Azys Lla was such a drastic change in aesthetic from the rest of Heavensward, it felt like such a surprise but it was done so well. Definitely my favourite final area so far
One of my favorite areas in the game. Contrasting with the way the game starts out with such normal, organic maps, it gives this sense of just how far the WOL has travelled. From riding around the forests of Gridania on an overgrown chicken to flying around some ancient, advanced civilization on the back of a dragon.

What's scary is that the Allag turned that ship into a museum...so it was an outdated ship to the Allag...could you imagine what their then modern warships can do in combat? Could you imagine how powerless the Garlean Dreadnought would be compared to an Allag warship? The Allag were mighty scary advanced.....

This song definitely has a bit of an air of finality to it. I was saddened by the events that occurred before arriving in Azys Lla (especially by what happened after the Vault ;.;), but hearing this music motivated me to press on despite everything that had happened. In honor of those we had lost in our journey, and also for those who could still be saved.
I just realized why that 2-note organ segment from the last part after 3:13 sounds so familiar. It's kinda like a piece of the sped up Title/"Omen" theme from FFVI. Love the little easter eggs everywhere!!
The wonder of this technological miracle is tempered by the still fresh memories of Haurchefant's death. The music captured it perfectly, and the fact that it keeps playing through the trash battles adds to the gravity of what is just over the horizon. Somewhat simplistic, and somewhat redundant before the piano piece, yet it beautifully serenades the final ballads of the story leading up to 3.0's climax.
Got to Azys Lla a few days ago for the first time and this song is one of the best songs i have heard ingame up until now and there were some bangers. Techno-organ just hits different.
This was the heaviest part of Heavensward for me... of course after all that happened right after we return to Ishgard, my heart was like a damn rock inside my chest. Then entering Azys Lla the way we enter and then seeing all the cruelty the Allagans did there and it all maximized by the fact that everything is locked in there for 5 thousand years, the theme song just made me want to puke the whole time I spent there doing the quests. This is not bad thing, though, I mean, they did a great job in extracting reactions from me and most of the people I know felt the same about it.
As much as I have loved Stormblood (and I have overall been enjoying it even more than Heavensward) I sincerely hope we are given a reason to return here one day. There is so much allagan stuff in this game and I genuinely think it would be awesome for it to come into the forefront of the MSQ in the future.
I have a feeling we will return here to release Tiamat in a future expansion or patch for Stormblood. Most likely when we head to Meracydia in a future expansion since it is said that it's a wasteland from the Allagan invasion. Another use could be to bind a powerful Primal that's too much for the WoL and thus, will need the Flagship to entomb the primal since the Warring Triad are now gone, so that leaves the Primal containment labs empty.
Seeing the warring triads looming in the distance while listening to this song was just...such a great feeling the first time i entered this map. "I'm waiting for the day you three returns"
got my dragonlancer armor and im actual scared and pump up to finish this amazing story. I fucking Love Midgardsomr and i feel sad and sorry for what his daughter has to go through and especially every single child of Midgardsomr.
This is one of - if not - the best tracks in this game. I loved waking up to this in this zone. It's one of the times in the game it makes it feel okay to just sit and do nothing and enjoy the music/aesthetic of the scenery. There's just so much going on with this track and it's got so many parts to it. I'm not sure how to describe it.
I love when you first unlock flying on Midgardsormr here and fly to the centre of the map to do the final piece of the story. Especially when the flying animation (kinda) is in sync with the song's beat.
Seeing all Azys Lla and the whole Allagan lore it makes me think that it was a good thing the Allagans destroyed themselves. Think about it...looking at the recent events of the Heavensward finale(SPOILERS) The archbishop with his inmense might, easily destroyed Lahabrea a top tier Ascian. The Allagans were like an almost omnipotent beings considering the technology and science they employed, these beings imprisioned and controled beings who are gods themselves, the warring triad in FF6 made Kefka a nigh omnipotent god of magic and this version of the Warring Triad apparently is super strong as well considering Urianger said that if they were to awoken the world would easily be destroyed YET the Allagans imprisioned these beings and used their energy like if they were nothing. Makes me think that the whole covenant with Cloud of Darkness was just a ruse set by the Allagans to control the Cloud and let the other voidsents into our world to experiment wih them. Also if I am not mistaken Xande said he acquired the power of darkness thanks to Cloud of Darkness, meaning the allagans might have employed that great power as well. So far the Eikons have been the only beings described as "Strongly opposing the Allagan empire" yet the succumbed to them.
Orochimaru sama Just like humans basically... destroying our environment and enslaving/killing any other animal as much as we like. Sooner or later we'll kill ourselves too.
Orochimaru sama Mmm, well said. +Orochimaru sama Yet, after Crystal Tower you learn not all the Allagans were such terrible people. Emperor Xande was the one obsessed with imperialism, and Emperors after him like Amon. But those like Princess Salina (who imparted G'raha's ancestors a task) believed that Allag should have stood for hope and inspiration, rather than tyranny and mechanical godhood.

STILL the best looking zone ingame. Incredible stuff, unique buildings and constructs everywhere. Yet desolately empty of content, which is kind of applicable. Glad they did add some main story quests in the zone later on.
This area took one of my favourite characters away from me, and then technically brought a new one in.
Rest In peace Ysayle, Ishikawa had plans for you but Oda said otherwise.
Omega on the other hand however, let us see her journey to the end.
I would literally fight all the damn PvP se wants to throw down my throat for this orchestrion roll ....
You can probably grab it off the MB for cheap, if you don't have it already. They're going for under 1,000 Gil on Malboro as of this evening (29 June, 2020).
This theme will forever one of the most badass themes ever. Even Shinryu had bits of it.
If you’ve never heard terry d’s piano version deff look it up. Complete diff take just from the change in instruments
when you're slowly going insane grinding barreleyes
This music has been giving me Lufia vibes. And I love it!
Absolute fucking banger.
Fills me with determination
Damn FF Synthwave lool Amazing
0:52 that sounds so much like classic SNES Final Fantasy
When Azys Lla first descended in that cutscene, I knew what it was immediately.
the unexpected synth organ is the best part
Am I the only one that gets reminded of Persona 5 from this track? Sounds like a palace theme.
Being a fan of *all* FF themes in the games I've played (from VII and up),I think XIV has lots of goodies, and before this new favorite came,Wanderers' Temple Hard was my first. ^_^ Fully agree the piano part ends this catchy music well.
Absolute banger. I paid the 40k for the orcheston
Isn't this a flavor of "Final Fantasy VIII - Man With the Machine Gun" ... ?
