    Hi Olga,
    If you're wanting to chop onions, they should be on low speed - around 2-3. If you're chopping cheese, bread crumbs, coleslaw it needs to be on high speed.
    I hope this helps! Have a great day.

    Awesome ! I am so in love with your channel, hahah. I think when I'll have my Vitamix (hopefully soon :p) I will use dry chopping more... I don't know why, but with this wet chopping technique I have this feeling that lots of the nutrients would go in the water and then be wasted... Like how I prefer to steam instead of boiling so that the nutrients don't end up in the boiling water that you throw away

    Iʻve had my VitaMix (couldnʻt live without it!!) since 2013 and never heard of wet chopping until today. Thanks for the instructions!! I use it EVERY DAY. People out there, if youʻre thinking about buying a VitaMix, seriously. Iʻve been on the keto diet, my dog is now on the keto diet, and I could not do keto without my VitaMix. It makes life SO much easier. I will now make SO much more cole slaw!!! with the wet chopping method.

    Hi Bainkel, Thanks for the question. The Wet Container would be best for chopping vegetables like onions. I hope this helps!

    Do you get a more consistent onion chop when you don't use any water?

    Hi everyone. Should I get a reconditioned 5200 with a five year warranty or a new 5300 with a seven year warranty? Seems like the answer should be obvious but I'm unclear about some of the features and which has which, like variable speed control. Can I chop vegetables in both? Grind grains in both? Thanks.

    Can i chop fresh dry coconut and can i make cassava puree from fresh cassava with the wet blade

    • @RawBlendAustralia
      @RawBlendAustralia  4 роки тому

      What were you wanting to make with the coconut? A flour? You can also blend fresh cassava to form a puree however, you might need to lightly steam it first or soak it in water to soften it a little bit. Happy blending!

    Have you used only dry containers, only wet containers or half wet and half dry containers in this test?

      Hi Ree,
      All of the containers are the 2L Wet container. Have a great day!

    Can I blend soaked lentils with water to a paste in this machine?

    • @RawBlendAustralia
      @RawBlendAustralia  6 років тому

      You certainly can. We would make a paste in the Mini 0.9L Wet container though and not in the Dry Container.

    I just got a vitamix and used it for dry chopping. I had trouble getting everything out of the jar. I used a wooden spoon but it was not easy. Any tricks or tips?

      Hi lyndsay a
      We always use our Raw Blend Spatula which is made for the Vitamix.
      If you are in Australia, you can purchase one from our website: shop.rawblend.com.au/raw-blend-spatula-for-vitamix-blenders/
      If not, try and find a spatula that is slim and flat so that it can fit in between the blades and long so that it can reach all the way down :)
      Thanks for watching and happy blending!

    Hi. Could I chop cauliflower to make cauliflower rice?

    • @RawBlendAustralia
      @RawBlendAustralia  4 роки тому +1

      Yes you can! All you need to do is drop cauliflower segments from the small opening in the lid as the machine is on HIGH SPEED. Definitely an easier way to chop it up for Cauliflower Rice :)

    So if you chop dry foods with the wet blade, than it is not really necessary to buy the dry blade container?

    • @RawBlendAustralia
      @RawBlendAustralia  10 років тому +4

      Hi Ree,
      The Dry Blade Container is used for grinding whole grains, rice, beans and kneading oven-ready bread dough. It is a completely different blade than the wet container. If you put peanuts in the Dry container, you make peanut flour. If you put peanuts in the Wet container, you make peanut butter. It is the end product that gives the container its name. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

    Is this the wet blender 5200?

  • @marisve007

    I want to use it mostly for Indian recipes, rather than only for chopping and/or mincing.
