Thanks y'all & all new subscribers who found us today for tuning in. We had likely the best coverage I've ever been a part of in every branch-radar analysis and near-term forecasting of tornado formation, storm chaser footage and ground verification, and the Y'all Squad 501(c)(3) raising six figures of relief funds. Document this stream and its impact for future scientific efforts and historical reviews.

I've been living here in Lincoln for almost 11 years, and I haven't been in a event quite like this ever in my life. First time in my life I had that eerie feeling where I thought that I was going to die just seeing the tornado touchdown at my neighborhood. I was emotional hearing and seeing the tornado in Elkhorn as I've never seen anything like that ever. This was truly a unforgettable night, my thoughts and prayers to those who are injured. 🙏

I'm tornado-phobic. Got pulled off the ground as a child and managed to catch the side of a pool deck and flew like a flag in the wind until it passed, and that was a baby tornado. Ive been terrified since. I cannot imagine dealing with these monsters or living in an area where they are frequent. Truly hoping everyone is ok!! @WriterOfMany I was small (about 4). Didn't take much to lift me off the ground, but the feeling left me absolutely terrified of them. I don't live in a tornado prone area. We never get them, so tornadoes are never even a thought here. I couldn't imagine hearing sirens and having to go underground and then hope when we come out, the house is still there!... I don't even know how insurance works in those areas. The whole thing is a nightmare scenario from start to finish... what do farmers even do with their cattle and horse and such??

It's insane to watch stuff like this unfold live. Those cyclical cells in Iowa were wild, and the coverage y'all had was SO detailed. 6 high-quality angles on a storm is sick to begin with, but watching them *live???* 100 years ago photos of tornadoes were a rare commodity, and Ted Fujita had precious few videos to work with when he was developing his intensity scale. Now I get a nearly 360 view of a monster hand-off with radar data synced to it and analyzed in real time. Absolutely insane, and we are so lucky to have y'all. 👏👏👏
This team is an invaluable resource for people on the ground. I think the stream of this outbreak is gonna go down in history right along with the storms themselves.
I'm traveling through central Kansas tomorrow, and it's a huge comfort knowing I've got Ryan to turn to if we end up having to drive through storms. ❤

Thank you for being with us while we went through this. You kept me as calm as I could be while my family was in the basement. We, Thank God, didn't get hit but we could hear the tornado go by in the distant very clearly. 25-35 blocks to our west at the time. Then it ripped through Elkhorn. They're suffering this morning. The Red Cross is taking donations for the three cities out there that really got hit bad. Several people in my local groups lost everything. Houses just gone off their foundations in the blink of an eye. Several houses out there don't have basements. :( Not to mention the second tornado that ripped through our airport.

You guys need to bring back the old tornado emergency alert. The new one doesn’t convey how serious of a situation it is. People that could be listening to the stream and not really watching, could miss it. That new alert just blends in, when it should stand out.

This is a huge thanks from me and so many other people for the entire Hall Team. You guys seriously saved people today. I was working in Council Bluffs not far from Epply Airfield at the time but have family in Fremont, Blair, Bennington, and Fort Calhoun Nebraska. Once I heard what was going down in Lincoln I tuned in immediately. I was able to safety alert my family in Blair as well as friends who live in the smaller neighborhoods along 133. I have friends who lost their homes yesterday. Especially those along highway 75 and 133, devastating damage. Everyone I know is safe now. I took shelter along with coworkers for about 2 hours, from 3:30-5:30ish. I drove on dodge past Elkhorn on my way home and couldnt see a single thing with how dark it was, I’ve never seen Omaha so eerily dark before. I pray everyone is ok. 🙏🏼

I really appreciated your coverage of these storms yesterday. I live in Lincoln and following these chasers and radar reports helped keep me and my family safe. The tornado that hit Harlan, IA passed directly over two of my uncles homes. We also have several other relatives in the area. We were able to provide some advanced warning and notice to them because of this stream and though material things were lost, everyone survived these catastrophic storms uninjured. You are providing a truly life saving service and I cannot express deeply enough how thankful I am for you and the work that you and your team do.

Ive subbed and turned all notifications on, because I'll never again get my weather coverage without checking here first

I live in SW Omaha just 5 miles south of Elkhorn. I'm only now looking at this livestream and what's crazy is that one of the storm chasers literally drives right by my neighborhood. I was unable to get a clear view of the tornado when it happened, and so now seeing that footage of the tornado as he's driving by my neighborhood really puts everything into perspective. It's so crazy to me that that huge tornado was so close to not only my neighborhood but to so many of the people that I know in that area. I know people that lost their homes and I'm so heartbroken for them. It's a miracle that nobody died from that.
