Update: We're excited to announce the launch of a Free video series on International Relations, where we’ll explore key concepts like Soft Power, Realism, Functionalism, the United Nations, and the International Economy. Follow the series on UA-cam and dive deep into these essential topics. Stream all episodes now at: www.misfits.bet *** To anyone demanding "solutions": Here’s a solution-wake up, pick up a book, and take a hard look at the issues we’re facing. Imagine having to spell out to grown adults why divisive politics is harmful, or why development matters more than pandering to caste or religion. In a country where politicians routinely exploit our differences, asking people to think rationally and prioritize progress over pettiness is more than just a civic duty-it’s a national service. If you still need this explained to you, maybe the problem isn’t a "lack of solutions," but a shortage of critical thinking. Real change doesn’t need endless hand-holding; it needs people willing to stand for accountability, unity, and development without needing a step-by-step guide on what’s plainly common sense. For those engaging in whataboutism-asking why we haven’t covered issues like Hindus in Bangladesh, Mamata Banerjee in Bengal, or Rahul Gandhi’s divisive politics-take a look through our channel. We’ve addressed these topics and more in previous videos. 1. Hindus in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan : ua-cam.com/video/iflvxr1udqc/v-deo.html 2. Fraud Behind Congress Government in Telangana : ua-cam.com/users/shortsVs4E53fAK3Y 3. Mamata Banerjee in Bengal : ua-cam.com/users/shortsyPHvVXZz-gk 4. ua-cam.com/users/shortsugPuxKxg9Qo And there are many other videos. Stop justifying political parties with endless whataboutism. This is not about picking sides-it’s about choosing the future of our nation over petty distractions. If you’re truly invested in the betterment of our country, start acting like a citizen, not a party loyalist. Look beyond party lines, beyond excuses, and beyond the convenient blame game. Be a spokesperson for the progress, unity, and accountability that India desperately needs. The time for deflection is over; the time for action is now.
@naman one of the big things missed is the number of tech support scams done by Indians in the west, stealing billions from elderly Americans. The sheer number of scammer videos on UA-cam makes Indians look like Low level dishonest and third grade people.. worth exploring
What I learned from this video is that the problem is not with the government, it's with the people of India in general. The government is just a representative of common Indians.
Exactly......I agree with you we ourselves have put down our country's name in foreign lands.....but the sad part is the government is least bothered to correct any of these all they care about how to secure their seats and to be very honest in India it very easy you jst have to project an image that's it
I completely agree and I think naman has said this before , we have done this , we as a people chose such leaders , It’s our fault afterall , if we demand for the right things the leaders will have to enforce that
Exactly !! While I understand the "defence" against internal and external enemies and dealing with communal appeasement, where BJP does a damn good job BUT If the other aspects are compromised, I don't know if, as a nation, overall we are winning or losing 😢

Bangladeshi here who also studies geopolitics and IR for fun, tuning into see this amazing conversation was a treat for my anxious heart! I agreed pretty much all the points you made. One perspective I wanted to share after hearing you in 16:50, is that since our Monsoon Revolution happened and Killer Hasina fled to India, I was looking forward to seeing how the Modi govt and Godi media handle this litmus test that suddenly appeared in India's doorstep! I wouldn't say I was optimistic per say, given India's track record with BAL- but I certainly had better expectations. But after 100 days since Killer Hasina fled, the constant barrage of incredible unprofessionalism from various Indian news outlets and very bizarre comments made by certain extremist BJP politicians have disappointed me so much that I flinch every time a new occurrence takes place. I don't know if people will grasp the gravity of my disappointment with the way Indian govt+media have been acting, since my own grandmother is of Indian ancestry, I have roots in West Bengal. I deeply care about the people of India, yet being so violently let down by my neighbor who once helped my people in our quest for freedom, feels like a loud slap on my face that left an inerasable mark. My trust in India's diplomatic prowess is broken. People here are deeply suspicious of Modi govt, rightfully so and the constant propaganda against our Revolution is not helping. Add with it the fact that Killer Hasina is still being protected by Modi, while she- an illegal political refugee in India- continues to spew hatred from Delhi- is beyond surreal. We're trying to carve out a better future for us over here. Democracy or death, no questions asked. We will die a thousand more deaths if that's what it takes to truly bear the fruits of our Revolution. Children as young as 3 yo have been slaughtered by Hasina's pet terrorists, college kids have been mowed down by armed police vehicles, unarmed Abu Said stood bravely with his armed spread while cops shot him down like a pigeon, 20K+ injured, 2K+ martyred... I don't think Modi understands that we just had our very own Tiananmen! Anyway. I expect India to pull her shit together and make amendments with the PEOPLE of Bangladesh, not the Fascist war criminal who literally is hiding in your land like a coward with her tail tucked between her legs. India MUST do better, or she will become obsolete. I will always love the people of India, but my Goodness, if y'all truly care about democracy you must elect BETTER politicians to represent you.
No matter who their leader is, their foreign policy remains the same, reflecting the mentality of their government, opposition, and the general mindset of the people.
These words will not change them at all. Even the most liberal and pure political parties in India, even if they come in power by chance, their policies towards Bangladesh and Pakistan will remain same. So, it's our responsibility to counter all their big brother dominance attitude and make our state foundation and other institutions stronger, so they can't capture our institutions like before during Hasina's regime. Lastly bhai, to expect India being a true friendly neighbour towards us is like " din e dupure shopno dekha", nothing else
Excellent n befitting reply. We must be vocal about India's althrough negative role n attitudes to our recent uprising by the students n people to oust fascist Hasina. As a neghbouring country Indian relations confined only to Hasina not with the people of this country. Strange?
It is India's misfortune that no revolutionary politician has come till now, and no such politician or political party has been exist till now. Indians should have to learn moral and ethical values first.

That said, you’re free to follow whomever you choose-at least they provide hints about where mainstream media or the government wants your attention, which you can then choose to critically analyze or conveniently ignore.
Isn't it these country's own political turmoil created a bad situation for india, take for example maldives whose own minister posted racist stuff, then comes to srilanka who is facing economic crisis and political crisis then comes pakistan we were nice to them until they attacked us then china our all time rival, not blaming them obviously. its not only the Government to blame but the opposition as well because they failed to raise and highlight causes in election, they failed miserably in debunking when ruling party potrayed them as caste politics party, and they they potrayed themselves as anti caste party, they villianized the Muslims and freebies did the rest of the work to get votes, and here we are in country with taxes like western countries and infrastructure and facilities like sub-saharan countries
do you even know what is the most prior threat to the country right now??? you talking about all the problems inside the country, but what about to the country from outside? USA attacking economy of india, making canada attack india reputation, making bangladesh anti-india, pakistan and bangladesh are together now, you know these things are happening not because that modi government is doing something wrong, but because they were always ready to do this with all government who are are not puppet of them like congress, when congress was in government congress were puppet of USA, they were managing india according to USA so it will benefit USA economy, there is lot of things to consider than just what you see or hear

During 1971 war also large population of Hindus returned to India. That is way minority population in Bangladesh decreased.
I agree with some of your points but the fact is that Canada did give shelter to khalistani terrorists and separatists, Germany did comment on our domestic politics and talked about soft power India was stereotyped in the world with curry and Bollywood, and they made more jokes on Bollywood than anything else. We should focus on our strategic autonomy rather than taking commands from Western powers who treat India like a colonised nation.
@Knowmore55555 Giving shelter to terrorist organisation and giving asylum to a leader of Bangladesh who was overthrown in a military supported coup are two different things. Know the difference.
@Knowmore55555 When so called your people are killed, that is definitely not India' s concern because it is a domestic matter of a foreign country. Also Bangladesh can take their illigal immigrants along with Sheikh Hasina and we don't care.

Haha.. that's true. Every social media person gets controlled by view and their audience eventually. He is liking people comments who are calling other's andhbhakt. Now a days saying one good thing about country is hard because people instantly tag you with this.
Problem of india is the low esteem of its population. For thousands of years india suffered foreign rule. Foreign ruler treated indians almost like slaves. Even though india got freedom but the slave mentality they are still carrying with. So every bit of silly win, every bit of bully to small neighbours considered as massive victory to them. Unfortunately low esteem prevents a nation to comeout of jealousy and lack of innovation. Political party like BJP exploits this low esteem. Thats why modi is viewed as a symbol of power and strength which is far from reality.
This entire video is about soft power. Soft power is something developed countries should worry about. India should be the last country to worry about soft power. Just because foreigners think we are peaceful and hardworking won't make us that. Why do we crave western validation so much??I'm not saying soft power isn't important.. It's just that we have wayy worse problems. Even when India's soft power was "good", it's not like life in India was actually better. They just had a better impression of us.
I don't agree with everything you say. What happened with the German minister was indeed misbehavior and what Modi ji did while giving the trophy to Australia was also misbehavior. But what you are saying about Canada, Bangladesh,And in the relation with Maldives, I think EMA's stand is absolutely right. This happens every now and then, anyone says anything and then comes to decide the relation and why are you desperate for relation with Pakistan? We know that BJP is not perfect but you are wrong on the foreign policy of Dr. S Jai Sankar. He is also wrong on labour export. But apart from this what does India do? You don't innovate, you don't provide permanent jobs, you don't pay salaries. Why do people stay here?
Have you seen any Foreign Minister from any country, previous and present - behave with arrogance, aggressive, abrasive, bold and bluster - like our EAM? EAM should represent our country with finesse, dignity, respect and compassion. I feel ashamed to be an Indian whenever the EAM acts this way. The sad part is - the Indian people think that such behavior is appropriate and patriotic. Shame on us.
I agree, its good that people question the govt and we must hold it accountable for things that are not going right in our country but the basis mr naman used that hate and outspoken leaders are maligning India abroad is hilarious. Kaunsa jhanda gaad diya tha peaceful banke jb 26\11 hua tha aur humare soft power ne kuch bigaad diya terrorists ka? Kya jhanda gada tha jb Pakistan se roz cease fire violation hote the aur bomb blasts hote the? Naman ji ye zarur bataenge ke Nepal is getting away from us but he won't speak about the political turmoil that has been going on in Nepal, is your softpower and bollywood going to change that? Talks about Bangladesh like Indians were the reason that toppled Hasina's govt. And what soft power is going to change for us anyway? Does he want cringe bollywood songs to be played when Justin Trudeau comes to India? Or does he want to do "kadi ninda" if ever a next 26/11 happens just like previous ministers did? He's focusing on export of workers but does he realise how many Indians have actually worked in west Asia? It has been decades that people from India have been doing maligning jobs in Arab nations but why is it wrong now that people are going Israel or other places as unskilled workers. This whole point of Indians going out as unskilled workers is idiotic just look how our intellectual engineers keep scamming elderlies in west does that skilled workforce in India gives us credit for good global citizens? But he won't point at these things because his whole video is based on a rant. And you may remember or not but India has witnessed such idiotic EAMs like SM Krishna who read Portuguese ministers' speech in UN. But again we have problem with Jaishankar because he's too assertive and only his speech is making India look bad on world stage and geopolitics. Ab Naman ji apne students ko kya padhate hain ye to nahi pata lekin videos ko karara or spicy touch jarur dete hain. Anyways I respect and agree with him to major part but sometimes he overdoes it.
I will agree on most of things you speak on the topics but I feel even you too dont have any solution or broad perspective on most of the the things which you speak in every videos. in the end it feels like you are just making a blank comments or Generalised statements, just like these politicans which are not actionable or any useful. With respect, since you had worked in the system, I wish in every videos, instead of just pointing out issues in the society, you can putout solution based actionable videos which might inspire people for change. your videos just feels like activism without proper goal to achieve. which is the same thing many youtubers and media people will do, playing with short dopamine hit in the viewers mind.

There is no use of any kind of soft power unless it is backed by hard power. Soft power is an absolute myth. This guy either deliberately or maybe unknowingly (least likely) is trying to portray west as friendly, that's absolute rubbish. Has no sense of civilizational friend and foe. Western attitude towards India has always been patronizing at best and hostile at worst. Eastern Europe used to have friendly relations with India during Soviet era, largely due to our socialist past, legacy of the NAM movement and Indira Brezhnev friendship. Israel had good relations because historically we have been a place which never persecuted jews. Only nations where we were perceived as land of wisdom, were Eastern Asian regions like China, Japan, Korea, ASEAN region. With the rapid americanization of these societies, that image too, was thrown out of the window. Soviet literally used us as pawn through a couple of decades for their cold war chess against American client state Pakistan and rival communist state China. It is NOW that we have grown some spine, not enough but more than before. Canada and canadian intelligence was a direct accomplice in Kanishk bombing perpetrated by khalistani terrorists. Britain, America and Canada, all three were party in fanning this insurgency, granted that Indian political system has the highest responsibility of creating it. Nepal always used to play border card depending upon the government, same with Bangladesh and Maldives. Foreign nations used to think of India not as peaceful but a pacifist nation, which can be bullied at whim and same with Indians. You globalist SoB, you knew you couldn't influence the policy making in favour of your masters directly, so now you are trying to influence these young impressionable minds and trying to groom them right before they enter the system to create a spineless meek nation which is ready for any globalist agenda? NO, NOT HAPPENING.
A very good video that deals with the bitter reality of India today. As a person who lived long years abroad and then spent over a decade in foreign relations, can actually feel the declining respect for India abroad when I deal with foreigners today. Such videos should be made in Hindi too, so that the Bhakts realise that the real world is not what they perceive it to be.

Ah, what a passionate perspective! It’s heartening to see your admiration for hard work and results-after all, recognizing effort is crucial. Yes, Modi's tireless dedication and focus on foreign policy have undeniably elevated India's standing globally. His relentless 16-18 hour workdays are admirable, and India's strengthened international position is proof that perseverance pays off. Kudos to him for leading from the front! But, oh, how predictable the election-season dramas are! Isn’t it amusing how some folks only find their voices then-assembling a circus of critics to rant about national parties, opposition leaders, or state representatives? All bark, no bite, and yet, they wonder why they’re still stuck in the same cycle of struggle! Instead of whining, perhaps introspection could lead to solutions. Why not channel that energy into constructive criticism or, dare I say, actual action? The nation could always use more doers than talkers. Don't you think? 😉 Garbage @NamanShrivastava
Sir , you are just looking at the only negative aspects of the this government , you should look at certain positive aspects of this government. In terms of the foreign relations, I think we have one of the most capable foreign minister ever, so don’t defame our country so much by just looking the negative part of all the fields.

The basic idea of this video is this - Hey look! India was such a nice dog and everyone would pet it, call it cute names, love it when they are in a good mood but also diss it, at time violently, when they are angry. Now that this dog has taken on a more wolfish persona, the presenter laments "Oh lord! Where did the good ol' dog go? Nobody calls it cute names anymore, nobody loves it. There is only hate and hate. Why? Because the dog has learnt to hunt and anger those it doesn't particularly like. I want the old dog back."
Fact is that every country in the region is working with china including russia as well but India is working against China. After Rise of china economically,it presented perfect opportunity for india to mediate peace and solve kashmir issue with Pakistan through china. But india prefer US policy to contain china which is the same as once Pakistan sided with the US and in case of both wars US and west backed out. Same will happen to india when an all out war breaks between china and India. India has become the only country in the region who is a thorn in economic integration of the whole region. If India keep their ego aside and works with China, most of its border issues will resolve and the whole region will prosper.
Please go to the history of the conflict , the Kuki insurgents have waged a war on the state of Bharat for years , they have restarted it . Modi going to Manipur will not help as the turmoil is specifically to goad him , just like the farmers agitation .

I don't completely agree with this perspective. Of course, I have limited knowledge, and I did find the Piyush Goyal video disrespectful. However, only a few negative things are cherry-picked here to support a perspective. I have liked China's aggressive diplomacy for a while. India is trying to do something similar, but of course, within the limits of influence. I do feel the need for other countries to weigh the consequences of their actions against India. When I travel outside India, I feel more confident, and I see people's positive outlook. I do think there are other factors also associated with Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka and it's incorrect to associate only the government's foreign policy to that. Also, the relations with middle-east have improved, and Pakistan's geo-political isolation is also an achievement. The cultural aspect also I didn't agree with. Indian food, festivals etc are more popular in foreign countries. I have been following, learning, and gaining more perspective from your videos in the past few weeks, but I don't resonate with this one.

The Indian government has struggled to maintain strong ties with neighboring countries due to inconsistent diplomacy, lack of follow-through on promises, and an overreliance on nationalist rhetoric. Relations with Nepal and Sri Lanka have been strained over territorial and ethnic issues, while Pakistan remains hostile. China's growing influence in South Asia, through initiatives like the Belt and Road, has exposed India's inability to effectively counter regional power shifts.

Yes everything was wonderfull initially and now everything is getting worse . I agree with all the points in this video. In addition to that, we need to teach our citizens, especially from when they are young the concepts of cleanliness, civic sense, boundaries, hygiene etc. Citizens should work in unison with government to bring about a change. I can't think of even one major metropolitan city where the roads are clean, where traffic rules are followed and where people are considerate of each other. Everyone's selfish and wants to get their way. The day we develop a sense of community is the day we'll begin to change as a people and a nation. Hoping the government would take some steps to address these issues. Being the 3rd or 5th biggest economy doesn't mean anything if everything looks like a dump.
Outcomes of farm product can evaluated after 6 months, of pregnancy after 9 month, employees after 12 months, of large construction after 3 yrs, of a car built quality after 5 yrs,of a school after 10 yrs and of a government after 15 years approx.
The ongoing conflict in Manipur, marked by ethnic tensions between the Meitei and Kuki communities, has become a matter of national concern. The involvement of various actors, including the Indian security forces, has led to widespread speculation and allegations of conspiracy. Questions have been raised about whether India has strategic ties with the Chin-Kuki militant, especially concerning the Kaladan Project, and whether these alleged ties are influencing the current situation in Manipur. Another significant allegation is that India may have secretly trained Burmese militants, including Chin-Kuki fighters, to support the return of democracy in Myanmar. This theory posits that India, wary of China’s growing influence in Myanmar, might prefer a political system in its neighboring country that aligns more closely with its own democratic values. Such a move, if true, would be seen as a strategic countermeasure against Chinese influence in the region. However, this alleged involvement has raised concerns about the possible repercussions in Manipur. The silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the escalating Kuki militant activities has led some to speculate that India’s broader geopolitical strategies might be influencing its domestic policies in Manipur. The fear is that India’s focus on countering China’s influence could be leading to a compromise on its internal security, particularly in the northeastern states

We value friendship and understanding with our neighbors, yet ongoing issues-like border incidents resulting in tragic losses, disputes over the Teesta River’s water-sharing, and the construction of dams affecting our shared resources-are pressing. We hope for a future where humane policies and mutual respect guide us toward fair and peaceful solutions, strengthening bonds rather than creating divides.

To anyone demanding "solutions": Here’s a solution-wake up, pick up a book, and take a hard look at the issues we’re facing.
1. Hindus in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan : ua-cam.com/video/iflvxr1udqc/v-deo.html
2. Fraud Behind Congress Government in Telangana : ua-cam.com/users/shortsVs4E53fAK3Y
3. Mamata Banerjee in Bengal : ua-cam.com/users/shortsyPHvVXZz-gk
4. ua-cam.com/users/shortsugPuxKxg9Qo
And there are many other videos.

I think it’s very easy to label thr general public as andhbhakt and uneducated, which nourishes our ego as the elite educated class. However it’s extremely difficult to contextualise as to why people started worshipping a particular leader. When you are demonised for centuries and millenia, you will end up worshipping those who humanises you as a community.
Naman and his viewers - please don’t regard public as stupid and think of yourself as the enlightened ones. Logic is not linear and straightforward doesn’t exist in vacuum. The context is equally important when trying to solve a problem.
Well said

u must consider making a detailed video on these points, very well expressed!
When you consider your community more than your own family and self gain, then you are an uneducated person. Our general public is made up of idiots
You have a point there
Bangladeshi here who also studies geopolitics and IR for fun, tuning into see this amazing conversation was a treat for my anxious heart!
Well said Sara. Thanks for taking time and pointing out the biased Indian Media.

However today under the modi govt. all these things i have been happy and proud about are all crumbling down slowly but surely.
Modi talk about quantity but today the quality of India is tricking down step by step.
There's no denying corruption in the system has been one of the most primary issue in the past governments as well yet today along with corruption the govt. has totally become blind to common men's problems and making common men blind by using communal sentiments.
We talk about being one of the largest economy and strong defence sector in yhe world but what a common men is facing, our leaders are completely unaware. Its such a sad situation today.
From governance to social conditions india has drastically changed from bad to worse instead.
Only remaining is pride and prejudice.

do you even know what is the most prior threat to the country right now??? you talking about all the problems inside the country, but what about to the country from outside? USA attacking economy of india, making canada attack india reputation, making bangladesh anti-india, pakistan and bangladesh are together now, you know these things are happening not because that modi government is doing something wrong, but because they were always ready to do this with all government who are are not puppet of them like congress, when congress was in government congress were puppet of USA, they were managing india according to USA so it will benefit USA economy, there is lot of things to consider than just what you see or hear

Shame on us.
absolutely right
I agree, its good that people question the govt and we must hold it accountable for things that are not going right in our country but the basis mr naman used that hate and outspoken leaders are maligning India abroad is hilarious.

Friend, your points are correct. Thank you for speaking these out. However I suggest you Structure your talk and make it Crisp. Also, you need to Talk .... not Speak ! ... only then your communication reaches the Audience. Good luck 🎉

Then why not the president's rule till now ? The BJP government is just scared that they don't want to seem like they're a failed government in Manipur ! Well well mainland like you don't care about us so what else do we expect from you
What do you mean wage war against India when their demands are under the constitution of India? You should be more worried about Manipur base terrorist who has their camp in Burma living together with junta like PLA,UNLF and some other factions.
I do agree on taxation issues, facilities issues, and blind faith of people in the govt due to religion and all though.
Pakistan’s geo political decline is not infuenced by India but a shift in USA’s strategy in the region, correlation is not causation.

During the *covid Delta wave* when there was a shortage of medical O2 , the German Govt sent a team to build O2 plants in Delhi. We have very short memories . [ 4th May 2021 : " Germany is now sending a “massive” oxygen generating plant, which will be operated by 12 of its armed forces’ paramedics, in an effort to address the oxygen crisis in India. The team of paramedics arrived in New Delhi Saturday and will assist Indian medical personnel and experts in operating the giant oxygen generating plant. The plant will be brought in two Airbus Defence and Space A400M transport aircraft belonging to the German Air Force.
The two aircraft are scheduled to land in Delhi by the end of this week and the humongous plant will be installed at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Covid Hospital at Delhi Cantonment, which is run by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). " ]

I don't think it's India's fault if our neighbors are resentful of us. It's not India, who escalated things with China, Bangladesh, Nepal and Maldives.
Yes everything was wonderfull initially and now everything is getting worse . International yoga day was a step of 2000s and there was a AYUSH ministry for ancient Indian medical services way before 2008. There was no open defecation in those days, our exports were awsome. We had the 2nd largest mobile production records and internet was absolutely free but now inflation and stock exchange both are making people's life miserable . We need foreign validation specially of anglo saxons for our actions and in those days we were proudly standing on our grounds speaking the language which our people could understand and could evolve their own opinion about geopolitics in their own way but sadly everthing is gone now. Our Pm speaks in foreign language and he never get recognition anywhere but those days were golden time bro I got it.
Whatever piyush goyal said is arrogant to major extent. But if you say that jaishankar ji 's answer to media or to other countries are also to make reels is not right. After so long time we get someone who can stood up in front of world and speak firmly putting points which are in Indian interest without any kind of pressure it is indeed and also expected from a good foreign minister. And everyone knows how good our neighbours are. Do you expect Pakistani's to like indian just watch BBC's documentry over Pakistan's school books what they teach to their students in school and encalcate hate inside them about Indians from their school level only and what happened in Bangladesh.Rest about sending indian unskilled workers to work abroad is the debatable topic. Keeping one thing in mind that India is and was the world's top receiver of remittance since 20 years india topper this list. In 2023 india recieved around 125 billion dollars in remittance. We need to figure out some or the other way to give them jobs in india only which is for now looking very difficult.

Unbiased analysis......take country first....
Being appreciative is as important as being critical perhaps even more important otherwise everyone will get demotivated, despirited people can't achieve much. Balance of both is needed.

As Bangladeshis, we want to emphasize that our concern lies not with the people of India but with certain policies that impact us deeply.
