@@alexanderhenry9133 In the GOAT debate, that he has never actually been in, empty stats are all he has to try to make a case. His championships all have the asterisk of literal collusion to create super-teams and therefore do not have the same weight as other championships. Of recent years, Jokic and the Nuggets, along with Giannis and the bucks are the best two for "weight" of a championship. His stats are "empty" because they do not effect winning, despite what the media claims about them. If you watch a game of his, most of his points are meaningless, since he plays no defense, or they occur in garbage time. His rebounds are over-inflated as his team literally stands there so he can get the rebound. His assists are over-inflated, being credited for passing to guys that dribble half the court, go in and out of defenders and then make a layup or jump shot. LeFraud will get credited with an assist for that.
Nick Wright is a Klutch sports client! Of course hes gonna ride LBJ😂 He also helped with Tom Haberstroh's "research" on why MJ's DPOY award is invalid.
Not only is there no question that Jordan is better than LeBron, the fact that people even think the GOAT debate it is between Jordan and LeBron is dumb. LeBron and his fans should be thrilled for him to be mentioned in the top 10. By the way... Jordan was robbed of two, and probably three more MVPs and he did not whine about it.
MJ was for sure better than Lebron. No one should be arguing that fact. But you are selling Lebron short in this comment, not only is Lebron easily top 10, he is solidly top 5 and arguably top 3. 4 MVPs; 4 F MVPs; #1 all-time league leader in career points. I'm not even a Lebron fan, I just see try to see things in a fair, unbiased way. Everyone knows how good MJ was, you don't need to diminish Lebron's career to prove how good MJ was. "Thrilled... to be mentioned in the top 10" is a ridiculous take when you look objectively at Lebron's career. Depending on how you prioritize different awards, accomplishments, and statistics, Lebron's career is right up there around Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Bill Russell type guys, and the only player in history who clearly, objectively has a more impressive resume is Michael Jordan.

The more they try to discredit Jordan and prop up Lebron, the greater the pushback. I don't think it will work because we can see on UA-cam that there are now more and more videos of Jordan and people actually doing research and debunk people like Nick Wright. Remember how Rob Parker and Max Kellerman have their careers ruined when they kept on trying to say Brady was over the cliff and that he wasn't any good? The more people like Nick Wright continue to sell out for Lebron (because they are under his payroll), the less credible they will become. If they are not careful, they might have their careers ruined as well.
But if they was inflating Jordan stats all those years those Jordan really deserve to make all those defenses team? They cheated for Jordan and maybe it’s time to really look at his career.
Everyone says “Lebron was robbed of dpoy cause he lost to someone who was all defensive 2 team” but maybe Marc Gasole was robbed of all defensive 1 team

LeBum doesn’t even have a go to move. He just bulls his way to the hoop. Jordan’s footwork was so good Kobe copied it.
MJ should have 7 and LeBron should have 6. Both sides need to learn they don't need to tear down one to prop up the other. MJ clearly is the GOAT but LeBron is just as clearly second.
Questioning Jordans dpoty is a clear sign lebron fans are running out of excuses to keep him in the GOAT conversation, when the conversation should be "Is lebron a top ten player".
Jordan was like an ALIEN from another planet. He made the entire league look slow... he was so athletically superior with his physical gifts it just wasn't fair... his speed 4.3 forty, his jumping ability 48 inch vertical, his gauntlet sized hands combined with his skill set was like nothing we had ever seen. Combine that with his mentality and mindset with his love for the game and it was a wrap... G.O.A.T I don't think we will see anything like Jordan in another 100n years. Jordan DOMINATED a big mans era as a two guard, in the most physical era we've ever had along with many of the all-time greats playing in that era... the league as a whole from 84- 2003 was at its all-time PEAK with real team basketball, real fundamentals and real defensive specialist.
There's another level to this. I looked at the 2013 All Defensive Team voting, and LeBron wasn't first there, either; Tony Allen was. So LeBron didn't win the media vote OR the coaches vote, so why is he still complaining? 🤔🤔
That's a position based award and Tony Allen was listed as a guard that season. All that vote means is that Allen was better compared to other guards than LeBron was compared to other forwards. Not that the coaches thought Allen was a better defender than James.

Bron has been a lie since his rookie year. ROTY should have went to Melo. Who made his team a playoff contender. Bron didn't even make the playoffs that year
Some great points Uncut Hoops! It's frustrating to hear you say..."Even if we take away his blocks and steals..." I understand the point you are making, that even without those blocks and steals MJ was still deserving of that DPOY, but it's absolutely disgusting that a hypothetical like that has to be used in the first place, when there's ZERO EVIDENCE that those blocks and steals from his DPOY season were inflated. The only thing that Haberstroh's article proves is that the biggest majority of DPOY candidates in the 1987/88 season (and throughout NBA history) have recorded more steals and blocks at home than on the road and that Jordan's home steals and blocks in 1987/88 were marginally higher than the number of steals and blocks his fellow DPOY candidates recorded in their home stadiums. Establishing a disparity between home and road stats is NOT PROOF of home stat inflation, players generally perform better at home, that’s not unique to MJ and it’s not unique to one NBA Era...less back-to-back games, no travel, more rested, often more energised in front of a home crowd etc. The ONLY way to prove that Jordan's steals and blocks at home were inflated in 1987/88 is to analyse the video footage for ALL FORTY ONE home games and compare each block and steal on film to the official box score. That same process then needs to completed for each of the other DPOY candidates from that season, to determine if home stat inflation actually occurred and if so, was that inflation limited to just one player. That video footage (of ALL 41 Games, for each DPOY candidate) then needs to be made available for independent review. Haberstroh didn't do any of that! He eliminated THIRTY FIVE home games from his 'analysis' and the 5 games he claims he did analyse (sourced from Latvia on VHS tapes) he chose not to make that footage available for independent evaluation, so there is absolutely NO EVIDENCE that his claims are true. If Haberstroh is so confident that the footage on those VHS tapes supports his allegations, why is he withholding those VHS tapes? Until he provides ACTUAL VIDEO PROOF that can be independently reviewed, then there's NO justification for disregarding ANY of Jordan's blocks and steals from his DPOY season. Evidence matters and Haberstroh provided none.
They could start by just proving that their claims have any merit in the six games from the article. Because it's already out that in two of the games there is no discrepancy. Therefore, they should post the other 4 games so we can all see for ourselves.
@@tommydashed4205 Exactly! His refusal to make those 5 VHS games available to the public for independent review tells me everything I need to know about his 'investigation'. Apparently, there are several independent parties who have gotten hold of the games that Haberstroh references in his article. It's only a matter of time now before his allegations are dismantled. I do appreciate the irony in all of this though. Haberstroh (and Klutch) set out to invalidate MJ's 1987/88 DPOY, failed spectacularly, and instead proved that he should also have won the award in 1986/87!

When the league begins to celebrate Jordan again the ratings will go up. I don’t dislike LeBron. But, the media onslaught against Jordan’s legacy is tedious, disingenuous, and easy to see through.
The claim of inflated stats for Michael Jordan in the year he won DPOY is not logically supported. It makes the foundational claim that his home statistics were inflated because he was on the home team. Even if we grant that as true, which I don't believe we should, how much were they inflated and do we have any proof of that? How about his road statistics? Would it not at least be consistent with the previous claim to assume that his road statistics may be deflated? Why would we assume that the visiting team wouldn't get penalized in a similar way to the home team getting rewarded for this argument? If we stay consistent here and we say his home statistics are inflated by, let's just use steals, 0.3 steals per game and his Road statistics were deflated by 0.3 steals per game it becomes a wash. Again, I'm not stating that his statistics were inflated or deflated but for those who do this is the burden of proof that they bear.
Narratives don't require proof. There will be people who believe anything that confirms their already held bias no matter what. If logic prevailed when talking about people, communism would be the best possible form of government.

To be fair, LeBron has a point that the winner wasn’t even first team. That’s literally so unforgivably stupid and nonsensical, it almost devalues the award. It just adds to the circus of idiocy that comprises NBA media and voters.
Them years in Miami, Wade and Battier were the best defenders. They over-glorified the chase down blocks and he didn't average and he didn't average 1 block per game
Lebron is great, but Jordan got six rings with one team. Lebron had to jump around and try to build a super team to get his rings. Had Jordan not retired to play baseball, it's possible that Jordan could have retired with 8 rings.
Michael Jordan felt like he got snubbed for DPOY in 1988, but did Jordan cry and whine about it? No, he took it personal and went out the next year and won it
So first LeBron complains about having not won a DPOY and then Haberstroh comes out with BS claims about Jordan's defensive stats for the 1988 season to discredit Jordan's DPOY. What a coincidence.
Tim Duncan should have won that award that year but he didn't and isn't whining about it. But I bet if Duncan did win it Lebron would still whine about that.
We never seen a DPOY win with the amount of steals/blocks LBJ had combined. It would have been the lowest totals we ever seen, he definitely didn’t get snubbed.
The difference is that fans wanted Jordan to win. LeBron, on the other hand, has his hand and fingerprints all over the narratives. For a player to do something that vile is simply the lowest of the low. Jordan got his six rings before I was even born, and what was the first sneaker I asked my mom to buy me, Air Jordans. Most of my friends don't even want to wear Lebron shoes, because nobody wants to be associated with this loser of a character.
People should go watch late 80's Bulls games. Even the announcers are refreshing, they are having a good time, making fun of bad plays and little things on the court, not obsessed with making grandiose statements about every play and needing to frame everything in some super serious historic context. What sticks out the most is how little Mike actually has the ball in his hands. The ball literally never stops, you forget you're watching Jordan most of the time until theres flash drive to the hoop or he shoots a pull up within the offense. I'm telling you its refreshing, its like that for both teams, the ball doesnt stick, it puts into perspective how slow todays game is and how players like Bron or Luka or Tatum or Kyrie or Harden just suck the air out of the ball. I watched a Jazz vs Bulls game from 1990 yesterday, I don't think I saw Jordan hold the ball in the halfcourt for more than 2 seconds at a time.
It's because the rules of today favor stars playing ISO ball mixed with pick n rolls or 5 out offenses which is also a form of ISO ball where the star shoots, drive and then shoots or kicks out for an open look. If you have good shooters, 5 out. If you don't have good shooters, then pick n roll.
@@tommydashed4205 They have more freedom, player empowerment, space, and ISO opportunities and yet do far less with the ball. @jonathandepue629 its not all he has because 4 rings and 4 finals mvp's is very impressive. Its just that 4 doesnt beat 5 or 6. So he has to play the stat/longevity game to make it like he's more accomplished or better.
@@jonathandepue629 This is ridiculous. I'm not a Lebron fan, but the dude has 4 rings, 4 finals MVPs, 4 league MVPs. He went to the finals every single year from 2011-2018. He was ridiculously dominant in his prime.
We aren't talking about Russell Westbrook here, we aren't talking about Wilt Chamberlain. We're talking about Lebron James. The dude does not put up empty stats, he really knows how to win.
I think its pretty clear that Michael Jordan was a better player than Lebron, but saying empty stats are all Lebron has is a completely asinine take.
No , he cares about tryna beat Michael Jordan n the goat debate . He don’t care who’s career and legacy he has to tear down to convince people . But we the people have the power to put klutch sports and lebum n their spot .

He was absolutely robbed of multiple MVP’s.

LBJ fans and media resort to discrediting Jordan’s career. But the best thing about it is that they can have their wine . Take away MJ’s DPOY. He still has 9x all defensive teams to LBJ’s 6. Jordan also has 3x steals titles to LBJ’s 0.
The most damning of the new metrics is his clutch time playing. Jordan's is through the roof and Lebron's is a brick off the backboard.

@@J23LA24 Nash doesn't have Kobe's. He has KG's and Dirk's. Although Dirk got his back by stealing D Wade's MVP.

I remember thinking that he was definitely gonna win it like 5 years straight and nope, he only got the one when he should have had it both of the previous two years.
The truth about Kobe is that he never should have won a single MVP and is one of the most overrated players in league history. He's not even top 10 yet you have people claiming he's either the GOAT or second just because he died. The year he did win, that should have been LeBron's first. The problem with MVPs is they are narrative driven and biased. They aren't based on reality.

Kobe was the best, 03 and 06 he could’ve won MVP, the Shaq excuse is tired when Bron won with Wade and Bosh, so stop it.
LeBron is the most overrated player ever. His bag is weak, just barreling to the hoop, he can’t shoot free throws, he isn’t clutch, he has no consistent jump shot, his stats are inflated, the refs let him do whatever he wants, he stat pads and doesn’t play defense, and even with all that help he still lost 6 Finals and only won 4.
MJ should have 8 or 9 regular season MVPs. The guy was that great. There wasn’t another player close to MJs level for quite a few years. LeBum doesn’t even play D. He also has the worst footwork outta any superstar not a big man style of player. LeFlop isn’t clutch.
The nba will be better off without lebron. Cant wait for him to retire. Hes gonna make history when bronny retires alongaide his dad

Even more, they'd have to do it for the top DPOY candidates, to be fair.
@@AfricanThinker86 Agreed! Thought I had included that, all fixed now. Thank you.
