For the last few years, Walmart get a ton of these Made in China gift sets. Many of them are knives you can buy separately, but if look the gift sets have lower grade steels. 😱
As you probably know the UK knife laws are hard. Unless you use online stores like Blades.UK, who have a pretty good stock the only places we can buy decent steel is fishing or light game hunting shops and they charge a small fortune. I’ve just picked up 2 half decent Rough Rider folders for less than the price of a Case folder. I’ll be doing a review later today or tomorrow. It’s like comparing a Harley against a Honda or a Glock compared to a 911. Now and then I do save for a decent blade but mostly I get budget knives. The trouble is also sites like Allie Express sell knock offs that may look likes the real thing but are made out of crap materials and fall apart once you use them rather than just shine the blade and stick them on a display shelf. Don’t get me wrong Allie do sell some decent blades but if you see a £150 Cold Steel knife for £20 it’s obviously a piece of shit and if you waste your money on one then more fool you. Sorry if I went on a bit but it does piss me off that I see collectors on UA-cam who think it’s ok to buy knock off’s. Take care brother 🔪👍.
The Buck large is really a medium frame toothpick. It’s not a bad knife. I recall Frost or Kissing Crane (Bud-K) used to offer a similar 2 blade toothpicks. The red pakkawood looks really nice. I wish Buck wood step up to at least 440a for its China knives. They keep using 420J2

The larger 2 blade toothpick is an ideal size for me, and I like the second blade.
