- Douglas Murray has described the horrors he witnessed in the aftermath of Hamas' terror massacres in southern Israel.
In a powerful and emotional speech, the Sun columnist spoke about visiting morgues and those murdered were being identified.
He described the Hamas terror organisation as a 'death cult' and heaped praise on Israel's response.
Israel is expected to expand its operation in Rafah in the coming days as it aims to destroy Hamas' remaining battalions and find its leaders including Yahya Sinwar.

A scene that I saw were two girls were one was sat and one was laid down in a pick up truck driving through a group of Palestinians who did not rescue these girls but spat on them they had been raped by hamas gun men. The aim of Hamas's action was to break through the unoccupied Israeli border fences in order to take Israeli hostages as a bargaining chip to secure the release of its own prisoners in Israel in a prisoner exchange.
Violent Palestinian civilians (possibly hired by warmongers) who had travelled with them committed bloody acts of violence.
And the Hamas fighters did not try to prevent this.
They thus gave Israel a reason for war. It is likely that this action by Hamas was knowingly abused by warmongers. And Hamas, which can only think of violence as a means of asserting its own interests, did not foresee or see through this coup.

At that time Arab leaders had designs on making a land grab across the entire known world. In order to accomplish that goal they needed some means to rally all the disparate Arab tribes together into a unified invading force.
Similar to what happened with Jesus, they took the legend of a minor religious leader from decades before and created a religious movement around that legend, borrowing heavily from much older religions, especially Judaism. They created a book, the Koran, defining that movement and sent out emissaries armed with that book to spread its concepts.
That was the birth of Islam, over 60 years after Mohammed’s death. This mass “religious” conversion of disparate people, often by force, enabled those ambitious Arab leaders to create the unified invading force that took over the Middle East, North Africa, present day Turkey, and much of Europe.
And the Arabs’ use of a fabricated religion to justify conquest continues to this day….

I heard a lengthy interview given by an Israeli soldier who was explaining the comprehensive training they go through as young people and I was absolutely in awe of his story. They have learned they have to be the best. I'm really proud of them. I heard and saw images from day one of the horrific, barbaric attacks. Everyone needs to see and hear what Hammas did.

Thank you to the Sun for posting this. I spent some of the happiest times of my life as a young 18 year old traveller from NZ, voluntaring at Kibbutz Haon in 1988. I fell in love with the people and their kindness and generosity. I did not want to leave. All those memories have come flooding back since October 7. My husband and I are immigrants to Israel and when the war broke out he asked me if we should as his parents were pressuring him to. I said never. I said I wish I could enlist. Since I couldn't I started EMT training with Magen David Adom, because I knew I was needed. I was already a first aid, cpr and first responder certified. We will not flee, we will stand a defend ourselves, we will fight for our survival, for our right to exist. We will always choose life.

The analogy of a flare going up and being able to see where everyone stood instantly is a good one. These civilians were deliberately targeted by Hamas for wanton murder, mutilation, torture and rape, which Hamas and Gazan civilians gleefully celebrated, which is terrorism by any definition of the term.
Where the IDF has been putting huge efforts to avoid collateral damage to Gazan civilians, warnings thru texts and fliers in Arabic. Hamas uses it's own citizens as human shields, stores and fires rockets from what is considered protected civilian facilities which are then loses their protection; Hamas steals the aid meant for the citizens ; The tunnels are for the protection of hamas only. Hamas leaves the safety and protection of their citizens for Israel to do.

The aim of Hamas's action was to break through the unoccupied Israeli border fences in order to take Israeli hostages as a bargaining chip to secure the release of its own prisoners in Israel in a prisoner exchange.
Violent Palestinian civilians (possibly hired by warmongers) who had travelled with them committed bloody acts of violence.
And the Hamas fighters did not try to prevent this.
They thus gave Israel a reason for war. It is likely that this action by Hamas was knowingly abused by warmongers. And Hamas, which can only think of violence as a means of asserting its own interests, did not foresee or see through this coup.
