Great video! My bf and I just bought a condo in Vallejo! I was in shock at how beautiful the city was when I first saw it. We live in San Francisco at the moment, and CANNOT wait to leave, as the crime here is insane

Born & raised in San Francisco you will not regret the move to Vallejo. I've lived in V-Town since December of '93 & never regretted the move here. It is a hub to many of the surround counties. There are a lot of nice community activities & should you miss San Francisco, yes there is the ferry & County bus access to BART Crime yes still a problem here. Over the years even homeless issues have cropped up. Though as you noted quite tame compared to many other cities including San Francisco. Welcome!

As much as I love my hometown growing, it is really hard to see my family that has lived in Vallejo for 40+ years being pushed out because landlords are selling
I'm so sorry to hear that. Is there potential for your family to continue to occupy the home and have an investor/new landlord purchase it? Any possibility of your family purchasing the home themselves? They do have downpayment assistance loans and other potential programs that might be an option for them. @@ErikaMonroeSolanoCountyRealtor both families had to move already from their homes due to the timeframe, but no they are currently living in another rental and eventually are going to leave vallejo.

@@ErikaMonroeSolanoCountyRealtor we’ve looked at tons of property all over the bay, this market right now is insane, we’ve been getting out bidded like every week since I commented on this video. Sellers market right now smh, ppl are paying ridiculous prices over the appraisal.
@@kamakanani0 I am so sorry to hear that. If it's any consolation, I am starting to see a shift happening in the market. It's dependent on the house and price range but we are finally starting to see some price reductions. We haven't seen any until recently, so I think it's a sign that we are plateauing with prices. I would be happy to chat or help in any way that I can. Sorry to hear that it's been frustrating. A lot of buyers are feeling it too.

This place sucks made me enlist just to get out of that place. Goal though is to come back to the bay one day and hopefully end up in Berkeley or some suburb south of SF.

I am 300 miles away from Vallejo, I wish when you talk about the "tree-lined streets" of Vallejo, you also show it in the video. I know I can see it in Google map, but it would have been great to include footage of the street look and places in Vallejo to visit in your video. Thanks. Just ideas for you to improve, not rude comments. I am not a rude person. Keep it up and thanks for all the information too.
Thank you for the feedback Raymond! I believe I have a little footage on my "most desirable neighborhoods of Vallejo" but I will definitely keep that in mind for the next one!
Which areas have the highest rents/ best tenants? Do you still consider this a good time to buy a quadraplex in Vallejo?
Hi Craig, a majority of quadraplex options are located on the west side of Vallejo. I do see one option in Benicia as well as one on the east side of Vallejo. The rental market is projected to get stronger as the need for renting has increased (some folks unfortunately have been priced out of buying). It's a good time to buy IF you can afford the mortgage at today's rates as rents are likely to increase.
A pro is if you love roller coasters, the have discovery kingdom witch is okay, but don't ride kong

Don't worry folks, The Zodiac was only active from about 1969-1974. Vallejo & the surrounding area are completely safe now.
But then again, the killer was never caught, so....

I lived in Vallejo for decades. Wonderful Victorian homes. I knew people who were victims of or knew victims of the Zodiac. I also knew him. He was an employee of the Ace Hardware store on Tennessee Street. He was an extremely creepy guy, big and lurking. I avoided him when I could.
Well if you like cannabis clubs and taco trucks. Vallejo is the place for you. Make sure you have a really good alarm on your car, and aren't afraid of crackheads. This lady obviously doesn't live in Vallejo.
Thanks for your passionate comment. I actually DO live in Vallejo and have for the past 6 years. I personally think everything you've mentioned is NOT specific to Vallejo but occurs in every major city. Have you been to San Francisco lately? How about Oakland? I also happen to love taco trucks but I guess it's not for everyone. Cheers!

All over Vallejo. Its progressively gotten worse year by year. Don't get me wrong I love Vallejo. Born n raised but let's be real and call it what it is. Say someone that's never been there watches your video and actually goes there. I'm pretty sure their going to be disappointed. And I love taco trucks too. The one on sonoma Blvd next to where all the hookers hang out I'd the best
@@jamesmckibbin6717 I appreciate your input and your opinions are absolutely valid. Shockingly, I live in "real" Vallejo and not beautiful Hiddenbrooke. I too came to Vallejo by word of mouth, having never been before and saw the great potential, lower costs of housing, beautiful scenery and great proximity to all parts of the bay. We absolutely have our issues, just as any other city does. I've personally never felt unsafe and happen to see more positive than negative. We can continue to comment back and forth but I have a feeling we will have to agree to disagree. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!

@@jamesmckibbin6717 Well I don't live in Hiddenbrooke. Closer to what I believe is dubbed as "Old City" though for all it's good & bad, I wouldn't live anywhere else. No Vallejo's not perfect then too have seen far worse. If I felt that way would had moved a long time ago. Been a Vallejo resident since December of '93. Never regretted doing so too
