I cry to think of what we have suffered as a nation because we were robbed of a great president in 2000. Let's all try our very best not to allow that to happen ever again!!!!!

I grew up in the 90s, and I still remember the day the Supreme Court made its decision in 2000. Let me just say, I truly believe we would have been better off had Al Gore been president... one can only wonder how things would be so vastly different. *sigh*

He did win Jeb and George W. Bush literally stole the election from him by camping with the Floridian votes.

If he was president, we wouldn't have a national debt that was so hefty. We wouldn't have terrible foreign affairs, unequal marriage and voting rights, and a war that caused not only a major human rights crisis but worsens the fight on environmental issues. Don't mention the recession.

Gosh, I wish I voted for Al Gore in 2000. I was more worried about sports than politics at the time so I didn't care. Al Gore is a great person.

For the 2012 Democratic National Convention, they should do the same thing as this one. The first three days inside a basketball arena, and for the fourth and final day, in a football stadium. That way it will be more open to the public if people want to come and participate and it will raise the television ratings.

I love Al Gore. Man, I was pissed when lost in 2000!! I lived in Los Angeles at the time. The day W was inaugurated, there were a long faces at work. I remember one of my fellow employees saying the idiot is getting inaugurated today. I think that was one time we all agreed!!

There would have been no 9/11 if Al Gore had won because Gore would have taken the August 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing seriously.

Probably decades in the future, this single man will be remembered more than the Denver democratic convention enthusiasm and the bickering of this election due to his commitment to start awareness of the opportunity we have to save our planet right now and leave even a little bit of its life-sustaining features to our sons.

"Didn't know Al Gore was also a born-orator."
I know, isn't it a shame he didn't shine like that during the presidential race? Same goes for Kerry and his brilliant and passionate speech. I'm pretty convinced those two are actually the rightful former presidents, by popular vote.(this has been *well* documented)

Thats actually a good point. Despite what the republicans might say most Americans would have a bad reaction to any of those names.
I can just see the response to the "experience" question:
"Yeah and you know who else was experienced? Cheney: 25 years in Congress and Republican White House positions, Rumsfeld: in government from '63 - '77, part time under Reagan, foreign policy experience, was a CEO, etc...see where that got us when lives were at stake?"

i can't even begin to imagine how different things would have been for america if he became president back in the early 2000s. i know he would have been a great president. i hope that after obama finishes his second term, which i know he will get, al gore will finally decide to run again. america needs to keep the reigns of power out of the hands of the party of ignorance, the ones who flushed the economy down the toilet, started two wars, gave the rich tax breaks, and skyrocketed national debt.

Another phenomenal speech delivered from the Dems. Great job Gore!
In my opinion, I have found that the speeches I've seen from the DNC have been inspirational, whereas the speeches I've seen during the RNC thus far have been..... lacking. I've also noticed that a couple of the Republican speakers have a constant need to clear their throats, and I find that a bit distracting. But I guess that is what happens when you are choking on your own bullshit.
