I cry to think of what we have suffered as a nation because we were robbed of a great president in 2000. Let's all try our very best not to allow that to happen ever again!!!!!
I grew up in the 90s, and I still remember the day the Supreme Court made its decision in 2000. Let me just say, I truly believe we would have been better off had Al Gore been president... one can only wonder how things would be so vastly different. *sigh*
If he was president, we wouldn't have a national debt that was so hefty. We wouldn't have terrible foreign affairs, unequal marriage and voting rights, and a war that caused not only a major human rights crisis but worsens the fight on environmental issues. Don't mention the recession.
For the 2012 Democratic National Convention, they should do the same thing as this one. The first three days inside a basketball arena, and for the fourth and final day, in a football stadium. That way it will be more open to the public if people want to come and participate and it will raise the television ratings.
I love Al Gore. Man, I was pissed when lost in 2000!! I lived in Los Angeles at the time. The day W was inaugurated, there were a long faces at work. I remember one of my fellow employees saying the idiot is getting inaugurated today. I think that was one time we all agreed!!
Probably decades in the future, this single man will be remembered more than the Denver democratic convention enthusiasm and the bickering of this election due to his commitment to start awareness of the opportunity we have to save our planet right now and leave even a little bit of its life-sustaining features to our sons.
"Didn't know Al Gore was also a born-orator." I know, isn't it a shame he didn't shine like that during the presidential race? Same goes for Kerry and his brilliant and passionate speech. I'm pretty convinced those two are actually the rightful former presidents, by popular vote.(this has been *well* documented)
Thats actually a good point. Despite what the republicans might say most Americans would have a bad reaction to any of those names. I can just see the response to the "experience" question: "Yeah and you know who else was experienced? Cheney: 25 years in Congress and Republican White House positions, Rumsfeld: in government from '63 - '77, part time under Reagan, foreign policy experience, was a CEO, etc...see where that got us when lives were at stake?"
Wonderful speech! I think he rushed it a bit to help keep the focus on Barack who gave a great speech as well. I sure hope McCrazy gets his arse kicked!
I accidentally hit the thumbs down, but I wanted to hit the thumbs up! I so agree! If I were older back then I would have voted for Gore, he ROCKS!!!!!!!
i can't even begin to imagine how different things would have been for america if he became president back in the early 2000s. i know he would have been a great president. i hope that after obama finishes his second term, which i know he will get, al gore will finally decide to run again. america needs to keep the reigns of power out of the hands of the party of ignorance, the ones who flushed the economy down the toilet, started two wars, gave the rich tax breaks, and skyrocketed national debt.
Another phenomenal speech delivered from the Dems. Great job Gore! In my opinion, I have found that the speeches I've seen from the DNC have been inspirational, whereas the speeches I've seen during the RNC thus far have been..... lacking. I've also noticed that a couple of the Republican speakers have a constant need to clear their throats, and I find that a bit distracting. But I guess that is what happens when you are choking on your own bullshit.
Don't get me wrong, I want Obama to win and he will, but was it worth these eight horrible years of Bush? I guess it was....Once Obama is sworn in, does everyone realize we have Bush to thank? Very ironic!
The crowd was like there is the true president of the last 8 years
He did win in 2000!
I cry to think of what we have suffered as a nation because we were robbed of a great president in 2000. Let's all try our very best not to allow that to happen ever again!!!!!
Boomer1949 - it would have been President Carter's 2nd term- the greatest human being to ever hold that office
Welp. It did
Al gore is a jackass

eriad1019 - or John Kerry in 04
My we introduce the 43rd President of the United States. Al Gore!
al gore is awesome! he did win in 2000 and would have made a great president
I wish he won in 2000.
He did win Jeb and George W. Bush literally stole the election from him by camping with the Floridian votes.
If he was president, we wouldn't have a national debt that was so hefty. We wouldn't have terrible foreign affairs, unequal marriage and voting rights, and a war that caused not only a major human rights crisis but worsens the fight on environmental issues. Don't mention the recession.
UGK EleVate we would have a surplus (and it would remain in a "lock box")
Gosh, I wish I voted for Al Gore in 2000. I was more worried about sports than politics at the time so I didn't care. Al Gore is a great person.
Great speech by President Gore!
Al Gore should've won in 2000!
lovejangie1 - he did.
Great speech. I also enjoyed the opening song!
I think former US VP Al Gore you enter the 2024 Democratic Presidential Race and challenge US President Joe Biden.
WHAT A MAN! GREAT!

one of the best speakers ever! both intellectually and emotionally inspiring -- and maintaining a class worth of a president!
Gore should have been president,oh yes it's true its damn true
There would have been no 9/11 if Al Gore had won because Gore would have taken the August 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing seriously.
Jack Tripper - or the other 6
he should have been this passionate 8 years ago. Maybe we wouldn't be in this mess now.
Oh, how I wish I could vote for him THIS year.
if only he had been elected...
HE WAS ELECTED
Succint but extremely powerful speach!!
Didn't know Al Gore was also a born-orator.
Probably decades in the future, this single man will be remembered more than the Denver democratic convention enthusiasm and the bickering of this election due to his commitment to start awareness of the opportunity we have to save our planet right now and leave even a little bit of its life-sustaining features to our sons.
Everything he said about climate change did happen. If he were elected, the world literally would've been better off.
How much times have changed.

Both parties say the other one sucks, and their both right ....hah
He looks fantastic... Like hes lost weight and a few years :)
Wonderful speech!
I think he rushed it a bit to help keep the focus on Barack who gave a great speech as well.

Does anyone know what's the song at the beginning?
this man should have been president - obama should have him campaigning in targeted battleground states
what's the name of that song?
Going to have to use that Lincoln bit when people try to say Obama doesn't have the experience needed
Would anybody happen to know Vice President Gore's entrance song?
I accidentally hit the thumbs down, but I wanted to hit the thumbs up! I so agree! If I were older back then I would have voted for Gore, he ROCKS!!!!!!!
I did and proud of it 💖💖
Excellent ! ! !

More people voted for him than they did for Bush.

Did AL fly in on his personel jet? I bet know one from the liberal media has the balls to ask him!
