Excellent and no pulled punches. Been a fan of Buck since I got my first camp knife in the early 60s and a 110 Hunter in the later 60s. Love this little knife. Thank you.
@@ThriftyKaniffy I recently bought my Buck 385 and am completely satisfied. Mine came out of the box with an excellent edge. I considered other toothpicks but, as stated, I have a difficult time walking by a Buck knife. Your review was honest and had great information. Right now I am considering a Bowie and am trying to choose between a Buck 120 or the 124. Decisions decisions 🤣👍🏻
Thanks for posting this one ! I have both the rosewood and burlwood options. I also purchased a case toothpick to compare them. I really like the satin finish on the buck blades over the shiny one of Case. After using them extensively I find that the Case finish developed scratches almost immediately, where as the finish on the Buck brand has stayed the same as new, so far. However, I have found the Case toothpick to have a slightly thinner blade and a much finer cut than the Buck toothpicks when peeling fruit. Each came factory sharp and I have honed each of them in the same way after some use. I am still enjoying comparing them and carry them in a small nylon " Chums " pouch, so they won't slip out of my pocket and be lost.
I really like the look of burlwood. I like carry the smaller tooth picks. I am starting to not mind having to do a little extra work on new knives. Great video my friend!
@@RandysWSG Yeah, I suppose it did make me learn to sharpen. I just think I should be able to be out and on a whim, pick a new one up and begin using it for it's intended purpose. Some of them today barely cut tape.
I think Buck hit it out of the park with that Burl wood. I really think it makes the knife look way better. I'm interested in getting the Buck Canoe in Burl wood. Thanks for the review
Great post vid stills and soundtrack! Your channel has to be making sales for all the brands you review. I sure hope they are comping you out some how!
Hi TK: It’s a very nice looking knife. I have a few toothpicks but not many. I’m not quite sure why I’ve never been drawn to the pattern. I do like to see ‘em on the channels though. One can always count on Tobias when a toothpick fix is needed. 😊 🦷
Normally carry little larger blade - but I've hit warehouse with nothing but a peanut or a toothpick n got the job done - those blades ain't nothing to sneeze at - busted thru straps - broke down shrink wrap on pallets - broke down boxes etc 💥💥👊🔥 great vid man
pretty much all you need. I'd love to go on one of those survival shoes with the jokesters using14 ounce blades to baton with while I just use a toothpick to do everything effortlessly. Smarter not harder, friends.
hey John, I just wanted to let you know that I just saw that Walmart has the Buck 110 120th anniversary model on sale again but for 34.97. This way you can put out a alert for the guys. Later bud

Not everyone is looking at it from a carving and whittling perspective. A toothpick makes a great knife for making stencils for example and new belt hole. It's no ordinary 420 either.
Hey TK, Is that an officially liscenscend knife from Buck? I have one that has been determined by Buck to be fake and that one looks a little similar. It's a shame that someone is making a knockoff from a very good and reputable Co.

That burlwood looks great! Thanks for showing this one off, my friend!
The handles are really nice. Looking to get a few more of the imports with burlwood.
I bought one. I love it. Super lightweight. Easy to carry in your pocket.
Right on, Smart. They do ride easy in the pocket. Thanks for taking at look.

It's not too difficult, but I have to say, that I do mind. I'd pay twice a much if I didn't have to do Buck's work for them.

Very nice handles! I’ve never had a knife with Burlwood; do they take much additional care? (Oil, wax, etc)
I add a little linseed oil every once in a great while. Thanks Dr. J.
