Chris Yates is an absolute legend, a former British record holder, a lil bit eccentric but i could listen to him for hours. Apart from his fishing records his main claim to fame is the incredible A Passion For Angling TV series, a must watch for any fisherman.
The Grandmaster Chris Yates! A true British icon and an incredible writer and fisherman❤️ He held the British Carp Record for many years, by capturing a 51lb 5oz mirror carp from the famous Redmire Pool in 1980.
The slow motion shot of him blowing the pipe and shooting at the bell reminds me of the animated version of the BFG. And the fact he has a dream journal is even more fitting! Cool.
Life is beautiful in spite of its setbacks, because I believe being alive is such a miracle... What is to live life? It's to do what birds do every morning when the sun comes out. if you don't reach happiness with the beautiful little things of life... don't expect being happy with the biggest ones.
this was very needed and unexpected. remember to be in peace with urself before u go and remember to appreciate all the small things in life like the tree that has been there for years thru hot days and snow. we all go thru shit and should just try to relax and appreciate life. this was sick

I like how he's like a hobbit in a sense. Pretty eloquent, interesting and somehow at peace, almost like he's few hundred years old

I went fishing with my Grandfather a few times over at South Norwood Lake as a kid and on my own back in Essex in the eighties.
