Thank you so much for taking the time to do these playthrough! Your riffs are in a league of its own with all the genius intricacies and rhythmic nuances. The fact so many fans still keep asking for a Sybreed reunion after so many years is a testimony to how incredible it is and how criminally underrated Sybreed was.
Sybreed's split up was one of the few that truly saddened me. I still remember discovering the band and listening to Bioactive for the first time. It completely blew me away. Antares remains one of my favorite metal albums of all time, but overall, there's not a single bad album (I still listen to them all, weekly). Sybreed was such a fantastic band with a very unique sound. Even to this day, there isn't really any band that can accomplish or recreate the sound that you've created through a decade (although Cypecore, Ben's Shadow Domain and your side project Obsydians come close, Drop). Here's hoping that we all end up seeing you guys together again. A new chapter for Sybreed would be fantastic.
Still some of the best music ever made. The fact you went after ocean machine for one riff and that could be straight off accelerated evolution is very telling in hindsight! Similar era and everything.
Drop is a very subtly technical player, very precise above all else, never showing off but instead he always is playing exactly what will serve the song. and that's why I can remember every damn riff from every album! the emotion and catharsis I can see put straight into the instrument. such futuristic music still being so groovy and organic 👏
These live play throughs are just amazing!!! Thank you for putting these out here for us Drop!!! I’ve always wanted to know how to play all of your songs from the master himself! Keep them coming
Sybreed has been a very special and influential band for many. While i truly respect the decision of the musicians not to continue with the band, i cant help but thinking how would their music sound today.
I remember seeing Sybreed years ago in Salt Lake City. I went to the show to see The Agonist during the Alisa White-Gluz days. You guys blew me away. So damn tight live.
Looking at the description write-up, damn those string gauges are mad high, even for that tuning. Its like running a set of 13s in standard tuning, holy moly! What a beast! Drop is a riffmaster who can hang with the best of them (Dino, Devin, Fredrik, Misha, etc...)
First Decoy then this one, my two favorite cuts from this album. Make Static Currents and complete the great trifecta. And thanks for these playthroughs btw
Yes Drop! Fucking love this track! Damn now you mention it, it does sound very Devin Townsend-esque at 3:21 especially with the more modern tone and production. I've always loved how melancholy and atmospheric this song sounds. Rusted or Machine Gun Messiah would be my preferences for the next but we'll see.. ugh Synthetic Breed too though.. whole album is absolute bangers. That section at 3:05 in Static Currents always struck me as sounding difficult.
The world needs more Sybreed.
God, I miss those guitar sounds.
No bands nowadays come even close to Drop's genius, and the melody sounds fresh even in 2024.
man, Slave Design was filled to the brim with bangers
It was ahead of its time
@bryanlenihan5012 definitely was. Hilarious to me how all the young ones have no idea who Sybreed is
Now that Mnemic is back, reunite Sybreed, Drop!!!
Mnemic and Sybreed tour would be sick
@@BathedInTorment AGREED. Lets see it.

One of my favourite Sybreed songs,so much emotion even only in the riffs, and when the vocals kick in its beautiful misery
We want more, mooooore,...
Huge influence on GOD writing approach. Love that you are still playing and sharing your Sybreed playthroughs. Much love and respect.

Tellement un plaisir de voir Drop rejouer ces bangers.

A very emotional track filled to the brim with heaviness and cool synths. Ben truly knocked it out of the park with those lyrics.
First Decoy then this one, my two favorite cuts from this album. Make Static Currents and complete the great trifecta. And thanks for these playthroughs btw
Pure bliss, what a wonderful vibe.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
