Thanks man. Yes the grip angle is one of the best parts. It definitely feels natural like it’s made for your hand. Taurus did a thing for sure with this one.
Have the Mossberg mc2c and the gx4 both run great and super under rated
My man I was looking at some Tauruses’ today at the ngushop but I went with a Smitty compact 9. Might cop one later this month.

The slide release is to round, it's a defect. It doesn't do it with the empty mag in because there is a small lever in the magwell that the mag pushed up on when inserted that puts pressure upward. Some people file it to more of a point but id just send it back like i did mine.
I called Taurus and they told me this how they are made. They said it’s not a defect but it’s a “safety feature”. It’s kind of an odd safety feature but yeah I’m gone think about filing that piece like you said.
@proud2carry just binged your review, left a comment on the 1000 rd review when I heard they said that. They are getting sloppy with their customer support with the recalls and now this. You should always be able to have the slide lock back, drop mag, insert new mag and release.
@@Jspray28 I agree for sure. 👍🏽 it’s the only firearm I own that does that. But from what I’ve seen, only the ones with the serial number on the back does this. The ones with the serial number on the slide and barrel does not do it. It stays locked open.
@proud2carry hey my guy, I thought I'd give an update on mine. I just called taurus, they said that it is a malfunction and just sent me a FedEx shipping label to FedEx Air at no cost to send it in.

Remember you can get the original flat Baseplates if you want to change the look. I like the feel & look tho or the Carrys.

No handguns slide will go forward with the magazine in unless you hold the slide release down and pull back on the slide then release the slide.
you can literally just press the slide release.
only if loaded but my xds and my gx4 will close on an empty mag. my glock never did

I am 99% sure that this will be my next purchase for EDC. How does it actually carry though? Is it comfortable? Easily concealable under just a t-shirt?

Sorry for the late response, but yes it is comfortable and easily concealable under a t-shirt. Just keep in mind. Your EDD belt and holster choice will play a big role in how well it conceals on your body.

Think the 14 round gx4 mags fit but the base plates hit so they have to be swapped
All slide catches are very sensitive on the GX4’s

@@yaakd that I’m not sure of to be honest. I would say try a holster that fits the Taurus GX4 XL. Of that doesn’t work. It just has to be a range toy until someone releases a holster option for it
