault lines like Hindu-Muslim, casteism (both constitutional and unconstitutional), xenophobia as our baser instincts? Our elected leaders are exploiting our divisions, poor remains poor, uneducated gets math teacher scoring 0 in entrance, rape accused gets landslide victory in their constituencies, CM’s son calls for eradication of majority, PM preaches badle ki aag to Dalits, another CM runs bulldozer for every other crime. Vishwaguru is a far cry. We lack basic Naitikta. It’s all a game. Sad.

Bulldozer model has proven to be successful. Riots are down significantly and crime according to NCRB has been lowest since 2013. UP is indias fastest growing state economy with 19% growth. You see Bulldozer model might be illegal, tbh it *is* illegal, but it works. And most indians want things which works, not things which are legal. Bulldozer model has been effective in taking down riot rates and has instilled fear in minds of gangsters. Fear is a very good deterrent your see. And tbh anyone who has actually seen UP before yogi rule will definitely agree that yogiji has massively improved it.
Also you yourself said rape accused, and accused are innocent as long as they aren't proven guilty. As simple as that. Xenophobia is a form of aversion to foreign people and items which is good considering how many times India has been invaded. Healthy level of Xenophobia is good for society and indian levels of Xenophobia are perfectly healthy

@@WojtekTheBear2005 Plenty of illegal methods can work, still they are illegal. And the biggest problem with resorting to such methods is that they’re all double edged swords. Fear indeed is a great deterrent. The fun part is, India has enough laws to instil that fear among criminals. Instead of abiding by those, we cheer for bulldozers ramming into houses. When the opposition comes to power, they will run bulldozers too. This time, it’ll be on an innocent’s house. Rule of Law must not be compromised. Or else you’ll find scapegoats and imposters in uniform in abundance. Take Hyderabad rape case as an example.
And I don’t believe bulldozer has got anything to do with economic growth. UP has grown economically because of the Yogi govt.’s exemplary performance in various economic advancements. Gaadi palat jaana ya bulldozers chadha dena ain’t any of those.
How can xenophobia, irrespective of the intensity, be healthy? How do you find Biharis or UP people being called names in Southern states healthy? How does mongering hate against Hindi speaking Indians in TN or K’taka feel healthy? I don't think that G20 was such a grand forum. But including African countries in this forum is a really good ethical gesture. However, given the past record, I still have a hunch that this too has some political gain somehow. Maybe just to show how big this G20 forum is?
Also messing up in G20 would have been inconsequential. The world runs on business only. Even after so many bans on China, the US and China are still doing business with each other.
You may be a mass murderer or rapist or swindler, but you can bring in the business, you are always welcome (Harsh but true)
If we have more products that we can provide cheaply and same quality, these nations will make even an Indian Forum just to have business with us.

There is no meaning of being superpower. Instead of that India should be a place where priority of government is to provide good life to their people I do not mean that India should not focus on the competitive world scenarios, India should also keep an eye on what’s going on in the world who are our enemies and we should strengthen our self to deal with the global threats against India and we should focus on our defence as well but we should not blindly, run into becoming a superpower and an most superior country state we should first instead we should first prioritise a good life of our people. Becoming superpower or becoming a Vishwaguru are just bullshit to lure the masses.

To be heard above the narrow minded party and ideology based squabbles, people like him end up giving wrong impressions. What is wrong is wrong even if someone else is doing it. He tries too hard to be neutral which sort of misses the point. In one of his videos he called Ravish Kumar as a government hater which is not true. Ravish is no longer an investigative journalist thanks to Adani hut he's still shrieking about the wrongs he sees without being apologetic. Naman's videos lack that free spirit

We have a been country since independence then why havent these achievements happened before and only happening now?? Again you go around showing them as bad! Some of them are! For sure …but before this there was never a response to the violence that was happening against india!! Just like how when one’s achievements are not recognized they are discouraged the previous governments never showed strength despite having it……. When someone slaps you this is not the time to show other cheek, this government belives in that! Just like how the government is criticized when they do a mistake in the same way they need to be applauded for their achievements and be recognized for ,what they have done for the country no other government has ever done before!! And also criticize the opposition when they hurt the countrys image saying bad about the countries achievements in important forums!!!
