Been a resident of Vallejo since 1993. Purchased & sold 2 properties here as well. Reminds me of what San Francisco was in the 60's & 70's with it's hills & still Navy feeling. Yes also despite critics it is the most affordable place in the SF Bay Area compared to the Silicon Valley, San Francisco & Peninsula.

Well produced video, great real images. However, they stretched one truth so much= "city is easy to work with" = All evidence points largely otherwise! Then, there was NO mention of the VPD's many law suits that's tearing the city's budget down hastily and the large public dissatisfaction with the 'old boyz" == And finally, not a mention of our Schools, facing very serious threats for survival. Having lived here 18 years and being a part of many entities, non-profits, volunteering .... I have to sadly disagree with some of the representation ... as the "White Chamber of Commerce" version (as many of my friends say often). IF they had interviewed the Fil-Am, the Hispanic, the African-American Chambers .... some downtown businesses, may be they would be more realistic and TRUTHFUL and would present other untold stories of success and diversity. However, this video gets an overall Thumbs Up from me, with a sincere suggestion to keep posting yearly updates with truth and facts. Thank you.

The city planning and regulations makes it hard to attract new business.
It’s super costly that’s many business people go somewhere else

Vallejo...great? Pssh. Ever since Mare Island closed, the City has fallen apart. Leadership is lacking. If the City would invest in Mare Island property the place might be better.

The Nimitz Group is currently revitalizing Mare Island with Film Studios through Film Mare Island, there are breweries, distilleries and much more currently available and more coming as far as development is concerned. The days of the old adage of what Mare Island used to be are coming to a close and brighter days are ahead, just have to be positive and not compare us to when the Navy was here.
