After the CMC feel like heels for trying to get back at Babs for bullying them, only for AJ to inform her sister Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle & Scootaloo that Babs Seed was bullied herself for being a "blank flank" back home. Nonetheless, that doesn't excuse Babs Seed's bullying behavior. This is especially since the victims of bullying often feel like they can't win, because if they tell grown-ups, then the bully will lie to protect themselves from being held accountable for their actions (meaning, they'll be terrible when people of authority are out of earshot, but will act angelic in front of them) & if not that, then some bullies genuinely have more pull (physical strength & direct assertiveness [which are used on those who are weak against threats] and/or political & financial influence [such as in, the bully's parents giving considerable donations to backdoor fund the school their delinquent offspring & the put-upon victim attend, the bully has support from specific teachers who believe that such behavior "toughens people up" & allows them to face the harsh realities of the world far better than molly-coddled sheltered children, the bully's parents having some underhanded controversial intel on the school principal that could force them into letting the misbehaving child go scot-free despite not really wanting to do so, the bully's parents being charter members of the schoolboard who could essentially fire everyone at the school who tries to reprimand/discipline their unruly child simply due to the strong positions of power they carry, etc.]), which means the victim has no other course of action than to defend themselves, but when that happens, the victim is generally perceived as no worse than the person who was bullying them in the first place & if the designated educators in charge of ending the matter before it gets out of hand only catch the victim standing up for themselves, the whole situation very quickly could descend into a back-and-forth scenario pitting the victim's account of events against the lies the bully might tell to "save face", during which time both the victim & the bully very well could find themselves in detention or even perhaps suspended if the problem escalates even further), so no matter what, it seems like the victim has no means of getting the bullying to stop, the bully get lets off rather than punished (because a lot of the time, simply reprimanding the bully [with the miscreant responding robotically that "They'll never do it again" meanwhile outright lying through their teeth, as they certainly will behave that way again when they find opportunity to act out once more without getting caught] will only make them torment their chosen victim even worse after the fact, particularly if they think the victim snitched on them/ratted them out/tattled, which in turn, unfortunately ruins the social standing of the victim [given how the victim can be perceived as spineless, a weakling, a wimp, a wuss, a pussy/cockhold/simp for the guys who let their women "wear the pants" rather than being the dominant one in their romantic relationships, and other unflattening labels that basically damage the victim's own school reputation]), and as clearly demonstrated, those who are supposed to end the bullying before it gets increasingly worse are noticeably terrible at their job.
