    Hi, Boricua, nice 💅, I'm Puerto Rican, I'm a Certified Chef, you did great... MAMITA a hint for next time in order to keep your Cutting Board *STEADY* Put a Damp towel underneath the *PICADOR* so it's more Stable and is more safety that way...... ❤❤❤😘😘😘🥔🥑🇵🇷

    s lot of people think PR and plantains, i am not a big fan of plantains fried or any of that. I love it but if they give me a choice i would so go with tostones de pana, my favorite food probably, love it so much. We get panas for free, i mean people you know have trees or whatever they give them (pricans are like that) so yea i eat them from time to time, i love it so much.

    I am from the islands.....we do the same thing with green plantains. ....I never knew breadfruit could be dried raw.....we roast or bake the breadfruit. ...eat like that or slice and fry.....I just baked 4 breadfruit. ...if I saw this before I would have tried ur recipe. ....hopefully soon I will get a breadfruit and try this

    In Hawaii, we would boil in water , then eat with shoyu & oil, so ono (delicious)!
    I'll boil, smash, sprinkle with oil, then roast in oven for crispness. Hoping that will taste as great as yours.

    Nice video and sweet voice :) I had some of these that were purchased frozen, then fried in olive oil until golden brown. The product was made in the Dominican Republic, they were a huge disappointment, had all the flavor of laundry lint, not kidding, imagine eating something with zero flavor. I didn't put Garlic / Olive oil on mine after cooking, maybe that's the secret. I think they need some king of sauce or something.

    We have lots of breadfruit in St Vincent, I can assure you it does not cause itching to your hands, I like the way you cook it, enjoy!!!

      Charles Huggins she could be allergic from the milky sap, you cannot speak for all. We have pineapples and every time I eat one I get an itching on my lips and until someone told me that it’s because I don’t peel deep enough. So some rinds from the skin is causing that.

    Las panas son riquisimas. Se puede sancochar, freír, asar y hasta hacemos Flan de pana cuando la pana está madura (postre) La prefiero sobre el plátano, guineo,papá y demás. Exquisita!

    We also have grapefruit here, and was looking for a new way to cook it, and found your marvellous recipe - but can you please tell us what you put onto the fried and finished version that appears on the plate at 08:26 please?
    Ah, and it's nice to note that you also have this pulao / briani style rice... very comforting to see how may points our countries have in common!

      You can just salt or garlic salt them, or make a dip with olive oil, garlic and cilantro.

    Wonderful video thank you for keeping it short and editing out the long Parts a lot of people make 20 minute videos out of 3 minutes of information this was a wonderful next time I go to Puerto Rico or wherever I can get some pain. I'm going to try this one thank you very much

    Technically there when they break fruits are young that is out there but when they're full they do not have that milky substance coming out of them so what you have there is a young breadfruit which doesn't taste as nice as the full one

    you could be having an allergic reaction to the breadfruit sup in St Vincent and the Grenadines we have lots of red fruit and I've never had anyone complain about it scratching their hands so you might just be allergic to it so please be careful

      Breadfruit tastes like a sweet Yukon gold potato, but not as sweet as a sweet potato. The texture when cooked is similar to Yukon gold too

    Looks nice but I want the cutting up process a little bit easier so I bake the bread fruit first it's much easier to slice.

    I used to hate it because my mom loves it so much we would eat it not every day but at least 3 times per week on season. I learn to appreciate it in chips but the worst IMO is the ripe ones... ça ne drunk just by smelling it

    Maybe it's itching your hands because of the texture of the bread fruit skin because the skin has little one fuzz on them

    Be aware that breadfruit contains latex. If you don't have a latex allergy it should be ok.
    It's great to see another way to cook these, thank you very much.
    That's the core, BTW, not the root. I'm a little concerned about how you cut things, please be more careful, I don't want you to get hurt.
    Aside from safety concerns, good job, it looks delicious!

      +interstategar i dont know where you live, if its easy to find "Pana" but if you can try it, you wont regret it. Plantains are good but this is just other thing, love it so much. I wish i had a pana around but dont have any right now lol.

    Mira mija yo soy criado y nacido en puerto rico pero no estoy aya estoy muy lejosv estoy en el salvador y la pana nose prepara asi le estas dejando toda los porros noteva a seber nada de buena nose como las adres pero no es la forma esxasta y esta madura madura no sirve para comer por que el sabor se queda en el agua ni fritas por que el aceite las quema el sabor no eres boricua eres boricua newyorican los puerto riqueños nacidos y criados aya somos num 1 aciendo panas en cuarguier plato
