I really liked the addition of non-lethal options in SE5. Some reviewers ragged on it, but when scoping out enemies distances and (somehow) getting a character history like, “16 year old soldier who just wants to go home, “ I really don’t want to pull the trigger. I almost wish I could remove that from SE4 cause you have no non-lethal options besides trying to bypass the soldier in question which always isn’t possible. I just wish there was more incentive to use non-lethal besides your own moral scruples. Like maybe you could take an unconscious soldier or officer and take them to a secluded location for interrogation. If i remember correctly I think you got more experience points for non-lethals. But once your character is maxed out, there’s no reason to keep doing it cause its just another thing that detracts from the sniping. Presumably thats why I think in the DLC missions all the soldiers character bios are all decidedly villainous. Just variations of, “He can’t wait to kill the enemy commando.”
The “I’d better move” is a glitch in coop where one character will say their line if the other gets seen. Especially Karl. And it also happens when you go back to a spot where you were seen previously.

Yeah, that’s why we split the strategy, seemed like the only way to deal with it. It seems like he had no idea we were there until Stark shot him! I’m pretty sure it’s due to bodies falling through the map. I can confirm 100% that I only used passive takedowns and non-lethal ammo, yet still got 6 kills. My theory is that any situations where enemies fall through the map and die get automatically attributed to the host, so I think that’s where my kills came from. It is also possible we didn’t move soldiers far enough away from exploding objectives.

i am incredibly late, but here's a tip! with the welrod, doing 85HP damage, if you shoot an enemy on the leg ( normal ammo) they go down, and then fall uncounscious, that way you dont even have to use non lethal ammo! Remove the baffles for the 20HP buff from 65 to 85 or go overpressure Ofc, the enemies will take time until they fall unconscious, but its a neat trick, if you're out of non lethal rounds
Great Vid, I just finished Liberation doing Non-Lethal, with the exception of the tank and kill list. it was tough at first, but then seemed to become easier to do.

I found a way to avoid unconscious soldiers from “dieing” is you move them where they can be woken up by another soldier or lure another soldier to them. A lot or work but kind of funny
Got a nat 20 roll on a co-op partner today, we did some speedruns together on Authentic with Invasion on. Completed Secret Weapons in 5 minutes and change, and afterwards Kraken Awakens in 6 minutes and change. Invaders must have been really confused as to what was happening. Really fun exercise, you should give it a try sometime. Stealth is completely out the window, it's all go no quit, bayonet highly recommended.
Nice play guys! SE5 never gets old, and creative approaches like this really help to keep things fresh. I've never really tried non-lethal in this game though, might give it try now, good stuff.

Honestly I've haven't played much since November, I've been too busy IRL. This video was recorded back in September. I'm not necessarily done with invasion videos, but they are absolutely going to be few and far between for a while. For starters its hard to get into a game, a lot of players see my name and end the mission, it seems. A few of the guys who have appeared in videos in recent months have had the same thing. Invasion videos are also where I get the most insults directed at me from viewers, so I can't say that I've really missed that aspect either! 😆 I guess it depends on having the time and finding a way to change my in-game handle to see if I can get more luck. I'm not closing the door on it yet, though. I've just got real-life work stuff to get out of the way first!

needed a stealth shooter fix and tried SC Blacklist for a bit then finally just bought this game (the base game, I am not shelling out a bunch of money on the passes till they go on sale lol). I think I am making a bad decision but I am jumping feet first into authentic lol.
If you can get used to it, you'll have a great time! If you find it tough, you can always play on a custom difficulty with the HUD and difficulty tweaked to your liking, so you can keep some of the Authentic settings, but ease up on others. Good luck!
The biggest adjustment for me going to authentic was not having the ability to tag enemies. It made keeping track of them so much harder and I definitely died a few times to getting overwhelmed at the start! Once you learn where they are it gets a lot easier :)

Yes, the invader was killed with non-lethal ammo. It works the same as lethal ammo when it comes to invaders. The schumine won’t knock an invader out like it does the AI, but it does injure them. I’ve never known a schumine to kill AI without something else explosive nearby (a tellermine or TNT, maybe an explosive box). I’ve never known a schumine to trigger carried grenades. I only put two mines down, one was triggered by the invader and the other I picked back up, so it can’t have been the mines that killed the AI. My hypothesis is that they fell through the map, which probably automatically attributes the kills to me as I’m the host. I confirmed during editing that I never fired lethal ammo or used lethal takedowns on the AI. I have had AI fall through the map and die during testing though!
Exactly what Mr. Stark said, it is my policy to protect the people who are in my videos from harrassment. I don't tolerate it and the easiest way to help prevent it is to at least preserve their anonymity. Any particularly disparaging comments also get deleted. Not everyone's name gets redacted, I do it on a case-by-case basis depending on the situation. In extreme cases, players adopting a controversial playstyle get removed from videos completely as its just easier that way.
Except Grace-Zed her acc was suspended for 3 weeks for using auto aim, the one who shot you on Conquer map. After you left. Rebellion devs really do like your gameplay apparently.
Sorry, I'm confused... she's on PlayStation, there's no way she could have an auto aim that locks on to human players. There is an auto-aim option in the game that is enabled by default if you use a controller, it only works on the AI. She pointed the camera at the window and then aimed and fired instantly when I climbed through, that's how she wiped me out so quickly. Anyone can do that?!

Some tips here when karl or Monika say lines that they should move they only say that when the AI is alerted
Don't know if its been mentioned, but you can non-lethal the spotlight soldiers if you wait for a clear shot to the head
