Who was Aragorn in Lord Of The Rings?
Aragorn, Son of Arathorn, was a Ranger of the North, known by many names, but first introduced in the movies as Strider, the last heir of Isildur and later to be crowned as King Elessar, King of Arnor and Gondor and the 16th Chieftain of the Dunedain.
He was both a confidant of Gandalf and a major part in the quest to destroy the One Ring and defeat the Dark Lord Sauron before his coronation.
As a young child, Aragorn’s Father was killed by a band of Orc’s leaving him to be fostered by one of the greatest elves of the Third Age, Lord Elrond. It was here he met his true Love, Arwen, daughter of Elrond, who he later took as his wife.
They ruled side by side for the first 120 years of the Fourth Age before his passing, swiftly followed in death by Arwen, from a broken heart.
